Shen Zhiyi was unhappily eating a tasteless vegetable salad when the rumors about her and Huo Heng broke out. She was far less concerned about the issue than she was about what she would have for lunch.

Wang Feifei held a tablet and asked indignantly, "Miss, did you hear what I said?"

"I did," Shen Zhiyi looked up, her face was bright and gentle, her eyes slightly round, her nose perky, and her deanor always had a touch of naivety and softness. She looked like soone who had been pampered at ho, but she didn’t have the temperant of a spoiled lady, and she persuaded in a good-natured voice, "He probably wants to stir up so hype. You should let the attention departnt handle it."

"Look at this picture; it looks like you two are kissing. You make it sound so simple, but clarifying this is not so easy."

"It just looks like it," Shen Zhiyi dismissed, "We’re not actually kissing."

"Sister Feifei," she asked gently, "Can I stop eating the salad? It’s so awful."

"No," Wang Feifei responded without a second thought, "You gained quite a few pounds after your last variety show appearance; you need to lose that weight quickly."

In fact, Shen Zhiyi wasn’t fat at all, but Wang Feifei, used to managing other artists with the sa high standards, treated her no differently.

Shen Zhiyi sighed deeply.

"By the way," Wang Feifei casually asked, "why did you move back to Huating?"

"My mom made ," Shen Zhiyi propped her chin up, "It’s just for a few days. I’ll move out after I’ve fooled my mom."

Huating was too spacious and far away for her liking; Shen Zhiyi didn’t really enjoy living there.

"That’s your husband’s house, isn’t it?"

Three years ago, just after she graduated from university, Shen Zhiyi had married, which startled Wang Feifei. However, she only said it was an arranged marriage by the families and revealed nothing else, so Wang Feifei knew nothing about her so-called husband.

"Mhm," Shen Zhiyi responded absentmindedly, "He seems to be coming back to the country soon."

Whenever she brought up her own husband, Shen Zhiyi talked about him as if he was a stranger. In truth, she was barely acquainted with him, even though they could loosely be called childhood sweethearts.

His personality was too cold, he wasn’t talkative, and when Shen Zhiyi was young and naive, she used to call him ’brother.’ As she got older, she didn’t like following him around and preferred people with a warr temperant.

Then, after moving hos and studying abroad, they had even less opportunity to et. So, when her family proposed marriage to him, she was so shocked that she had nightmares for days, dreaming she was sleeping with a block of ice and shivering from the cold.

Fortunately, he didn’t seem to care much about the marriage, either. He went abroad to expand his business empire just three days after the wedding. His family was complicated and he was extrely busy; in three years, they barely saw each other.

They did have phone contact sotis, but Shen Zhiyi found it awkward and would often make excuses that she was busy to avoid taking his calls.

"You’ve been married for three years now, haven’t you? If you don’t really like it, why not try to get a divorce?" Wang Feifei said bluntly, seeing that Shen Zhiyi seed reluctant.

She still believed that marriage should be based on feelings.

Shen Zhiyi humd, "My parents really like him, and he’s helped my family’s business a lot. My family definitely wouldn’t agree to a divorce."

"Why not persuade him?" Wang Feifei suggested, "It seems neither of you like each other. If you convince him and then shift the responsibility to him, what can your family say?"

Shen Zhiyi seriously pondered her suggestion, "Then I’ll talk to him about it."

She had never considered divorce in these three years because they barely saw each other and her life hadn’t changed from before. But now that he was returning to the country, it would inevitably lead to awkward and uncomfortable interactions. Shen Zhiyi liked to enjoy life and only wanted to associate with people who made her feel comfortable.

In the afternoon, the scandalous search about her and Huo Heng was taken down, but there were still many people discussing it. There were even fans shipping Shen Zhiyi and Huo Heng as a couple.

The studio issued a denial, and Shen Zhiyi didn’t make a public response; she was busy filming, and by the ti she wrapped up, it was late at night. A call from Qin Xiaoran summoned her to the bar.

She wore a hat and mask, looking around, "Why didn’t you choose a private room? If we get photographed, Sister Feifei will have sothing to say about again."

Qin Xiaoran pushed a glass of alcohol towards her, "Relax, people here aren’t that nosy. Plus, you’re just having a drink, not hooking up with anyone. What’s it matter if you get photographed?"

She spoke in a brash manner, leaving Shen Zhiyi montarily stunned, "You’ve beco so bold in your speech."

Qin Xiaoran found it hilarious and laughed heartily.

The two had known each other since childhood. Although there was an age difference, they were close friends. Qin Xiaoran had just returned from studying abroad and had been pestering Shen Zhiyi to et up over the last few days.

"Seriously though," Qin Xiaoran was slightly tipsy and spoke without any reservations, "With so many handso guys here, don’t you want to consider one?"

"I’ve seen more than my fair share of handso n," Shen Zhiyi was in the entertainnt industry, after all. She had seen all types of handso n and found none to her liking.

After a while, she even felt they all looked similarly.

"You’re so picky," Qin Xiaoran pointed to soone in the distance, "That guy over there looks good, totally has that elite vibe. You don’t have that type around you, do you?"

Taking small sips of her drink, Shen Zhiyi glanced in the indicated direction and gave an objective assessnt, "Not bad."

"Then go for it," Qin Xiaoran said with a suggestive smile, "Have a spring fling."

"..." Shen Zhiyi figured her friend must be drunk, "I’m married, rember?"

Even if it was a loveless marriage, it was still a marriage.

"...I forgot," Qin Xiaoran fell silent, sobering up, "Just don’t let anyone know what I said."

She was terrified of that person.

"I have no one to tell," Shen Zhiyi chuckled. After sitting at the bar for a while and finding it rather noisy, she looked upstairs, considering getting a private room instead.

As she pondered, she caught a glimpse of a figure at the corner of the stairwell and paused briefly.

The bar lighting was dim, and the person stood atop the three-ter-high staircase, tilting his head as he talked to soone. Only a vague profile was visible; the colorful neon lights swept over, illuminating his shoulder, neck, and part of his jaw. His skin was very pale, a cool shade of white, and the profile of his face was particularly handso.

Shen Zhiyi’s gaze locked onto him, sizing him up in the not-so-bright light. Although his face wasn’t clear, his figure was unmistakable: broad shoulders, narrow waist, and his legs, encased in suit pants, were astonishingly long. His posture was slightly casual.

A superior physique.

She couldn’t help but lick her lips and took another sip of alcohol, feeling that she had seen such an exceptional physique sowhere before.

Qin Xiaoran noticed her unusual expression, "What are you looking at?"

"I found soone who ets my aesthetic," Shen Zhiyi gestured for her to look, "If I weren’t married, I’d seriously consider asking for his contact details."

Qin Xiaoran looked up and saw soone taking a picture, a flash of light briefly illuminating the dim stairwell, and in that instant the person’s profile was lit up. She had seen that profile not too long ago, it looked extrely familiar, and she recognized it imdiately.

Her tone beca very strange, and her expression was indescribable, "Zhiyi, you can’t even recognize your own husband?"
