Chapter 408: Chapter 408: Where’s Uncle Li?

"Senior Sister, did you have any protection asures on your computer when you did these things?" Lin Feng thought for a mont, and still felt it was necessary to ask if Senior Sister had any protective asures. Otherwise, if a master could track her back here, Senior Sister would be in danger.

"I set up so protective stuff myself, all stored online from before." Hearing her junior brother’s words, Chu ng knew he was concerned about her safety, so she explained her computer’s security situation to Lin Feng just to ease his worries.

"Let

have a look." Having said that, Lin Feng sat next to Chu ng’s computer and began to check all the software with swift hands.

"This software isn’t good enough, I’ll make you a new one." Lin Feng had just finished inspecting the protection software on the computer. Although it was pretty decent, it still couldn’t compare with his own creations. With that thought, Lin Feng decisively installed a complete network protection platform on Chu ng’s computer, completely ruling out the possibility of her being tracked.

It took only a few minutes to finish the installation on Chu ng’s computer.

"Senior Sister, just leave the machine on, it will find its own ’zombies.’ The more zombies it has, the safer it is. And these ten red lights on the screen are indicators. If five of them go out, disconnect and leave the network. No one will be able to track you here, understand?" Lin Feng finally explained the specific usage of the computer to his senior sister. With his system, she wouldn’t have to worry about being exposed any longer.

"Understood." Chu ng looked at Lin Feng, at a loss for what to say, because the protection system she had used before was bought from a top hacker at a hefty price and had always been stored online. But her costly protection system seed inadequate in her junior brother’s eyes. Then Lin Feng showed her what a real hacker was capable of, working so swiftly that she couldn’t even keep track of what was happening on the screen. In the blink of an eye, he told her that everything was taken care of!

Moreover, when they were in Africa, she had guessed that her junior brother had hacking skills, but she’d never imagined he would be this proficient. Chu ng also had so computer knowledge, but everything her junior brother did didn’t even involve the systems available; he manually typed everything. She couldn’t understand a single line on the screen, and soon the movents were too fast for her eyes.

Junior brother is too... Chu ng searched her vocabulary but couldn’t find an adjective. No word seed adequate enough to describe Lin Feng’s skill; every adjective felt like an understatent.

"Junior Brother, where did you learn your skills?" Chu ng couldn’t hold back any longer and asked the question she’d been wanting to. Because this wasn’t sothing their master would know, so how did Lin Feng learn it?

"Just read a few books and looked up so stuff online. It’s simple," Lin Feng replied nonchalantly to his senior sister’s question. He learned these things by reading books; there was nothing special about it.

"You..." Hearing Lin Feng’s response, Chu ng was rendered speechless, completely and utterly at a loss for words. In Africa, he said he could fly a plane and then told everyone he learned by playing video gas. Now he said he learned hacking skills by reading books—he’s just too...

Chu ng looked at Lin Feng, no longer able to express herself with words, because her junior brother was truly beyond anyone’s understanding.

"Senior Sister, how many undercover agents do you have?"

"A total of twelve, but so far, only six have been contacted."

"What kind of people are they?"

"Absolutely trustworthy in terms of character."

"What can they do for us?"

"There’s a lot they can do, like going undercover."

...

Lin Feng knew Chu ng was amazed by his hacking skills. After setting up the computer, he deliberately shifted the topic of their conversation. This way, the focus wouldn’t be on him anymore, and the two of them began to discuss the issue of Chu ng’s undercover agents, planning to gauge their usefulness and prepare for other possible operations.

...

Far across the ocean in M Country, Max Dorrell was fuming with rage. A project he had been working on for a long ti was suddenly disrupted by an external force, causing the target’s stock price to skyrocket, only to withdraw abruptly. As a result, Max Dorrell ended up spending over a billion more US Dollars on this acquisition, a truly infuriating developnt.

What puzzled Max Dorrell was that very few people knew about his plans, and none of them were likely to leak information. So who was that mysterious force and why would soone deliberately cause him trouble?

A company with unremarkable performance wouldn’t attract anyone’s attention if nothing unexpected happened. However, when Max Dorrell was boiling frogs in warm water, a strong external force suddenly erged and disrupted his entire acquisition plan. By then, it was too late to stop, and he could only curse his bad luck at having encountered soone who specialized in causing trouble.

No, how could he swallow this insult? Ever since Chu ng had fled back to China, Max Dorrell felt that he hadn’t had a mont’s peace. Now he really regretted not having killed Chu ng earlier, as her existence had been bringing him nothing but bad luck!

Chu ng? Chu ng!

Could this incident have been Chu ng’s doing? Max Dorrell was startled by the thought that suddenly sprang to mind, imdiately realizing that it was indeed possible that Chu ng was behind it.

"Jack, you must find out who was behind this morning’s incident, no matter the cost. I need to know," Max Dorrell ordered as he dialed Jack’s number, his face cold and stern. He was determined to clarify this matter, and if it really was Chu ng again, he would pay any price to have her killed, lest she continue to ruin his peace.

"Yes, Boss, I’ll start looking into it right away," Jack replied after hearing Max Dorrell’s command, promptly agreeing to take care of it.

"Also, Jack, how’s the investigation into Chu ng’s case going?" Max Dorrell suddenly recalled instructing Jack to investigate Chu ng. Several days had passed without a word from him, and he had no idea of her whereabouts. If he did find out, he could directly inform the Boss to send a master to eliminate Chu ng once and for all.

"Boss, I’ve tried every ans but still haven’t found any information on Chu ng. It’s really strange; after she got to the airport, all her information simply vanished. Currently, we have absolutely no leads, and Chu ng hasn’t been spotted anywhere in Tianhai. It’s very odd. If I’m not mistaken, she must be hiding sowhere, completely off the grid. I’m still checking, but it will take ti," Jack precisely reported everything he had found to Max Dorrell, although without solid leads, he didn’t sound very confident when the Boss questioned him. However, under these circumstances, there wasn’t much else Jack could do but continue the search.

"I understand. Rush the investigation for this morning’s incident," Max Dorrell said before hanging up the phone. His mind was filled with doubts—Jack’s skill at inquiry was well-known, and it was unthinkable that he hadn’t found Chu ng. Was there soone important aiding Chu ng, helping her erase her tracks and hiding her away?

...

After returning to the hotel, Li Zerui sat on the bed to rest, channeling his cultivation power to slowly heal his damaged internal organs. When he woke up, it had already dawned.

Dawn already? Where’s Uncle Li?

After searching the entire hotel room and finding no sign of Uncle Li, Li Zerui was filled with a sense of strangeness. Where was Uncle Li? He couldn’t have failed to return! Could Uncle Li still be at the place they were at last night?

Yes, it was possible, very possible. Uncle Li would never disappear without a word!

With that thought, Li Zerui left the hotel, hailed a taxi, and headed towards the location of last night’s incident. However, upon arriving, he saw nothing. With no other options, he had the driver continue to the next small village to inquire about any unusual events. Given the trendous disturbances Uncle Li could cause, the villagers nearby should have been aware of sothing.

Right at the entrance of the village, he noticed several elders discussing sothing. Li Zerui approached, eager to find out if any of the events were related to Uncle Li. Upon getting closer, he overheard their conversation and imdiately knew where Uncle Li was.

The elders were talking about strange, thunderous noises from a valley the previous night. They speculated about what could have happened, as no one had ever ventured into the valley—its surrounding trees were too dense for anyone to get close. Thus, such a noise in the dead of night was extrely peculiar.

But to Li Zerui, this was a cause for joy, as it surely ant that Uncle Li was responsible. He had witnessed Uncle Li split a building in two with a casual gesture; creating the kind of noise the elders described would be even easier.

"Excuse , gentlen, could you tell

where this valley you ntioned is?" Li Zerui asked the elders, anxious about Uncle Li’s whereabouts. To facilitate a smooth response, he respectfully addressed them as gentlen.

"It’s at the foot of that mountain. Young man, no one here goes there. It’s very strange—what could have caused such a noise last night?" One of the elders, finding Li Zerui’s appearance trustworthy, stood up and pointed out the valley to him, still curious about the previous night’s events.

"Thank you," Li Zerui said, having learned what he needed to know. He briefly expressed his gratitude and then returned to the car, heading in the direction indicated by the elder.

When Li Zerui arrived at the foot of the mountain, he got out of the car and entered the forest. As he sped through the woods using his cultivation power, animals scattered in all directions at the sight of him.
