Chapter 1261: Chapter 1259: Investigate!

"Alright, let him contact

when the ti cos, I’ll arrange for soone to pick him up."

"Senior Brother, who exactly is the arms trafficker you’re detaining? Why would sothing like this happen?"

"Don’t even ntion it. This arms trafficker is a renowned figure across the Eurasian Continent. As long as you have money, he has every kind of weapon imaginable. Not long ago, he smuggled a batch of arms into the country worth over three billion. It wasn’t easy to catch him."

"What’s this arms trafficker’s background? He doesn’t seem like an ordinary character."

"To be honest, he’s anything but ordinary. His na is Jones Lock. You can probably guess who he is, right?"

"A mber of the world-class arms manufacturing Locke Family?"

"That’s right. We suspect that the robot that showed up recently is probably the Locke Family’s newest secret weapon."

...

Afterward, Lin Feng and Shang Yi casually chatted for a while. Through their conversation, Lin Feng finally understood why this situation had occurred. It turned out to be the Locke Family’s involvent. Given their reputation, situations like these were par for the course. It was already lucky they weren’t sending ard forces directly.

After chatting for a bit, Lin Feng sensed through his Divine Sense that Ding Wan’er and Leng i had already gotten up. He ended the call with Shang Yi and then used his Divine Sense to notify Leng Hao to take Xia Jianping and Xia Jianwu, the two kids, and imdiately head to the border to assist Shang Yi.

After arranging everything, Lin Feng humd a tune and went back to preparing breakfast for Ding Wan’er and Leng i...

......

There was nothing much happening in the morning, so Lin Feng went to check on the children and personally guided them in their cultivation practice. Not far away, Qi Zheng and Qi Hai watched in astonishnt. They couldn’t believe that these seemingly ten-year-old children were undergoing a training regi far too intense even for adults. They couldn’t decide if this was training or sheer torture. Yet, shockingly, these kids managed to endure it, leaving the two n utterly speechless. At that mont, they finally understood why the Xia Family’s children always managed to shine during competitions. Experiencing this Hell-like training, it would truly be abnormal if they didn’t outperform others!

As he watched the children undergo their grueling training, Qi Zheng and Qi Hai couldn’t help but wonder how such training could be sustainable. Even adult cultivators might not endure this level of intensity, yet these children, with their still-developing bodies, managed to bear all of it. It was utterly baffling, and no matter how hard they racked their brains, they couldn’t understand how Lin Feng ensured the children’s safety amidst such extre training...

Before they knew it, noon arrived. After arranging the children’s next set of training sessions, Lin Feng turned around, intending to prepare lunch for Ding Wan’er and Leng i. But just as Lin Feng turned, a fiery red sports car appeared in the distance, blazing forth like a fla!

"Screech!"

The eye-catching sports car sped over and ca to a sudden brake in front of Lin Feng, ending with an impressive drift before stopping steadily. Once parked, four stunning beauties stepped out of the vehicle, arm in arm, and walked up to Lin Feng.

"Senior Sister, Yaoyao, what brings you here? And in such a flashy sports car too. To be fair, the car is quite stunning." Lin Feng looked at the four beauties standing before him with a smile. He hadn’t expected Senior Sister Chu ng and Shen Yao to return, let alone bringing Ding Wan’er and Leng i back with them. Seeing them all made Lin Feng’s mood exceptionally bright.

"We just finished a project over in Yuegang and decided to visit Yaoyao. But Yaoyao insisted on seeing you, so I brought her along. Luckily, we’ve got our own plane—it’s only a few hours back and forth," Chu ng said with a smile. She had been incredibly busy recently, and Lin Feng had been out of sight as well. After not seeing him for so long, she truly missed him.

"You won’t bla , will you? I couldn’t help it—I missed you too much!" Shen Yao ran to Lin Feng’s side, tugging on his hand as she pouted. She rembered Lin Feng had once told her not to visit Tianhai randomly, but it had been ages since they’d seen each other. Her longing had overridden her restraint, prompting her to tag along with Senior Sister Chu ng. She hoped Lin Feng wouldn’t be upset.

"How could I bla you? You’ve overthought it. It’s good you ca. Co on, I’ll make sothing delicious for lunch." Lin Feng smiled and patted Shen Yao’s head. After speaking, he led the four won towards the villa.

On the way, the four won chatted incessantly, their bond warm and sisterly, as though they hadn’t seen each other in years. Their camaraderie delighted Lin Feng, who was relieved to see such harmony among them—it spared him from worrying about potential tensions.

Once inside the villa, Lin Feng arranged for the four won to watch TV and imdiately headed into the kitchen to prepare their al.

Before long, the dishes were ready. To celebrate Senior Sister Chu ng and Shen Yao’s arrival, Lin Feng cooked ten dishes, filling the table to the brim. He knew all too well the group’s hearty appetite; any less wouldn’t suffice. This ti, he made sure the portions were generous.

"Wow, so much! Finally, I get to eat Lin Feng’s cooking again!" Shen Yao exclaid excitedly, overjoyed. Back in Yuegang, she’d salivated at the thought of Lin Feng’s food, but the chefs there could never replicate his flavors. Now that she could finally enjoy his cooking again, she couldn’t hide her happiness.

"Junior Brother, you’re so considerate—knowing I’ve been craving your food for ages!" Chu ng said with a laugh. She was equally thrilled. Busy with business matters, she rarely had the chance for a proper al. Even at the finest restaurants, the food didn’t tantalize her palate. Her tastes had been entirely spoiled by Lin Feng, and now, finally being able to eat his dishes, her joy was overflowing.

Ding Wan’er and Leng i quietly watched from the side, their smiles never wavering. Seeing Chu ng and Shen Yao return also lifted their spirits imnsely.

"Dig in. It won’t be as tasty once it gets cold," Lin Feng said with a warm smile as he gestured for the four won to start eating while the food was still hot.

Hearing Lin Feng’s prompt, Chu ng and Shen Yao’s eyes lit up as they called Ding Wan’er and Leng i to join them. The four won began a lively war with chopsticks over the food...

Despite there being plenty of dishes, the four won’s voracious appetites quickly wiped out the entire table. Later, Shen Yao regretted not snatching more as she still felt hungry but was left with nothing to eat—this made her quite remorseful.

The group burst into laughter over her plight, the atmosphere joyous and harmonious. After tidying away the dishes, Lin Feng joined the four won in the living room for TV ti. With nothing particularly interesting on, Lin Feng spontaneously decided to join them in watching a South Korean cody, bringing plenty of light-hearted monts.

Sitting beside Lin Feng, Shen Yao glanced at him and then at Chu ng. She had long understood Chu ng’s feelings, but seeing that Lin Feng hadn’t made any moves regarding Chu ng for so long made her anxious. Determined to help things progress, she started brainstorming ideas. Soon, an excellent plan sprang to mind...

"Lin Feng, do you think Senior Sister isn’t happy?" Shen Yao asked Lin Feng with a mischievous smile.

"She’s happy. Why would you ask that?" Lin Feng, engrossed in the TV, froze for a mont at her seemingly random question, unsure of her intention.

"If she’s happy, why don’t you give her a hug? To be honest, Sister Wan’er, Sister Leng i, and I haven’t seen you hug Senior Sister in front of us before." Shen Yao said earnestly while looking at Lin Feng. What she said wasn’t untrue—Lin Feng had never hugged Chu ng openly. As for private interactions, she couldn’t say, but now she simply wanted Lin Feng to show so clarity.

"That’s right, Lin Feng! Go on and hug Senior Sister!" Ding Wan’er joined in with a playful grin, clearly enjoying stirring things up. The won shared a close bond, and they felt it wasn’t fair that Chu ng, who had been with Lin Feng the longest, was still stuck at a re polite relationship. They believed it was overdue for progression, and if Lin Feng acted on his feelings tonight, they certainly wouldn’t object.

At the side, Leng i watched quietly, her face also filled with smiles. She agreed that Chu ng and Lin Feng’s relationship deserved to advance, and she was curious to see how Lin Feng would respond.

Hearing the two won’s teasing, Lin Feng laughed and decided to play along. Getting up, he walked over to Chu ng with the intention of giving her a proper hug. But before he could do so, Chu ng unexpectedly stood up from the couch and threw her arms around him! The tables had turned!

And that wasn’t all—after hugging Lin Feng, Chu ng kissed him on the cheek and teasingly said, "Little Junior Brother, if you want, we can head upstairs right now!"

Her flirtatious tone and playful expression made everyone in the room burst into laughter. None of them had expected Chu ng to reveal such an amusing side, prompting Shen Yao to mimic Chu ng’s gesture, causing waves of hilarity throughout the room!

Lin Feng, caught in the mont, laughed along. Watching the four won laugh with such joy, he felt an imnse warmth in his heart. This was what true happiness felt like...

But life has a way of throwing curveballs. Just as everyone was enjoying themselves, Chu ng’s phone rang inside her work bag, instantly dampening the mood. This particular phone rarely rang unless there was sothing highly urgent, as her assistant wouldn’t bother calling otherwise.

Helplessly, Chu ng answered the call, but her expression drastically changed upon hearing the news. She exclaid, "What? How could this happen?"

Without hanging up, she quickly pulled a sleek, ultra-thin business laptop from her bag, opened it, and began checking her emails. After skimming through the details, her face turned even darker. She instructed the person on the other end of the call, "Investigate—imdiately investigate! I need to know what the hell is going on. How could such critical technical information possibly leak? Do you realize what this ans? Spare no effort or cost; get

results as soon as possible! If you can’t, don’t bother working for

anymore!"

Ending the call angrily, she tossed the phone onto the table, fuming. The change in her deanor left Lin Feng and the other three won puzzled, each wondering what had happened.
