“A company had invited to be their independent outside director!” Kada Masao avoided Feng Yu’s eyes as he said.

Feng Yu laughed. “It’s common for top executives to beco independent outside directors of another company. What’s wrong? Which company is it?”
Feng Yu might look pleased, but he is not happy in his heart. He had given Kada Masao authority, and shares are to let him work for him wholeheartedly.
If Kada Masao becos another company’s director, he will be distracted. But since he brought this up to Feng Yu, he should be interested. That’s why Feng Yu did not stop him.
Feng Yu is also curious which company had invited Kada Masao. By right, they should have invited him.

“Why did he invite you to be their independent outside director? Does this an you had bought Softbank’s shares?”
“Not!” Kada Masao quickly replied. “I know I can get to this position is because of you. If I am not the President of Wind and Rain Holdings, he will not invite .”
“I think he wants to invite you, but Sun Zhengyi denied when I asked him. Maybe he feels that he is not good enough to invite you.’
Feng Yu shook his head and smiled. Kada Masao is a master at sucking up to him!
“Alright. I had snatched many investnt opportunities from Sun Zhengyi and made money from those companies. This had lowered his investnts in China, and he should hate . It is normal for him not to invite . Furthermore, why will I agree if he invites ? Do you think I care about being Softbank’s independent outside director?”
Softbank is one of the most famous investnt companies globally. They have the most investnts in IT-related companies in the world.
They invested in more than 500 companies globally and owned more than 30% shares in nearly 300 IT companies. Before the dot crisis, Sun Zhengyi was not only Japan’s Richest Man, and he is also one of the top ten billionaires in the world.
But Softbank’s shares plunged after the dot bubble burst, and so of the companies they own went bust, causing heavy losses. Despite this, Sun Zhengyi is still Japan’s Richest Man above Kada Masao!
Sun Zhengyi is similar to Kada Masao. Both do not have deep roots in Japan and cannot be compared to those Japanese MNC with a long history.
Those MNC do not have any super tycoons, but the wealth they control through shares exchanges is shocking.
This is also why Feng Yu does not think his status as the World’s Richest Man is that important. Those large conglorates are extrely wealthy, and their assets are still far from them.
Suppose Morgan Financial Group invited Feng Yu to beco their independent outside director. In that case, he might be interested because they control trillions of USD worth of assets.

Kada Masao heard what Feng Yu said and added. “That’s right. Your assets are more than Softbank. Why should you beco their director? I think they know this, and that’s why they did not invite you.”
“But I am different. Although I had made so money, and my declared assets are second in Japan, my roots are not deep in Japan. My family’s status is also not high.”

These people can help with Softbank’s investnt and expansion after they entered the Board of Directors. Kada Masao can also benefit Wind and Rain Holdings after he becos a Softbank director. He should know which side can benefit him more, and he will never betray Feng Yu.
Why is Sun Zhengyi doing this? What is his motive?
