Chapter 36: Chapter 36 1911

"Oh, my na is Lin Feng, and I am your junior brother. I’m calling you because there’s an issue that I can’t handle on my own. I need your help," Lin Feng said as he introduced himself. He was also at a loss for words, not knowing the old man’s na or how to introduce himself. It seed like this was the only way to say it.

A junior brother? Since when did I have a junior brother?

But this person knew his phone number and also knew his na, and suddenly...

He rembered sothing from over ten years ago, a mission where he nearly died and was saved by an old man in white.

At that ti, he was an A-level special forces soldier, yet in front of the old man, he couldn’t even touch the hem of his garnt. After just three days with the old man, Wang Anjun was astonished to discover that he had broken through to AA-level. Before this, Wang Anjun had never imagined he could reach AA-level before the age of 30, because the threshold was too high, so high that most experts spent their lives stuck at that gateway, forever regretful at A-level.

When he had healed and wanted to formally take the old man as his master, the old man reluctantly agreed to accept him as a disciple in na only. Even so, he was happy because he knew that the old man was truly a divine being among experts.

The old man did give him a bit more guidance but then disappeared after leaving him with a business card. It was those three sheets of paper from the old man that led to Wang Anjun’s achievents today—director of the National Special Action Departnt, an entirely covert division.

Although the old man had not truly taken him as a disciple, in Wang Anjun’s heart, "Once a master, forever a father."

Suddenly so many years had passed, and he had nearly forgotten until today, when a junior brother appeared out of nowhere, making him think of that ti.

"Master... what did he say?" Wang Anjun also cautiously asked, as this matter was no small issue and needed confirmation.

"He said there was a matter to attend to, to find the senior brother or sister, and then to say 1911." This approach was quite peculiar, but that was exactly how the old man had instructed Lin Feng.

"Ah. Is master doing well? By the way, where are you?" Wang Anjun finally confird and excitedly asked. The incidents of the past seed to flicker before his eyes. The old man always wore a ring which never left his finger. It was an old-looking ring, inscribed with 1911. He had asked the aning behind it before, but the old man just smiled without saying anything. Unexpectedly, he heard this "1911" again from his junior brother’s mouth, and it felt incredibly familiar.

A secret phone number, plus that incomprehensible set of numbers to anyone else, spoke volus without a need for more words.

"I’m at the Tianhai City Southern Sub-bureau’s interrogation room."

"Hm? Why are you there?"

"I’ve been wrongfully accused of instigating an act of violence for retaliation, and it was a Frenchman who accused ."

"What? For such a trivial matter, they actually detained you? Don’t worry, even if there was a fight, it’s nothing serious. With your senior brother here, you can rest assured."

"That’s not it. If I really intended to fight, it wouldn’t be this troubleso." Lin Feng told the truth. Even if he truly wanted to kill soone without leaving any evidence, no one would suspect him. On the contrary, it was these baseless accusations that could get him into trouble.

"Alright, let’s leave it at that for now, I’ll co to find you when I’m free. We can have a good chat then. I’m currently on a mission outside and can’t co back now. But I will imdiately contact soone in Tianhai City to get you out quickly." Wang Anjun was even more convinced after hearing this.

"Okay."

"Don’t turn off your phone. When I’m done with my mission, I’ll co to see my junior brother, haha. Fifteen years have passed, and I never knew I had a junior brother." Wang Anjun was overjoyed, because after so many years, he had always wanted to see his master, and now he found out he actually had a junior brother, how could he not be happy?

And the fact that the master had instructed him to reach out ant that the master still rembered him, which made him even happier.

"Sure, no problem," Lin Feng replied.

"Then I’ll hang up now and call your side imdiately, you’ll be free soon."

Lin Feng ended the call and closed his eyes to rest, as if all of this had nothing to do with him.

Wang Anjun hung up and imdiately called a brother-in-arms, a very close friend with whom he had lived and fought many years ago—Zhou Yang, the Deputy Director of the Tianhai City Public Security Bureau. Thinking back to those years, if he hadn’t suffered such severe internal injuries, he wouldn’t have transferred to a local position. An expert who had almost surpassed A-level was ruined just like that, and it had always pained him. So, for many years, he couldn’t bear to disturb Zhou Yang’s life.

"Hello, who is this?"

"I, Wang Anjun."

"What? Boss Wang. How co it’s you? I haven’t been able to find you for so many years. Like a dragon that shows its head but not its tail." Hearing that it was Wang Anjun, Zhou Yang couldn’t contain his excitent because he knew what kind of person Wang Anjun was—in that world-class elite training camp, he had been top in all subjects and had never been defeated. Moreover, he was now the director of a national secret departnt...

But none of that mattered, and most importantly, he was his own good friend, his own good brother. Recollecting those days of blood and fire they spent together, his blood still boiled, and he felt proud to have had such an experience in life. Back then, Zhou Yang was the only person who could call Wang Anjun ’Boss Wang’ under the envious gazes of others, a source of trendous pride. In the blink of an eye, so many years had passed, yet the mories were still as vivid as ever.

"Let’s not talk about other things, I need your help with sothing."

"Uhm, you need my help?" Zhou Yang wondered oddly. If you can’t handle it, what can I do? What’s your position and what’s mine? If it ca down to ability, compared to Boss Wang, I was simply a good-for-nothing.

"I’m outside and can’t return. A disciple of mine is now in your Chengnan branch bureau, wrongfully accused. Soone called

for help. I had no choice but to think of you first." Wang Anjun didn’t beat around the bush when speaking directly.

"Ah... Boss Wang, you have a disciple?" Zhou Yang was shocked. Wang Anjun was already so formidable, and he still had a disciple? What kind of person was his disciple?

"Heh... Moreover, this person is a formal disciple of my master; I am just a nominal one," said Wang Anjun with a wry smile.

"Ah... oh! Just a nominal disciple, and Boss Wang is just a nominal disciple? You’ve got to be joking." Upon hearing this, Zhou Yang’s heart boiled with shock. In his eyes, Wang Anjun’s martial abilities were already divine. Yet to think he was rely a nominal disciple of his master—how could ordinary people even compare?

The most important thing was that he had another disciple, and that disciple was a formal one.

"You’d better hurry over there and handle it quickly. Otherwise, I’m afraid trouble will ensue, and it will be difficult to manage later." Honestly, Wang Anjun wasn’t too worried about Lin Feng’s situation. If one could beco a formal disciple of the master, in any respect, he had enough skill to settle everything. But what he worried about was this unseen disciple’s temperant. If things really escalated, it could cause trouble. Thus, Wang Anjun gave a straightforward reminder.

"Boss Wang, this is inside the country, not like when we’re on assignnts abroad. I’m headed there now, but I don’t think there will be issues like torture and forced confessions," Zhou Yang hadn’t yet realized, thinking Wang Anjun was worried about his disciple’s safety.

"My disciple should be my master’s full-fledged disciple. I don’t know what his temperant is like, but his skills should be absolutely terrifying. Think about it, I spent only a few days with the master, but who knows how long he’s been with the master. Therefore, I’m afraid that if he really can’t control the situation and takes action, it’ll be problematic. The consequences are beyond our imagination. I’m not worried about him; I’m worried he’ll turn your place upside down."

Ah!

Zhou Yang fell silent upon hearing this. So this was Boss Wang’s concern. But Boss Wang had only been with the master for a few days—who was their master, an Immortal? Just thinking about it sent Zhou Yang’s heart into erratic throbs.

A few days’ ti was enough to bring Boss Wang to such a level; it was unimaginable.

"Boss Wang, what’s his na? I’m heading over now." Zhou Yang wiped the cold sweat off his brow and asked hastily, feeling a sense of urgency. He truly feared that, if what Wang Anjun said was true and they couldn’t control the situation and it led to violence, that would truly be a disaster.

"Lin Feng, go handle it. When I get back, let’s et up and have a good talk," Wang Anjun said.

"Okay, I’m on my way right now."

"Hang up," Wang Anjun then hung up the phone directly.

Zhou Yang wiped away his cold sweat, rushed downstairs to his car, and sped toward the Chengnan branch bureau. He had no choice; after listening to Wang Anjun’s words, he was truly anxious. While in the car, he didn’t forget to call Fan Ming at the Chengnan branch bureau, warning him to be careful with Lin Feng, or else there could be serious trouble...

.............................

Outside the interrogation room, Leng i was also very anxious, wondering why it was taking so long for Lin Feng to co out. Her lawyer friend had already arrived and communicated with the people here, but the outco was unexpectedly a flat refusal for bail. The reasoning was laughable—they claid that Lin Feng’s behavior was a threat to society, but no specific reasons were given; there was complete refusal to explain or grant bail. Wasn’t that utterly absurd?

Having waited so long without results, Leng i glanced at Rafael, who was leisurely beside her, thinking of finding a breakthrough with him.

"Rafael, you must know what’s going on. We all co from the sa school; let’s just call it quits," Leng i said, looking at Rafael for answers.

"i, if you agree to be my girlfriend, I’ll withdraw the accusation against him," Rafael said unabashedly.

Leng i gave Rafael a cold look, disgust flashing in her eyes. With things having co to this point, there was no need for further discussion. At that mont, she felt a rare impulse to leverage her family’s influence...
