“What? The SEC is investigating ?” Soros exclaid.
“Yes. They had called us and will be coming over in the afternoon.” Drucken Miller replied. “Boss, could it be that the higher-ups are unhappy with us making profits during this period?”
“What has this got to do with them? We had only made so investnts and had not to use any strategy to suppress the market. Since short position contracts are a financial instrunt, there is nothing wrong with investing in them.”
Although Soros said this, he was still worried. He is no longer the world’s top hedge fund manager, or else, his profits from shorting the stock index will not be so little.
Soros can borrow a large number of funds and investnts with just a phone call in the past. But now, everything had changed as he had lost badly during the Asian Financial Crisis.
When you have been making money, many people will want you to invest for them. But when you suffered losses once, many people will stop trusting you. During the Asian Financial Crisis, Soros had made the wrong decisions, and his supporters left.

“Why did you short the Nasdaq index? Did you receive any information beforehand?” Thomas asked.
Soros is shocked. What is the aning of this? What do I know? I don’t know anything about the attacks!
That’s right. Soros does not know anything. If he knew about the attacks, he would definitely use all his tricks to cover his tracks and maximize his profits. “If not, what do you think?” Soros asked Thomas back.
If Thomas dares to say he is involved in this attack, he will sue him for slander. In the US, Soros is innocent unless there is evidence to prove he is guilty.
Thomas laughed and took a sip of his coffee as he looked at Soros’s provoking expression.
Thomas felt better in this eting, as he felt respected. In his eting with Feng Yu, Feng Yu had not offered plain water, let alone coffee!
But there’s nothing Thomas can do to Feng Yu. Feng Yu is not an Arican, and his company is not registered in the US. He had only invested in the US market. If the SEC used extre thods to deal with Feng Yu, who will dare to invest in the US?

Soros narrowed his eyes. He is being threatened now. If this is in the past, he will not even be bothered with Thomas and let Drucken Miller handle him.

“You want to expose ? Go ahead. I believe many more people will invest in our Quantum Fund if people know about this. As a hedge fund, we can make higher profits with bigger funds.” Soros replied.
Thomas saw Soros as not being cooperative, but he is not afraid of being investigated.
Soros is really innocent?!
If Soros is innocent, how is Thomas going to answer to his higher-ups? They are lucky, or they have better foresight?!
There are always so lucky people during major events, and they are the ones who made lots of money. For example, so companies had bet against the oil futures opposite of others during the gulf war. When everyone is betting on oil prices to rise, he will bet against them. In the end, they are the biggest winners.
“Mr. Soros. I hope you will not break any regulations in the future.” Thomas said as he stood up.
Soros remained on the sofa. “You are not even born when I am investing!”
Soros sighed after Thomas left. He had offended the SEC, and this is not a good thing.
Soros did not expect to have so many worries even when making money!
