"Brother Lin, he’s so pitiful!" Tao Tao looked at Lin Feng, feeling sowhat distressed. Watching Lin Feng and Ma Biaohu drinking like that just now made her heart ache. Although she didn’t know about Lin Feng’s past life, the present Ma Biaohu truly seed too miserable. Just thinking about it felt pitiful; he had been beaten for more than a decade—anyone else would have gone mad!
"Boss, he’s really quite pitiful. Even among us Demon Beasts, there’s nothing this tragic..." Tangyuan, perched on Lin Feng’s shoulder, said with exasperation. It thought Ma Biaohu’s re survival was a miracle. If it were in Ma Biaohu’s position, it would’ve probably found a way to end itself long ago!
"Yeah, it’s not easy at all." Lin Feng sincerely empathized with Ma Biaohu’s plight. Brought to this world inexplicably and living such a life, compared to Ma Biaohu, Lin Feng felt he was much luckier. At least he wasn’t living such a tragic life.
"Brother Lin, I think you should take Ma Biaohu with you in the future. At least he’s from your hotown, so there shouldn’t be any issues." Tao Tao thought for a mont and added. She felt that if Ma Biaohu continued living like this, he might really go crazy.
"Hmm, once he wakes up." Lin Feng nodded, agreeing with the suggestion. With Ma Biaohu, they could have a guide to the Despair Plains. Although Guan Yu wasn’t with him, Lin Feng knew his whereabouts and could find him later. Having Ma Biaohu by his side wasn’t a bad idea either. In the Myriad Heavens Divine Realm, encountering soone from his hotown was rare, so it made sense to help him.
Seeing the ti, Lin Feng asked Tao Tao to rest in another room while he sat on the bed to cultivate, waiting for Ma Biaohu to wake up.

"Join you guys? Where are you going?" Ma Biaohu, hearing this from Lin Feng, beca curious. If it wasn’t particularly dangerous, following them didn’t matter. After all, he’d had enough of Pingcheng.

"The wonders of my boss are unfathomable by others!" Tangyuan, standing on Lin Feng’s shoulder, added with a smile.
Its sudden interjection left Ma Biaohu stunned, staring at Lin Feng’s empty shoulder, almost popping his eyes open wide. Not only was it invisible, but his Divine Sense couldn’t detect it either. What on earth?
While he puzzled over this, Tangyuan slowly materialized, leaving Ma Biaohu even more shocked. He hadn’t expected Lin Feng to have such a unique Demon Beast companion. If it hadn’t revealed itself, he would’ve never noticed.
"Are we heading out now?" Watching Lin Feng and Tangyuan, Ma Biaohu felt a sudden thrill. He sensed that Lin Feng wasn’t an ordinary cultivator, making this Despair Plains journey bound to be extraordinary!
"No, we need to make so preparations first." Lin Feng shook his head and added, "You’ve been in Pingcheng for a while. Do you know a place suitable for Alchemy? I need a spot like that to concoct elixirs, so we avoid issues once we’re in Despair Plains."
"There are plenty of places for that, it’s not a problem!" Upon hearing Lin Feng’s needs, Ma Biaohu casually answered. But just after replying, he realized one thing—Lin Feng ntioned alchemy. Staring at Lin Feng with eyes as big as dragon’s eyes, he asked in disbelief, "You... you’re an Alchemist?"
"Obviously! If my boss weren’t an Alchemist, why would he need such a place?" Tangyuan scoffed at Ma Biaohu. "Quickly, help us find such a place. The sooner we prepare, the sooner we can enter Despair Plains."
"Alright, follow !"
Upon hearing this, Ma Biaohu imdiately agreed and turned to leave the room. After gathering Tao Tao, the three of them and the beast departed from the inn. Led by Ma Biaohu, they reached the foot of a mountain on Pingcheng’s western side after about two hours’ journey.
"Up ahead is the dicine Spirit Sect’s territory. Do you see those courtyards over there? Those are all for rent—each has its own Alchemy Room connected to the underground fire vein. Many alchemists rent places here." Ma Biaohu pointed at a row of villa-like houses in the distance, explaining how ideal this place was for Alchemy.
Lin Feng and Tao Tao looked over and were quite satisfied with the secluded setup. For Lin Feng’s plans involving chanism puppets or elixirs, this would be helpful, so they nodded in agreent.
They approached, found soone from the dicine Spirit Sect, paid the rent, and formally moved in.
Upon entering the courtyard, they saw it was actually quite small, with only three rooms in a courtyard layout. The Alchemy Room was the only feature, generally used for night Alchemy, resulting in a quiet dayti environnt.
Originally thinking to go directly to the Alchemy Room, Lin Feng rembered about Tao Tao and the others. After a bit of consideration, he took out pen and paper and began to write.
To their surprise, Lin Feng quickly filled a page with materials, causing Ma Biaohu to feel overwheld by the dense writing. However, Tao Tao stood by silently smiling, having guessed Lin Feng’s intentions.
And true to her expectations, Lin Feng, after writing the note, turned to Tao Tao and Ma Biaohu, saying, "When you two have free ti during the day, go around and help gather the items on this list. There’s no rush, take your ti."
Handing the list to Tao Tao, Ma Biaohu chid in, "No problem, I’m familiar with Pingcheng!"
At that mont, Tangyuan jumped from Lin Feng’s shoulder to Tao Tao’s and said, "Boss, I won’t disturb you during your seclusion. I’ll go hang out with Tao Tao and have fun!"
Seeing this, Lin Feng nodded, suddenly thinking of a question, he turned to Ma Biaohu, saying, "When you take Tao Tao to handle this, be careful and don’t do anything reckless. You shouldn’t disturb during my seclusion. If I need anything, I’ll co out to inform you."
"Rest assured, I know what to do," Ma Biaohu responded, feeling slightly exasperated. In the past, he acted recklessly to get beaten, but taking Tao Tao out recklessly would be truly life-threatening. He could survive; it didn’t matter, but Tao Tao was different. And the incomplete giant puppet couldn’t be unfolded in this basent. After so thought, he decided to work on it in the Cave Heaven Mansion. Surveying his surroundings, he laid nurous formations to completely isolate the Alchemy Room. After this, he turned and entered the Cave Heaven Mansion.
Yet, he hadn’t expected that upon entering the Cave Heaven Mansion, he would witness unimaginable changes; the forr Wendao Pavilion was gone, replaced by a highly futuristic architectural space!
Moreover, he saw in the distance that two Great Demon Venerables were working with Ding Wan’er and the group on sothing, even steady Zhu Tao was involved...
