Chapter 1330 – Bear Grylls
Bear Grylls is a UK retired army officer, and he is famous as the author of a best-seller book.
His books talked about his various adventures and experiences. This year, he led a team to cross the North Atlantic in an inflatable boat.

Today, Bear Grylls had co to Shanghai. Amazon’s Director Ralph invited him to discuss a TV program.
Bear Grylls’ book is selling well on Amazon, and he intends to write his second book about his crossing of the North Atlantic next year.
But Bear Grylls did not expect Amazon’s Director to invite him to Shanghai and tell him that they have a job, which he will be interested in him.
“Mr. Ralph, when is the program’s producer arriving?”
“He will be here soon. I dare to guarantee that you will never expect who he is.” Ralph had a mysterious smile.
Bear Grylls wants to ask Ralph for more details but noticed the latter does not want to chat with him.
After a while, the door opens, and a Chinese man in his thirties entered without knocking.
Bear Grylls frowned as he felt this guy is rude. There are people in the room, and how can he enter without knocking?
But before Bear Grylls could say anything, Mr. Ralph stood up and bowed slightly. He looks like a subordinate eting his superior. Who is this young Asian man?
“Nice to et you, Mr. Grylls. I am Feng Yu.”
“Hi. Are you the producer of this show?”
Producer? Feng Yu turns to Ralph. Is this how you introduce ?
Feng Yu had only provided the concept and idea of this program. He does not know anything about TV production despite watching a lot of TV programs. Many people had watched movies, but how many dare to claim they can direct a movie? They might not even know how to write the script.
Ralph added. “Mr. Grylls, this is my Boss, Feng Yu. Don’t you find his na familiar?”
Bear Grylls thought for a while. He had heard of Feng Yu before..., and he suddenly exclaid. “You are the World’s Richest Man, Feng Yu?!”
Feng Yu smiles and nods. He thought Bear Grylls doesn’t care about his status earlier, but it turns out that he was not told who he is eting.
“You... are going to produce a TV program and wants to be the host?!” Bear Grylls asked again.
“What’s wrong? Are you not confident?” Feng Yu asked.
“I had hosted a TV program before. I don’t know if you have watched it, but my program is different from what you imagine.” Bear Grylls replied.
“Hahaha... it’s fine. What I want is different. This is the concept and basic plan for this program. Take a look and tell if you are interested.”
Feng Yu took out a proposal in English and gave it to Bear Grylls while he relaxes and enjoys his tea on the sofa.
Bear Grylls does not have high hopes for this program and had co to Shanghai because Ralph told him he could get sponsorships for his next expedition.
But after seeing the concept and plans for this program, Bear Grylls’s eyes beco brighter.
This program is what he has in mind. He wants to host this program, and even if he cannot host it, he also wants to participate in it!
“Mr. Feng Yu.”
“Feng is my surna.”
“Mr. Feng, I am very interested in this program. Please hand it over to my team and . I promise we can do a good job. But this proposal is quite brief. Can I look at the detailed proposal?” Bear Grylls excitedly asked.
“You are interested? Terrific. But did you notice that all the filming for this program must be fild by you all? I will provide the HD Digital Video Caras for you all. It’s an HD DV about the size of a shoe, and we will provide all the expenses. In exchange, you all must give good footage, and I will get soone to edit it before selling it to TV stations or websites to air it.”
“Let know how much salary you and your team want. I will give you the total amount, and you all can split it among yourselves. I will not interfere. We are still working on the detailed proposal, and you should see the first episode’s plan after you signed the contract. I believe this program will make you famous.”
Filming themselves is not an issue with Bear Grylls and his team, and they can get a few days of rest after every episode. But the proposal states that they can only use the equipnt provided by the production team. He cannot agree to this as their lives depend on the equipnt.
“Mr. Feng, I will provide a list of equipnt, and if you all are going to promote your equipnt, it must be checked and approved by my team first.”
Promoting equipnt is only part of Feng Yu’s plan. His main purpose is to promote his HD DV. Although his DVs are not as good as Sony’s, it is sufficient to film this program.
“No problem. If the equipnt we provided does not et your requirent, you can let us know. We will purchase the equipnt you ask for. Oh, if possible, we would want to print our logos on you and your team’s clothing. Of course, we can discuss if you must tear your clothes during the show.”
A TV program can have many product placents and advertisents. For example, no one will find it weird when the main actor and actress et at McDonald’s in a movie. But McDonald’s had just advertised in the movie.
“Also, the footage must show these logos clearly. I am a businessman and not a philanthropist.”
“These are not a problem. As for the paynts, I would need to discuss them with my team. But don’t worry. I will sign up for this show.” Bear Grylls replied earnestly. He is afraid others might snatch away this opportunity.
“Then I shall wait for your good news. According to our Chinese custom, I should prepare a feast tonight to welco you. Ralph, please send Mr. Grylls to his hotel, and we can chat over dinner later.”
In Feng Yu’s previous life, Bear Grylls is the man at the top of the food pyramid and dares to eat everything.
Feng Yu wants to see if Bear Grylls dares to eat this scary Chinese food tonight. Yes, maybe he can prepare so raw food for him to try.
If this docuntary is successful, many filmmakers will notice Wind and Rain’s HD DV. Although so features are not as good as the Japanese DVs, they are smaller and more durable. This show should increase DV’s sales.
