What the hell made him change his mind?

One mont, he was too scared to face her in combat. The next mont, he was offering to fight her like an equal.

Was he sick in the head?

Maybe he's just trying to frustrate . A wretch like him... perhaps this was how he got his gratification!

Sniffling, she agreed without a second thought and headed to the backyard confidently.

Han Xuhan took his sweet ti to appear there, opening the back door of the hut with utmost caution. The pretentious act truly made her want to rush over and smash his face into pulp.

If you're so fearful of , why the hell did you propose a duel? Quit the drama!

"Stop wasting my ti. Let's get this over with," she barked, cracking her fists in anticipation.

Han Xuhan paid her no heed. He was trying to delay the duel for a reason she could never truly guess. He had just released his personal collection of poisonous pill fog in the air around the hut!

After his duel with Jiang Chen, he had realized that relying on Qian Yun's displacent array to siphon poisonous fog into his backyard was not practical.

So he had gone to the treasury, taken Xiao Po's advice, and purchased a small apparatus that could do the siphoning by itself and store the fog for so ti.

Afterwards, it was just a simple matter of using his fog-tracking map to collect what he needed from all over the mountain range.

Now, aside from the attribute of vitality draining, the weapon that had defeated Jiang Chen, the fog in his collection also had the ability to weaken a victim physically.

He knew that the effect of the poison on his opponent would not be imdiate. Hence, he needed to delay the eventual fight. After all, he was not entirely sure whether he could beat her.

Not minding the venomous glare she was subjecting him to, he first spent a couple of minutes 'stretching his muscles'. Then a minute more practicing so obviously fake martial moves.

Just when it looked like she was truly at the edge of her patience, he announced his readiness, striking a cool pose.

"Let's fight!"

Roaring like a wounded lion, Sister i lunged at him at the top of her speed. She turned out to be far faster than Jiang Chen, having dropped all pretense.

Han Xuhan barely had the ti to react by the ti her fist reached his face. Taking the lessons learned through his recent duels, he retracted his face and front foot at the sa ti.

Sure enough, a sneaky, but fatal kick missed his calf by less than centiter. The wind of the kick itself almost stung his skin.

If Jiang Chen's fighting style could be called thodical and stable, then Sister i's fighting style could be placed at the opposite end of the spectrum.

The mont her kick missed, she used the residual montum of her leg to spin her entire body in the air and execute another crazy spinning back kick, airborne.

Han Xuhan had neither the speed nor the skill to block that kick. It struck his ribcage like a hamr and sent him flying.

Just like Jiang Chen, his back smashed into the wall of the yard, and he crumpled down from there like a rag doll.

However, the sight did not bring any satisfaction to Miss i. She had distinctly felt that sothing was off during the mont of contact.

Their previous confrontation was a re week ago. At that ti, Han Xuhan hadn't lasted a single move against her. A flashy, not-so-powerful kick was all it took to shatter his knee.

But now, a full-force kick from her has failed to produce the sa effect. He might have been sent flying. But he was slowly getting back on his feet without a hint of injury.

How much did this guy waste on dicinal baths and physique-strengthening resources? Hundreds, if not over a thousand spirit stones!

Within one week, such a leap in martial prowess was almost disheartening as an opponent!

She felt a pang of regret. So many resources, all wasted on a hopeless piece of trash...

anwhile, Han Xuhan bent his knees and struck a pose that she found a little familiar.

Was that a stance from the Lightfoot Swallow Martial Art? Trash!

Yet, mysteriously enough, even as she sprang forward once more to cripple him again like that day, she found herself incapable of it.

Punch, kick, shoulder ram, limb locking, none of the straightforward techniques she executed could bring this guy down!

So she switched to heavy-handed martial moves, the sort reliant on massive surges of vital energy. And to her horror, she discovered that he was sohow countering those powerful moves!

Her flying overhead kick, a move that she had mastered to the point of instinctive practice, was evaded so casually that she almost scread out in frustration.

Then she attempted the Airstepping Side Kicks Series, a relatively difficult martial move that no rookie can possibly evade. Countering this move required extensive practice experience.

She was delighted when her first side kick sank into Han Xuhan's stomach. Just as she was about to execute the follow-up kicks that would bring out destructive vital energy, Han Xuhan simply ramd his torso into her without any attempt at self-defense.

Her balance was ruined imdiately, and her follow-up movent was disrupted halfway. The initial surge of vital energy in her legs dissipated, leaving her shaken.

Was it an accident? Or did he really know what he had to do to counter the move?

Impossible! This guy was a total rookie a week ago. Even the most monstrous martial artist could not possibly master such counters in such a short tifra!

Determination seeped into her heart as she switched tactics again. From common martial moves that were available in the sect, she moved to rarer, more difficult techniques.

So of them were actually beyond her martial realm, but she persisted, just to see whether Han Xuhan could still co up with counter moves!

Then, after a dozen failed attempts, he actually managed to strike her back, throwing her balance off for a dangerous, humiliating mont!
