Extra's Strategy: Cultivate Protagonists, Become Invincible Chapter 81: The Most Annoying Competitor
"So it seems that managing to fill up the words on the walls is basically like establishing a ntal connection with the texts, using the qi that was ant for . This, in turn, can transfer the information contained in the texts directly to my brain.
"If that’s the case, then all I have to do in order to figure out how to get out of here is to fill up enough texts with my qi. Mu Ran must have done the sa thing!"
After realizing this, Han Xuhan’s hopes had shot skywards.
But then, a second realization had followed. The amount of texts engraved on the walls was enormous.
Staring all around himself, running his gaze across the massive stadium, Han Xuhan shivered. These walls were gigantic. And the texts reached all the way up to the rounded do-shaped roof above their heads!
It’d take him a very long ti to fill them up with qi, analyze the transferred information in his brain, and slowly decipher their aning. Moreover, he wouldn’t even be able to get close to a major portion of the texts because of their high placent on the walls.
"First, let’s take a look at what Mu Ran wrote that helped him leave this stadium. It has to have a clue to a quick escape."
Invigorated by the idea, Han Xuhan suppressed his excitent, lest sobody should suspect anything, and walked calmly toward the place where Mu Ran had left his mark on the ground.
Zhanxian followed behind him without missing a beat. After sending the not-so-friendly atmosphere inside the stadium, this minion of his seed to have planned to hide behind its master the entire ti.
Han Xuhan’s reappearance in front of the carvings made on the ground didn’t raise as much curiosity among the other observers as it had the previous ti. Everyone here had taken multiple looks at it so far.
Peering down at the carved texts, he realized that he couldn’t recognize any of the letters used by Mu Ran, despite having learned more than fifty of them just a minute ago. But that was understandable. The texts on the walls weren’t written by ordinary ans, whereas Mu Ran had used a spearhead to write his.
Since there were others observing the writings closely alongside him, it was inconvenient to use his qi replenishing cycle to fill the texts up. Han Xuhan didn’t want to give away the trick.
The cyan-robed man, Qian Yun, was busy with so relatively simple-looking texts in a corner of the stadium. Han Xuhan silently walked over to him and whispered a sentence in his ears. Then he quickly returned back to Mu Ran’s carvings.
It was ti to play a little ga.
"Hey Zhanxian, weren’t you always whining about getting so tattoos? How about now? These drawings on the walls and ground look pretty cool to . Rather than those stupid ’life quotes’ you were trying to engrave on your bones, why not try these?"
Very loudly, Han Xuhan voiced his suggestion to Zhanxian. The skeleton soldier opened his jaw to protest vehently, only to notice Han Xuhan’s wink.
Zhanxian was smart enough to know that he had to play along. So, despite dreading what was about to co, he put up a complentary act with his summoner.
"Sure, boss. But I get to pick which part of the texts I want tattooed. You better be confident that you can make it look good on !"
Han Xuhan heard the threat in his minion’s tone and couldn’t help but get angry.
Why is this minion so fussy? It’s not like having an ugly tattoo was going to affect its career prospects! For an undead, the uglier one looked, the better!
anwhile, Zhanxian started examining the walls closely to look for cool-looking letters. Every ti he stopped, Han Xuhan would shout in a deafening voice.
"Not that one! That one looks too complicated. Look for another one!"
The shouts were enough to rupture so eardrums. The cultivators surrounding Mu Ran’s writings on the ground were incredibly annoyed.
They had been concentrating as hard as possible to look for clues. The random shouts behind them were enough to make a dying man wish for imdiate death. Who could concentrate properly in such an atmosphere?
"Boss! This one! This one looks cool! I want it!"
This ti, Zhanxian also joined in, figuring out what its summoner was after. Han Xuhan enthusiastically ran over, making the annoyed cultivators think he was finally going away. But they soon realized their mistake a few monts later...
Screeeechhh!
Gashgashgash!
Bang! Bang!
Clank! Clank!
Noises of tal rubbing against tal ca from the place Han Xuhan had run off to. Everybody in the stadium turned to take a look at what was happening.
Han Xuhan was busily sharpening a knife on so protrusions of the wall. Due to the rough texture of the walls, the sound made the people nearby feel like sobody was caressing their eardrums with a thin needle.
The shrill sound didn’t die down even after ten unbearable minutes. Han Xuhan looked determined to sharpen his blade until its edge beca invisible!
What made it worse was the fact that everyone could see that the walls were not suitable for sharpening a blade in the slightest.
It was downright obvious to them that this masked brat was simply trying to disturb everyone because he couldn’t decipher them himself!
One of the more impatient cultivators finally couldn’t take it anymore and decided to stomp toward Han Xuhan, killing intent surging out of his body like a flood. Han Xuhan imdiately stopped what he was doing.
With an eagerness that only a psychotic, bloodthirsty fellow would show in anticipation of a brawl, he pulled out his glaive. However, the blade of the glaive fell down the mont he raised it aggressively, leaving just a stick in his hands.
The approaching brawny young man roared in derisive laughter.
"Heh, brat! Do you think that broken little stick of yours can scare anybody?"
"That’s what your mother said!"
Han Xuhan laughed back in a dented manner. The insult was so blatant and deliberate that it made even his angry opponent pause.
Han Xuhan’s enthusiasm to start a fight made him feel a little concerned.
