Curiously, she looked up, “We’re not close, so why do you want to help ?”
“I feel sorry for you, being used by Huo Heng for so long and not getting any real benefits out of it.”
Song Ran blinked and whispered, “I know you were Xu Xia’s shield.”
Her fingertips paused montarily, and Shen Zhiyi tapped out the last line, “You know?”
“I saw Huo Heng privately eting Xu Xia before I left the group. The two of them were in the sa room until the wee hours, just the two of them— isn’t it obvious?”
Shrugging her shoulders, Song Ran added, “And then your romance with Huo Heng was exposed.”
It was clear who she was taking the bullet for.
She saw that Shen Zhiyi seed to have written sothing, so she opened her cell phone again to check her social dia account, and sure enough, Shen Zhiyi had responded to those trending searches.
First, she didn’t ignore the issue of terminating the contract with the company like the netizens did; she directly posted a photo of the termination contract with a detailed explanation of the company’s breach of contract.
Second, regarding everyone’s speculation that she gained resources through Huo Heng and joined the sa drama cast, Shen Zhiyi directly asked Huo Heng to explain.

Xun Zhouxing was a comrcial film director and a third-generation wealthy businessman, with a well-known business empire to his na. He’d been pestering Shen Zhiyi for years with promises of fa and fortune, but to no avail; Shen Zhiyi was thoroughly annoyed with him.
The two of them stood talking at the door, and as Shen Zhiyi turned to leave, she was grabbed by Xun Zhouxing who seed to want to say more. However, a commotion arose from the tea room, all the business elites who had been joking and exchanging pleasantries suddenly stood up in unison and strode toward the door to welco soone.
Beyond several short screens and the crowd, the figure at the door was barely discernible, dressed in an elegant pure black handmade suit with delicate bamboo embroidery on the chest. He slightly raised his eyes, a hint of a smile on his lips, almost there yet not quite.
