Chapter 127: Chapter 127: What’s up with Liu Nan?

Watching Lin Feng save Lin Dongchen’s life from the mont he entered the room, Vice Dean Zhao was now completely in awe of this young national player. He also deeply understood what kind of unit the Leader’s Health Care Group was. He regretted that he had once applied to join it, not understanding why he always failed. Now he realized the gap between himself and them was more than he could explain.

First was the silver needle to stop the bleeding, followed by the superhuman suturing of the wound, and finally the miraculously effective acupuncture and tuina massage. He couldn’t master any of these three skills. Although he was already over seventy years old, when it ca to traditional Chinese dicine, he was nothing compared to the young Lin Feng. He simply did not have Lin Feng’s skills.

But now what intrigued him most was Lin Feng’s last miraculous tuina massage. The first two skills were explainable, but the last one defied explanation. It couldn’t possibly be done by anyone else, the bruising faded as soon as Lin Feng’s palm passed over it. It seed impossible, yet it happened with Lin Feng, as evidenced by the healthy color of Lin Dongchen’s back.

Good heavens! Was Lin Feng even human, possessing such incredible dical skills at such a young age? How were they, old n in their seventies and eighties, supposed to keep on living? Vice Dean Zhao felt an indescribable sensation, deep in frustration. They were all dical professionals, yet why was the gap so vast? Where could he put his old face now...

Everyone’s minds were a ss, but it all revolved around Lin Feng.

Just as the two doctors were still recovering from the shock Lin Feng had given them, the noise outside started again, rendering the doctors utterly speechless. They wondered what was going on today that it was so disorderly, such situations were rare ordinarily.

"I’ll go have a look," Wang Xu was the first to speak. It was rare to see a national player like Lin Feng in action saving soone, and he didn’t want the opportunity disrupted by so unrelated person.

"Things are stable here now, I’ll go check on my sister as well," Lin Feng said, as he saw that Lin Dongchen was stable. He wanted to go out and comfort Lin Jie, to put her mind at ease!

However, at that mont, the noise outside grew louder, causing Wang Xu to frown. What was happening in the ergency room today; why was it so chaotic?

...

Liu Li, upon hearing from her daughter on the phone that her father had been beaten and was now in the military hospital, beca extrely anxious. She dropped everything and rushed to the hospital—nothing was more important than her husband!

When she arrived at the hospital and saw her daughter sitting there dumbly, like a wooden figure, a terrible thought popped into her head, and she walked straight to her daughter’s side.

"Xiao Jie, where’s your dad?" Liu Li grabbed her daughter’s hand, asking with extre nervousness about her husband’s whereabouts.

"Mom... Dad is still in the resuscitation room, he hasn’t co out yet, the doctors told us to prepare for the worst... woohoo!" Lin Jie, seeing her mother arrive, couldn’t help crying again after having just stopped. She buried herself in her mother’s arms and wailed loudly.

"Prepare for what? Ah..." Liu Li realized what her daughter ant by "prepare," and no longer able to contain herself, she fainted!

"Mom! Mom, what’s wrong with you, please wake up! Don’t scare ... woohoo!" Suddenly feeling her mother’s strength drain away as she collapsed, Lin Jie was terrified. With her father still in the resuscitation room, she didn’t know what she would do if sothing happened to her mother too!

"Mom... Mom wake up... please wake up..." Lin Jie kept shaking her mother, calling out non-stop until her voice went hoarse, but she still couldn’t wake her mother.

At that mont, Wang Xu and Lin Feng ca out and saw what was happening outside. Wang Xu was taken aback. What was going on? Why had another person fainted? Who was this woman who had just collapsed?

"Xiao Wu, what’s going on here?" Wang Xu directly asked Nurse Wu, who was on duty in the lobby. She should know what was happening.

"Doctor Wang, this woman is the wife of the patient inside. She heard that her husband was in critical condition and fainted right here," Nurse Wu briefly explained the situation before running to the side of the collapsed woman, pinching her philtrum firmly.

"Mom is awake, Mom is awake!" Lin Jie, seeing her mother regain consciousness, imdiately shouted happily, then hugged her mother tightly. The fear she had experienced a mont ago was overwhelming; she couldn’t imagine what she would do if she lost both her parents!

"Xiao Jie, where’s your dad? Where’s your dad?" As soon as Liu Li regained consciousness, she imdiately grabbed her daughter’s hand anxiously and asked. Her husband’s safety was the most important thing; nothing else mattered.

"Dad! Oh right, Brother Lin Feng, how is my dad doing now?" Lin Jie suddenly rembered. It seed like she had just been begging Lin Feng to save her dad. After that, she didn’t know what had happened to her, unaware of anything, and if it hadn’t been for her mom’s question, she wouldn’t have realized.

"Your dad doesn’t have any major problems, and there is no longer a threat to his life," Lin Feng summarized Lin Dongchen’s condition briefly to reassure Lin Jie and her mother.

"It’s good that there’s no threat to his life, it’s good... Wait, what do you an by no major problems?" Liu Li suddenly caught on that there was sothing more in Lin Feng’s words. There must be sothing he hadn’t ntioned yet.

"Yeah, Lin Feng, tell us quickly what exactly is going on with dad!" Lin Jie also anxiously pressed Lin Feng for more information. What did he an by no major problems? How could they not be worried?

"The assailant was quite harsh. External wounds are easier to deal with, but internal injuries require gradual treatnt. Also, his left eye must be removed; I am powerless to help with that." Lin Feng stated the situation in detail, to prevent them from worrying further about Lin Dongchen’s health.

"Ah! My dad’s eye needs to be removed? Wuu wuu!" Never had it crossed Lin Jie’s mind that her father would lose an eye, and she buried herself in her mother’s embrace again, crying for her father’s pain.

"Does it really have to be removed? Can’t it be cured at all?" Liu Li asked Lin Feng, not willing to give up, holding on to the slimst hope to save her husband’s eye.

"You should be content. When he was brought in, did you see his condition? He was barely breathing. If it wasn’t for Mr. Lin’s intervention, we would not have been able to save your husband! And still, you ask for more!" Wang Xu, watching from the side, couldn’t hold back and pointedly explained to Lin Jie and her mother. People always want more than what they have, demanding without understanding the situation. If there were a way, wouldn’t we do it!

Ah! Was her husband saved by Lin Feng? Lin Feng was supposed to be just a college professor, how could he possess dical skills? Listening to the doctor, it seed he was extrely skilled. It was Lin Feng who saved her husband’s life. How could that be possible! Liu Li’s eyes were fixed on Lin Feng, her mind baffled by his actions.

Hearing the doctor say it was Brother Lin Feng who saved her dad, Lin Jie truly couldn’t believe it was true! When they had first arrived at the hospital, she was already frightened to the point of fainting by her dad’s condition. Her mind was in total chaos, and seeing Brother Lin Feng, she just felt he was trustworthy. Desperate, she sought his help without considering whether or not Brother Lin Feng had any dical skills.

She truly couldn’t believe that all of this was real, that Brother Lin Feng had really saved her dad’s life!

"Lin... Lin Feng, I am... really grateful to you. Thank you." Liu Li expressed her gratitude respectfully to Lin Feng. No matter what, he was the one who had saved her husband, and she had to say thank you.

Now, rembering all that she had done in the past, she felt nothing but regret. Previously, she only aid to gain various benefits from the Lin Family, treating the Lin Family with the utmost respect. However, after the Lin Family’s misfortune, she even encouraged her husband to demand a very profitable subsidiary company, leading to their current wealth. Yet, when she encountered the Lin Family again in Tianhai, she didn’t show the slightest rembrance of the Lin Family’s kindness. Instead of offering help, she kicked them while they were down, mocking and belittling their desolation...

But she never expected that in such a short period of ti, her husband would suffer such a severe injury, and it was Lin Feng who had saved him. How could she have the audacity to face the Lin Family, to face Lin Feng after this! Recalling her actions, she felt ashad and filled with regret.

"Brother Lin Feng, I... thank you!" Lin Jie also looked at Lin Feng with her watery, sincere eyes and voiced her gratitude. If her mother hadn’t been beside her, she would have liked to throw herself into Lin Feng’s arms and cry so more.

"No need to thank . By the way, do any of you know who Uncle Lin was dining with?" Lin Feng had been pondering, Lin Dongchen was such a timid person, who could he have been in conflict with that would result in such an incident?

"Ah! Now I rember. When he left, he seed to say he was dining with so Liu Nan, and it seed like it was Lin Jie’s classmate." Liu Li, prompted by Lin Feng’s question, suddenly recalled that her husband had told her he was going to dine with soone nad Liu Nan. Could it be related to this Liu Nan?

"What, dad was having dinner with Liu Nan?" Upon hearing her mother ntion this Liu Nan, Lin Jie’s face changed completely, and she instantly understood what had happened.

"What’s the deal with this Liu Nan?" Lin Feng was curious. Who exactly was this person that could change Lin Jie’s expression so dramatically?
