Chapter 361: Chapter 361: Who is Lin Feng?
Under the influence of alcohol, Leng i felt very helpless, yet having just told him not to leave, why did he still have to go? Didn’t he understand what she ant? She couldn’t possibly make it any clearer. How could Lin Feng be so dense, so completely blind to her feelings for him?
Now that the alcohol had gone to her head, Leng i felt that she could close her eyes and pass out at any mont. She felt light as air and just wanted to find a place to sleep.
No, no! Leng i vigorously shook her head, trying to fend off the drunkenness clouding her brain. Today, no matter what, she had to let Lin Feng know her feelings. She had to tell him clearly how much she wanted to be his girlfriend because she could no longer endure this tornt. If she delayed any longer, she was afraid she might lose even the chance to confess. If she really missed out on Lin Feng, how would she get through the days to co? She didn’t like a life without soone to love, she really didn’t!
With these thoughts and bolstered by the alcohol, Leng i rushed to the window and shouted to Lin Feng, who had just started his car.
"Lin Feng, I like you, I really like you a lot. From the first ti I saw you, I was attracted to you without even realizing it. I really want to be your girlfriend, even if I have nothing, I still want to be with you because I truly love you. Life without you is agony for , a pain so unbearable. So I really love you and no matter what, I want to be with you! I am willing to do anything just to be with you!"
After pouring out her heart, Leng i quickly withdrew her head and hid under the window, as if she were terrified of Lin Feng seeing her. It felt like there were rabbits thumping wildly in her chest. She didn’t understand where she had found the courage to say so much, but after speaking her mind, Leng i felt much more at ease. She no longer had to struggle with herself. The heavy burden on her heart seed to have disappeared. So this is what confessing felt like... the relief of declaring love for soone...
"I wonder what Lin Feng’s expression was when he heard what I said?" Leng i mumbled to herself in a daze. Even though she had expressed her feelings, she didn’t have the courage to ask what Lin Feng thought. Her mind raced with wild thoughts as her consciousness grew more and more blurred, and eventually, she fell asleep on the floor beneath the window.
Leng i’s sudden confession had taken Lin Feng by surprise. He had always had a vague feeling that she liked him, but he never expected that soone with Leng i’s personality would reveal such a side of herself; it truly shocked and surprised him.
Especially just now, Lin Feng couldn’t help but give a wry smile of helplessness. Coupled with what had happened that evening, Lin Feng was montarily lost in thought, frozen in place.
When he snapped back to reality, Lin Feng was surprised to discover that in his montary distraction he had actually scraped his car. He stopped the vehicle and leaned out the window. By the light of the moon, he saw that Leng i’s window was open, but she was no longer in sight.
Lin Feng knew that both Leng i and Ding Wan’er held affections for him, but it was the first ti he had heard such words from Leng i’s mouth. He never expected that Leng i, after having drunk so much, would say such things. However, after her shout that night, it was certain that the whole neighborhood would know about it by morning, if not sooner.
But it didn’t matter. After all, this matter had to be addressed sooner or later. Everything should be left up to fate. He just hadn’t expected Leng i to give him such a huge surprise that evening; he still found it hard to believe that those words were really spoken by her. Looking at the window of the i Family’s villa, Lin Feng smiled wistfully once more.
But now, Lin Feng felt it was better to leave. Thinking this, he restarted his car and vanished into the night.
...
The next morning, when Leng i woke up, the first thing she felt was a headache. It was so painful that she furrowed her brows and reluctantly opened her eyes, only to realize she was on the ground. She found it strange – wasn’t she drinking? How did she get ho? But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t rember, and her headache only worsened. Having no other choice, she forced herself to stand up, went to the bathroom, turned on the water heater, and took a shower to relieve the pain in her head.
An hour later, Leng i finally finished her shower, put on her bathrobe, and walked out. She felt much more alert, but her head still ached, albeit much less so. She casually pulled the quilt that had fallen to the ground last night back up onto the bed and then sat down to seriously try to recall what had exactly happened the previous evening. She had been drinking alone and, as the night progressed, seed to have gotten a bit drunk. Beyond that, she really couldn’t rember anything clearly. Wait, it seed as if Lin Feng had brought her back ho—at least she vaguely rembered his voice in her muddled state.
Reflecting on the people present last night, Leng i realized that only Lin Feng had been to her ho. Therefore, it was quite normal for Lin Feng to have brought her back. However, the question that troubled her the most was why she had slept under the window instead of on the bed, if she was indeed drunk. The more she thought about it, the more she got a headache—she just couldn’t rember what had happened last night.
The other details were trivial; what Leng i needed to know was how she had gotten ho. And, given her embarrassing drunkenness last night, how would Lin Feng see her now? Worried about the potential decline of her image in Lin Feng’s mind, she felt increasingly anxious.
However, before Leng i could ponder this for long, her body was sore and weak, and the pain in her head forbade her from dwelling on these matters. With no other choice, she snuggled back into bed, covering herself tightly with the quilt and soon fell asleep again.
...
When Leng i woke up again, she glanced at the digital clock beside her bed—it was already ten in the morning. She tried to get up, but her body felt so weak that she realized she must have caught a cold last night. Suddenly, Leng i felt quite miserable living alone. When she was sick, she had no one but herself to rely on, not even soone to buy dicine for her. How had she managed without such support before? Life seed too desolate, lacking the warmth of a family.
Shaking off these distracting thoughts, Leng i mustered the strength to get up, planning to change her clothes and buy so dicine for herself. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to do anything in her sick state. After hardly managing to change and freshen up, she opened the villa’s front door, refreshed by the cooling sensation of washing up.
Seeing the bright sun outside, Leng i felt much better. She slowly started to stroll along the neighborhood streets, heading towards the pharmacy, which was not far from her community. But as she walked, she sensed sothing uncomfortable—people around the community seed to be staring at her, making her quite perplexed. What was the matter? Why were they all looking her way?
"Leng i, congratulations!" called out a short, plump woman—she was one of the hoowners in the area, known by everyone for her friendly and warm disposition, and they all called her Sister Liu.
"Sister Liu, hello. Congratulations? What do you an?" Leng i was happy to be greeted by Sister Liu, but her congratulatory remarks imdiately confused her. What was going on? Was there sothing to be congratulated for? She had been living in the community for years, and everyone was quite familiar with each other. Could it be that Sister Liu was joking with her?
"Xiao Leng, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Everyone heard it last night. And besides, you’re of age now. It’s perfectly normal to have a boyfriend," Sister Liu said, seeing Leng i’s clueless expression and feeling a bit baffled herself. She thought that the few sentences Xiao Leng had shouted out last night were heard crystal clear by everyone, and they even saw a car driving out of her place. It must have been her boyfriend.
Xiao Leng did indeed need a boyfriend—she was already approaching thirty. Despite her beauty and cold personality, since moving into the neighborhood, she had not received guests at ho. So when they heard her finally express affection for a boy last night, everyone was happy for her.
"Sister Liu, what... what did I say last night? I ca ho drunk and don’t rember anything about last night," Leng i said, now realizing she must have said sothing for Sister Liu to make such a comnt. But she couldn’t recall anything at all. How was she to handle this? Hopefully, she hadn’t said anything inappropriate. If the neighbors had overheard, it could be quite embarrassing! Her heart began racing with panic.
"Last night, you didn’t say much, just shouted outside, saying things like Lin Feng, I like you, I really, really like you, I love you so much. That’s right, Xiao Leng, who is Lin Feng? Was that him who drove you ho last night? He never got out of the car, so no one knows what he looks like," Sister Liu finally realized that Xiao Leng had said those words because she was drunk last night. Otherwise, it would be very unlikely for her to make such declarations sober, given her usually reserved nature.
Now everyone was even more curious about this man nad Lin Feng. Xiao Leng was considered the top beauty in the neighborhood, and even though she was nearing thirty, she looked no older than soone in her early twenties. More importantly, Xiao Leng was a true talent—becoming the Dean of Yingbo University at such a young age was sothing not many could achieve. Normally, everyone wanted to help her find a boyfriend, but they couldn’t find any man who was worthy of her. So who was this Lin Feng that could captivate Xiao Leng and compel her to proclaim her feelings so boldly? He must be no ordinary man.
