Chapter 103: Chapter 100: Ice Prison Cold Mist

But how could Little Tiger possibly hit the Greedy Wolf King at his speed? A silver shadow flashed, and a massive, sharp claw suddenly appeared behind the airborne Little Tiger. With a ferocious swat, blood sprayed from his back as the Greedy Wolf King knocked him right off the clifftop.

"No...!"

The sight caused Mu Chen’s cold eyes to tremble violently. Imdiately after, Mo Qing, Ye Shuangshuang, and Qing Lei charged forward in a rage, unleashing their strongest Combat Skills one after another. But the Greedy Wolf King’s speed and realm were simply on another level. Without exception, every one of them was sent flying by its claws and knocked unconscious.

"Don’t co over... Don’t co over! Ahhh!"

THUMP THUMP... THUMP THUMP...

Mu Chen suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head as his heart began to pound violently. At that mont, the Extre Spirit Pearl, which had been resting quietly in his mind, suddenly began to spin at an incredible speed. In his mind’s eye, the forms of the Nine Waves Technique started to unfold. The process was incredibly slow, and the illusion of the nine-colored figure gradually beca clearer.

Mu Chen had no idea what was happening. He only knew that the nine-colored figure had begun to repeatedly perform the sa Combat Skill: Ice Prison Cold Mist. This was a Combat Skill Mu Chen had always wanted to cultivate, but he’d found himself completely unable to comprehend the thod for releasing its Primordial Power. But now, the spinning of the Extre Spirit Pearl had slowed the nine-colored figure’s movents to a crawl. Incredibly, he could even observe the flow of Primordial Qi within its body from an external perspective.

Overjoyed, Mu Chen began to watch intently. What he didn’t realize was that in the Outer Realm, the Greedy Wolf King and the surrounding scenery seed to have been frozen in ti. The world had co to a standstill.

As he watched it over and over, the thod for executing Ice Prison Cold Mist beca deeply engraved in his mind. He was now certain that as long as he held the Profound Jade Fan, unleashing the skill would be effortless.

SHING! Mu Chen’s eyes snapped open, filled with a profound will to fight. With a wave of his hand, the Profound Jade Fan clanged open. The surrounding temperature instantly plumted. Only then did the Greedy Wolf King snap out of its stupor, violently shaking its head. It had no idea what had happened. ’Why does this ant, who had already exhausted all its tricks, now look like a completely different person?’

The surrounding temperature continued to drop. The ice-blue mark on Mu Chen’s forehead suddenly flashed to life as he swiftly raised the Profound Jade Fan. Ice-blue Primordial Power rapidly coated its massive surface, making the entire fan look as if it were forged from Profound Ice.

The mont Mu Chen looked up, a deep blue light flashed in his eyes. The space around him froze for an instant. By the ti it returned to normal, a dense icy mist had completely shrouded the world.

Trapped within the icy mist, the Greedy Wolf King felt the extre cold and the dense Ice Attribute Primordial Qi. It stared in terror at Mu Chen, losing all courage to attack.

Viewed from the outside, the entire valley was suddenly shrouded in mist. Elders Tie Mu and Tielin, who were just approaching, suddenly felt an extre chill emanating from the air—a cold that made them feel as if they had entered a ten-thousand-year-old ice cellar.

Staring in horror at the changes within the valley, Tielin and Tie Mu exchanged a look. They simultaneously erupted with Primordial Power and shot toward the area at their top speed...

Mu Chen looked at the terrified Greedy Wolf King and smiled. "I really have to thank you. You’re the most intelligent Magical Beast I’ve ever t—smarter, even, than a Half-Venerable Beast I once saw. But you shouldn’t have underestimated a human. This is the first ti I have ever perford this Combat Skill. You should feel honored."

As he spoke, Mu Chen’s body vanished into the icy mist. A howl echoed as the mist began to churn violently. Countless tiny liquid particles appeared within it, materializing into massive Profound Ice Spikes amidst the constant fluctuations of Primordial Power.

HISSSSSS...

In an instant, the spikes began to multiply like dividing cells—one beca two, two beca four, and four beca eight. More spikes grew out from each existing one. In less than three seconds, the entire valley was covered in Profound Ice Spikes of all sizes, forming a veritable Ice Blade Valley. Only four spots remained untouched: the locations where Qing Lei, Mo Qing, Ye Shuangshuang, and Little Tiger lay. It was as if the icy mist had a will of its own and had deliberately avoided them.

After the icy mist solidified into Profound Ice Spikes, the surroundings beca clear again. It was a world of blue, a mirror-like realm reflecting the fantastical scenery. In its center, a giant Greedy Wolf was impaled by innurable Profound Ice Spikes, its blood trickling down their lengths. On the other side of this world, its creator had fainted from over-exerting his Primordial Power.

Goosebumps erupted all over Tie Mu’s skin. Below him was a sight that anyone with trypophobia couldn’t even begin to imagine. If a cluster of ice spikes could be likened to a sea urchin, then the scene below was like hundreds of millions of them packed tightly together. Imagine for a mont, staring at a world of spikes ford by a sea of countless urchins. What kind of visual impact would that be?

Elder Tielin suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. He turned to Tie Mu and said with a wry smile, "Can you believe it? That King Beast... is dead."

Elder Tie Mu turned his head chanically and said, devoid of all emotion, "I wish I didn’t have to believe it."

Silence fell once more. On the horizon, more than twenty black-robed elders flew in from all directions. When they saw the scene before them, they almost lost control of their Primordial Power, their ridians threatening to fall into chaos.

"Elder Tie Mu! Elder Tielin!" The twenty-odd black-robed elders arrived, their faces pale as they bowed to the two.

Tie Mu waved his hand. "Everything is fine here. Return to your sectors at once. There might be students who need help. Also, not a word of this gets out."

"Yes, sir!" the twenty black-robed elders responded in unison. They turned and flew back toward their respective sectors, not a single one daring to look back.

Tie Mu took another long look at the giant Greedy Wolf impaled by countless Profound Ice Thorns below. With a flash of his ring, a pale green crystal flew out of the beast’s head, shooting into his hand and disappearing.

"Xiaolin, let’s go down and take a look."

Tielin rolled his eyes. When it was just the two of them, he usually couldn’t be bothered to argue with Tie Mu. The Profound Ice Spikes below were as hard as steel. Tie Mu released the spike he had been gripping, revealing a small cut on his finger, though it healed almost instantly.

Frowning, Tie Mu scanned the area and was surprised to find five circular clearings, each about three ters in diater, within the world of ice. Moving closer, he imdiately spotted the unconscious forms of Mo Qing, Ye Shuangshuang, Qing Lei, and Mu Chen. Little Tiger lay in the farthest clearing, halfway up the valley wall.

Tie Mu glanced at Tielin. Tielin nodded, then flashed over to Little Tiger. He used his Primordial Power to levitate the boy’s body. anwhile, Tie Mu gathered the other four by himself and flew swiftly toward the entrance of the Demon Beast Prison.

The shock in their hearts had yet to fade. Judging by where everyone had fallen, Mu Chen and the giant Greedy Wolf had been on opposite sides. If that was the case, then the creator of this Profound Ice World had to be Mu Chen. ’But how could a re Martial Master unleash such a terrifying Combat Skill?’ This question was now deeply rooted in their minds, an answer they hoped to find when they saw Di Cang.

Back at the starting camp, Lingyun was staring anxiously into the distance. Her tense heart only relaxed slightly when seven dark figures appeared in the sky.

THUD... THUD.

With two soft thuds, Tie Mu and Tielin landed lightly on the ground. A series of thumps followed as Little Tiger, Qing Lei, Mo Qing, Ye Shuangshuang, and Mu Chen were laid out. Tie Mu rubbed his arm and shot Mu Chen a strange look, grumbling, "What the hell is this kid carrying on his back? It’s ridiculously heavy."

Tielin paused, a look of contempt on his face. "What, are you getting old? Can’t even carry a little brat anymore?"

Tie Mu’s face darkened. "Get lost! You try it!" he cursed.

"Fine, I will!" Tielin huffed, his eyes wide. He unleashed his Primordial Power and quickly lifted Mu Chen’s body. The mont he did, however, he knew sothing was wrong. ’What’s with this kid? He’s unbelievably heavy!’

Seeing Tielin’s furrowed brow, Tie Mu sneered. "Heh heh. See? I wasn’t lying, was I? That black box on his back is definitely weighted. It’s absurdly heavy!"

Lingyun ca over, paying no mind to their bickering. She was focused on the students’ injuries. Little Tiger’s chest was slightly caved in, and three pale, ragged gashes were visible through his torn clothes. Judging by his breathing, however, his condition seed stable.

As for Mo Qing, Qing Lei, and Ye Shuangshuang, they had only suffered minor cuts and scrapes. Mu Chen, however, was a different story. His body was covered in a dense web of claw marks. Strangely, all these wounds had already healed. Aside from the bloodstains and his tattered clothes, he showed no signs of serious injury, yet his face was exceptionally pale.

Lingyun frowned and placed her palm on Mu Chen’s chest. A thread of her Primordial Power slowly entered his body to investigate. Just then, the dormant Extre Spirit Pearl gave a slight turn, and a layer of milky-white haze enveloped both it and the White Dragon Cauldron. After circulating once through Mu Chen’s body, her probing Primordial Power returned to her, having found nothing.

Tie Mu smiled. "Xiaoyun, I know what you’re worried about, but rest assured. I checked him earlier. There’s nothing physically wrong with the boy. He just overused his Primordial Power and is suffering from exhaustion. He’ll probably be good as new after a couple days of rest."

Hearing Elder Tie Mu speak, Lingyun finally let out a breath, her heart settling. She could be less concerned about the other students, but absolutely nothing could happen to Mu Chen. Only she knew just how highly Di Cang regarded him. At the sa ti, however, a question surfaced in her mind.

"Elder Tie Mu, what about the King Beast?" Lingyun asked with a serious frown. ’For soone at the Martial Master Realm like Mu Chen, encountering a King Beast should have ant instant death. How could he possibly have survived for so long?’

At her question, Tielin and Tie Mu exchanged a look, and Tie Mu finally sighed. "Xiaoyun, I have no idea where Old Cang found this disciple of his... but that kid... he’s a monster. A monster to the point that he actually managed to slay that King Beast."
