Chapter 82: Chapter 79: A World-Shocking Battle
"So fast!" Di Cang’s pupils shrank. His years of combat experience allowed him to easily pinpoint Mu Chen’s position, but when he tried to move, he found his body simply couldn’t react in ti. ’If I don’t raise my Martial Artist Realm, this punch will definitely land.’
Left with no choice, Di Cang’s Martial Rings flashed beneath his feet as he instantly raised his level to Martial Arts Master. This was just enough to dodge Mu Chen’s Thunderbolt Fist. But it was only a dodge. Before he could recover his stance, Mu Chen’s fist was already smashing in from another direction. This ti, Di Cang’s center of gravity was off, and he couldn’t react imdiately. Yet, just as Mu Chen’s fist was about to make contact with his left rib, Di Cang twisted his body in a bizarre way, allowing the fist to graze past him. Other than the force of the punch tearing his clothes, it caused Di Cang no harm.
Di Cang used the montum of the twist to spin in mid-air, launching a kick at Mu Chen’s neck. Mu Chen quickly blocked it, but the instant he did, a burst of Primordial Power erupted from Di Cang’s leg, sending Mu Chen sliding backward.
STOMP, STOMP, STOMP... Mu Chen took three heavy steps back before steadying himself. ’I finally understand what true combat experience ans,’ he thought. ’If I were facing a regular student, they would’ve lost on my first hit—and that’s with my weights off!’
"Not bad, kid! You forced
to raise my realm three tis in just one exchange. Let’s continue!" Di Cang laughed, his eyes filled with praise. But he knew the boy across from him was capable of much, much more.
"Alright!" Mu Chen was undoubtedly the most excited. He loved battles like this, loved improving himself and grasping all sorts of Combat Techniques through fighting. With that, Mu Chen took a step forward and vanished in a Flash of Thunder...
Because Di Cang had suppressed his realm to that of a Fifth-Ring Martial Master, he could only use Body Techniques. Martial Artists who had truly reached a High Level Realm almost exclusively fought using Primordial Power.
WHOOSH!
A figure flashed in front of Di Cang, a fist surging with Thunder Light appearing instantly before his chest. BOOM! Just as Mu Chen threw his punch, Di Cang shot forward to et it, throwing a punch of his own. After a loud crash, Di Cang’s body slid back over ten ters, while Mu Chen didn’t move an inch.
Zhun Cang, who was watching from the side, was already dumbfounded. Di Cang, however, furrowed his brow. He had considered the purity of Mu Chen’s Primordial Power, but he had forgotten that Mu Chen possessed strength even greater than Little Tiger’s Innate Divine Power. A faint numbness spreading through his arm told him that the boy’s every punch carried a Thunder Attribute Attack. Yet, outwardly, there was no sign he possessed Thunder Attribute Primordial Power.
"Hah!" Di Cang’s Martial Artist Realm soared again. This ti, he directly jumped a whole class: One-Ring Great Martial Master!
Without a word, Di Cang shot forward, blasting a punch toward Mu Chen. Mu Chen was stunned, not expecting Di Cang to take the initiative. A grin spread across his face, and instead of retreating, he advanced. He appeared right in front of Di Cang again, swinging his Thunderbolt Fist with a sharp, air-rending sound.
BOOM!
A wave of Primordial Power rippled through the space. Mu Chen took one step back, but Di Cang was forced a full four steps back. Di Cang’s brow furrowed. ’What incredible strength. With power like this, ordinary Martial Artists would truly be unable to resist it.’
Suddenly, Di Cang’s Martial Artist Realm surged once more. This ti, he made an estimation: based on Mu Chen’s strength, an experienced Nine-Ring Grand Martial Master coordinating their Primordial Power should be able to contend with him. So, Di Cang raised his Martial Artist Realm directly to that of a Nine-Ring Grand Martial Master.
Nine yellow Martial Rings flickered continuously beneath Di Cang’s feet, and his aura underwent a change. For a mont, Mu Chen actually felt a trace of pressure.
"Again!" Di Cang bellowed. Yellow Primordial Power flowed through the air around him. At the Grand Martial Master Realm, Primordial Power could be released externally. Mu Chen still didn’t choose to evade, but t the attack head-on.
After a trendous crash, both retreated three steps. They exchanged a look, and their fists slamd together again. For a mont, the entire vast space filled with constant rumbles, each impact generating a churning shockwave. This collision of power was utterly stunning. Zhun Cang, at the side, already had his jaw hanging open wide enough to fit two eggs inside.
He simply couldn’t comprehend how a kid like Mu Chen could possess such imnse power. It was like witnessing a miracle: a re Third-Ring Martial Master clashing head-on with Old Cangtou at the Nine-Ring Grand Martial Master level and not losing any ground. Furthermore, Zhun Cang noticed that Mu Chen’s control over his Primordial Power was so precise that not a single trace leaked out. His movents were all concise, with no wasted motion. Only wily, veteran Martial Artists, true Great Powers, could reach such a level. He even had the strange feeling that Mu Chen’s application of techniques was starting to surpass Di Cang’s.
Of course, Di Cang could see what even Zhun Cang had noticed. Being in the thick of it, he could feel Mu Chen’s Combat Techniques even more clearly. He grew more and more shocked as they fought. ’This has absolutely nothing to do with talent,’ he thought. ’To forge this kind of skill requires countless battles—battles of life and death. Otherwise, it would be impossible to achieve such refinent. What kind of past does this kid have?!’
BOOM!
After another head-on collision, both were thrown back several ters, creating distance between them. However, judging from their expressions, the fight hadn’t consud too much of their Primordial Power. Mu Chen possessed the Extre Ice Attribute, allowing him to absorb Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi to replenish his energy. Moreover, his Extre Spirit Chaos Technique was constantly restoring the Primordial Power in his Dantian.
As for Di Cang, it was even less of an issue. As a Venerable, his reserves of Primordial Power were as vast as the ocean. The battle so far had barely consud a single iota of his energy.
"You’ve truly surprised . I know you still haven’t revealed your full strength. Don’t worry, co on! Attack
with everything you’ve got!" Di Cang shouted. The color of his nine yellow Martial Rings suddenly changed, becoming almost solid. Peak of the Nine-Ring Grand Martial Master Realm!
Seeing that Di Cang had raised his Martial Artist Realm to the Peak of the Nine-Ring Grand Martial Master Realm, the fire of battle in Mu Chen’s eyes blazed. He felt his blood begin to boil. "Hehe, in that case, I’ll let you see my true power! Release!"
SHING! With a sound like a longsword being unsheathed, Mu Chen’s eyes snapped open, and a beam of purple light shot out from them. Imdiately after, two strange black outlines extended from the corners of his eye sockets. A pair of eerie, purple Demon Pupils appeared before Di Cang and Zhun Cang. What a gaze it was—cold, rciless vertical slits, with six Binglan-colored snowflake Ice Crystals slowly rotating around the outside of each pupil. The mont these eyes opened, a Barbaric Aura erupted from Mu Chen’s body with a BANG.
At the sa ti, a Binglan-colored, rhombus-shaped crystal erged from between Mu Chen’s eyebrows. This series of transformations made both Di Cang and Zhun Cang tense up involuntarily. The change in Mu Chen was simply too great. Right now, he looked so devilishly charming, so cold and rciless.
"Vice-Dean, I’m attacking now!" Mu Chen’s voice was frigid, as if his personality had changed along with his body.
SWOOSH! Mu Chen moved like a phantom. He took a single step, and blue Bingling and silver Thunder intertwined around him. In an instant, his figure appeared at Di Cang’s side. As he raised his hand, a mist of ice carrying an extrely cold aura coiled around his arm. With a wave, he slapped it toward Di Cang.
BANG!
Di Cang didn’t react in ti and was almost struck by Mu Chen’s palm. But as he dodged the attack, he was shocked to find that a portion of his white hair had been frozen solid.
"Ice Attribute? And such a pure Ice Attribute?" Di Cang hastily retreated two steps, staring in horror at his frozen white hair. In his experience, the Ice Attribute was indeed highly offensive, but he was a Fire Attribute Martial Artist. Even if he wasn’t currently unleashing his Fire Attribute Primordial Power, it should be impossible for soone to freeze him so easily.
"Good! Good! Good!" Di Cang roared with laughter. He had truly found a treasure this ti, a Supre Grade one at that. "In that case!"
BOOM!
Suddenly, a mass of Black Fla erupted from Di Cang’s body. The surrounding temperature instantly skyrocketed. In a flash, Mu Chen felt as if he had been plunged into a furnace. Di Cang’s frozen hair returned to normal.
"This is my Attribute Power, Black Fla, an extrely High Level existence among Fla Attributes. By making
burn Black Fla, you have also forced my Martial Artist Realm up to the Martial Spirit Realm. Good kid! You’ve already created a miracle. But I regret to inform you that once a Martial Artist reaches the Martial Spirit Realm, the gap between realms becos like a great chasm, no longer sothing you can easily cross."
Hearing this, Mu Chen just smiled slightly. "Let’s see about that."
Di Cang smiled as well. Black Fla enveloped his arm, and with a single punch, he sent a searing, fiery wind surging toward Mu Chen. The mont Di Cang attacked, the six Binglan-colored snowflake imprints within Mu Chen’s Purple Sky Demon Pupils began to spin rapidly. To Mu Chen’s astonishnt, Di Cang’s speed suddenly slowed down countless tis over. It felt as if ti itself had stopped.
Although his Master had told him that the Purple Sky Demon Pupils had the ability to see through and predict attacks, this was the first ti Mu Chen had ever used them.
But because Mu Chen was so focused on exploring this new state, his body failed to react accordingly. Di Cang’s Black Fla Fist was already right in front of him. It was too late to dodge. Yet, just as Di Cang’s fist was about to land on Mu Chen’s chest, the Ice Elent in the air suddenly fluctuated. In an instant, a wall of ice, condensed from the Ice Elent, materialized out of thin air in front of Mu Chen.
As the ice wall appeared, a silver serpent shot out from Mu Chen’s left hand with a SWOOSH, rapidly coiling around him. This sudden developnt caused Di Cang to hesitate for a mont, and his full-force attack was reduced to eighty percent of its power.
CRACK! The ice wall in front of Mu Chen shattered, disintegrating into a shower of tiny Ice Crystal particles. Of course, a simple wall of ice couldn’t stop Di Cang, a One-Ring Martial Spirit. But after being weakened by the wall, there was hardly any of Di Cang’s Fist Power left.
THUD!
With a dull thud, Di Cang’s fist was, as expected, completely blocked by the Shattered Star Lock Chain. The Shattered Star Lock Chain’s growth was almost in sync with Mu Chen’s. Since Mu Chen could clash head-on with a Nine-Ring Grand Martial Master, the chain’s Defense Power was naturally enough to block a Nine-Ring Grand Martial Master’s attack.
