Being led inside the police station was a fairly ordinary experience. The receptionist guided the trio through several offices where police officers were hard at work. The people here looked as tired as the receptionist leading them. Noticing Reeva’s gaze, the receptionist broke the silence.

"Not every day is like this... We’ve been short on people lately...."

"Why?" Reeva asked, anticipating what the man with glasses would say.

The recent unrest in the police station likely stemd from the fact that he had ssed up so of the church’s forces. Theodore was probably incapacitated after that fight, forcing the church to pull back so of its strength to recover. This ant that cases normally handled by the church were now falling to the police.

"Well, there was so incident....."

"Magnum! Are you discussing confidential information with random people again!?"

A loud voice shouted from within the police station, followed by the appearance of a rather large policeman. Not as big as Hinly, but certainly big enough to scare away ghosts at night. He walked up to the receptionist and slapped him on the head. His deep blue peeler coat sways as he walks to Magnum.

"How many tis do I have to say this? Keep your mouth shut!"

He hit the man with glasses on the head again. The poor guy could do nothing but take it ekly since he was clearly in the wrong. The officer then turned his attention to Reeva and the group.

"And who might you be?" the policeman asked.

"I’m Penu Koshav, and this is my sister and my maid," Reeva introduced them one by one.

"Koshav... The burger man? Nice to et you, I’m Officer Jason Ridly. Big fan of your burgers—always have my junior line up to get one every other day. What brings you here?"

"I happen to have a connection with one of your suspects nad Holen. I’m here to bail him out."

"That rascal has a connection with you?" the policeman said, surprised by Reeva’s words. "Never thought he’d have a rising star as his connection."

"Could you release him?"

"We were going to do that anyway, but we need to interrogate him on sothing first. It’ll take about two hours. Just wait here if you want," the policeman said, leading them to a bench near the front of an interrogation room. Reeva and Theia sat down.

"What is this all about?" Reeva asked again, trying to gather more information.

The policeman looked at Reeva, deciding whether to share or not. Ultimately, he decided that telling Reeva would be beneficial.

"Well, it’s an open secret right now, but the church isn’t in a good state. I’m sure you can tell from how we’re operating. So, we’re gathering every bit of information we can to see how we can help."

The policeman pulled out a paper with a picture of a gun on it and handed it to Reeva. Reeva’s hand felt slightly sweaty as he received the paper.

"If you see this object, imdiately report it to the police or the church. I’m sure soone of your status knows about cursed objects that the church often handles. This is one of them."

"Do you know what this is?" Reeva asked, curious about the policeman’s stance on the item.

"Nope, and you wouldn’t want to know either. If you co across such an item, hand it over to the church, or they’ll execute you."

Reeva looked at the paper for a long ti before putting it inside his suit.

"I’ll keep an eye out for such an item."

The policeman smiled. "Thank you."

After that, they made so small talk, but soon the entire corridor fell silent as they waited for Holen to finish his interrogation.

An hour later, the door to the interrogation room finally opened. A policeman stepped out, nodding at the officer next to Reeva.

"Looks like we got sothing. I’ll leave you with Holen."

With that, the big policeman walked off, following the one who had just left the interrogation room.

Another figure erged from the room—Holen, looking a bit rougher than usual. Upon seeing Reeva, Holen cracked a smile.

"Never thought you folks would co for . This best detective is very pleased."

"I ca to catch up on the information. Do you have anything? What did they talk to you about in there?" Reeva asked, eyeing Holen.

The best detective couldn’t help but smile at Reeva’s eagerness.

"I got a tip... But I want to hear your side first."

Reeva recounted the interactions they had with the jewelry lady and Hinly, ntioning that Hinly had agreed to help and share what he had learned from the lady. Reeva also showed Holen the invitations from both the lady and the rchant.

"You can trust Hinly. From my experience, he’s not a bad guy—just an honest man with so influence. And with these invitations, we might finally get into the cult."

"What do you an?" Reeva asked, unsure of what Holen had in mind.

"I couldn’t get in touch with the current Mayor, but I managed to reach the farmland owner. He’s from the eastern sea and the person who drove Riche out of Tumidus in the first place. If anyone, Riche would want to get back at him the most."

"Did he kill the farmland owner?" Theia asked.

"No, silly. How could I et him if he were dead? He’s still alive, but... You need to see it for yourself." Holen’s voice was complicated, a mix of pity and confusion.

"Why were you in the police station?" Reeva inquired.

"Nothing much. This best detective was just organizing his files when—bang! They barged in like true barbarians and arrested . Thankfully, they had no evidence of committing any cris—just so association with a murder case. Do you happen to know anything about that?" Holen cat a side glace at Reeva, who prmtly answer.

"Well, I figured you could handle this much since you’re the best detective, right?" Reeva smiled. "The mystic corpse is rather hard to clean up, after all."
