"What do you an he used us for our bodies?" Sybil asked... though she already knew the answer, all of them automatically knew it the mont Rain’s words left her mouth.

The problem is why... Why would they even let Reinhardt do that with them? What had they seen in him?

He was prideful, stupid and wasn’t willing to learn, even though he was one of the most popular people in the Academy currently, none of the girls felt like they would ever find themselves in bed with him.

"It’s as I said. Reinhardt did... it with all of us." Rain replied while averting her gaze, her shoulders curled inward as well. "And sotis he made us wait in turns... other tis he just straight up neglected so of us and did it to enjoy himself only. But all of us were obsessed with the attentio—"

Sybil spat on the ground before she let Rain finish.

"I feel my mouth getting sour the more you speak... was I really that dumb?" Sybil asked, glaring at the floor.

She wasn’t angry just at Rain... she was more furious at herself.

She was furious at how blind the future Sybil had been and furious that she ever allowed Reinhardt close enough to even touch her.

’And I told Azel I’m not easy.’ She thought while shaking her head.

She was glad Azel ca into her life because now she would avoid Reinhardt forever. She didn’t even want to be in the sa vicinity with him anymore.

"I still don’t know how I wou—" Charlotte began, but Rain abruptly turned to her and gave her a sharp stink eye.

"Mada Estesse."

The mont Rain said it, everyone turned to Charlotte.

Charlotte froze like soone had poured cold water over her.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about," Charlotte said weakly, avoiding eye contact.

"You don’t know Mada Estesse?" Rain repeated, raising a brow. "The fortune teller who has a lot of custors daily... including students, professors, and even the Marketplace sellers?"

Rain crossed her arms.

’Since I’m coming clean with mine, she’ll do the sa.’

"Are you trying to say that this senior is Lady Estesse?" Sylvia asked.

She had just t Lady Estesse yesterday and paid a whole lot to hear her future... and it seed accurate, Was Rain saying she had been scamd?

"Yes." Rain said simply.

Charlotte averted her gaze and her cheeks reddened in embarrassnt.

"This is how you repay after I save your life? Tch... Boss would never do like this," Charlotte muttered bitterly as she shook her head.

The more she thought about it, the more her chest tightened.

What had happened to him?

Before she could ask, Flare stood up slowly.

"I want to ask... how exactly did you die?" Flare said.

Her voice was normal, but her hands trembled slightly.

She wanted to know if it was natural but judging from Rain’s expression, she doubted it.

Rain looked at the ceiling for a long mont and her lips pressed into a thin line.

"I... I died by being burned alive."

The room froze.

"The church charged for being a heretic," Rain continued. "and the ’Hero’ couldn’t even save his own lover. Reinhardt joined in and watched as they burned alive."

Her voice cracked and tears welled in her eyes. "I... just hate rembering that. But that’s it. My life wasn’t that special."

No one spoke.

Even Sylvia, who constantly looked elegant looked hollow.

Charlotte lowered her eyes.

Flare clenched her fists.

Sybil’s brows furrowed in fury.

It wasn’t just that Rain suffered... it was what the so-called Hero did.

"You said he led us to our deaths?" Charlotte finally asked. "How does that work?"

"I didn’t live long enough to check every single one of us," Rain said, wiping her eyes. "but yes. Each of us is special... We have different kinds of abilities we can either use naturally or in monts of danger. Reinhardt takes advantage of that. So each ti sothing big happens... sothing that would benefit him, he sacrifices us."

Rain bit her lip. "He already did it to Sybil."

"Huh?!" Sybil shot upright. "What did he do?"

"...I can’t say, You wouldn’t want to know." Rain muttered.

Sybil didn’t ask again.

That scared everyone a little.

Normally she would’ve demanded answers, but the silence she fell into felt heavier than her anger.

"Did I survive?" Flare asked quietly. She wanted to know if she achieved her dream... though her gut already told her the answer.

Rain rubbed her blond hair. "You were actually the first one of us to die. You were supposed to die next month in the first calamity that would befall the Academy."

Flare’s lips peeled shut. She stared at Rain for a long mont before slowly exhaling.

"...Okay," she whispered, settling back into her seat with her hands clasped tightly.

Sylvia exhaled sharply through her nose and crossed her arms. "I have a question..."

Rain didn’t even look at her. "What do you want, elf bitch?"

Sylvia’s long ears twitched but ignored the insult. "Don’t worry, I’m not asking about my future. I want to know what happened to Azel. Where is he? Why haven’t I heard from him? Why isn’t he in the Academy?"

"Yes," Charlotte added. "I also wanted to ask where Boss is."

"Do you know where Azel is?" Flare asked.

Rain opened her mouth. "I don—"

[Better co clean.]

"Azel is dead..."

The words dropped like a stone... and the silence that followed was suffocating.

Everyone stared at her.

Rain wasn’t smiling.

She wasn’t joking either. Her face was flat, and her eyes were empty.

Sybil’s breath hitched.

"How did he die?" she asked. Her voice was low and her magic stirred in the air around her.

"One of the attackers among the people that ca for us today killed him," Rain said quietly. "But I was the one that led him to his dea—"

Sybil didn’t hear the rest.

She turned into a bursting ball of wind, exploding forward in an instant.

"Fuck you!" she scread.

Her fist swung forward and a surge of wind followed, blasting Rain and the entire front of the classroom.

The blackboard splintered and dust as well as smoke burst everywhere.

"I hate you!" Sybil shouted.

Wind circled violently around her, scattering papers and shaking desks.

Rain lay among the rubble, coughing as dust filled the air.

She could barely lift her head but she deserved it.

And then...

The door slid open.

Esther, Charlotte’s younger sister, walked in while balancing a tray of drinks in one hand.

She blinked as she took in the wreckag and Rain half-buried under pieces of broken wood.

"Did I co at a wrong ti...?"
