Hilda didn’t answer the doctor’s question and continued to look at him. She didn’t even know what she was thinking. The guy who had been burned into her brain as a mass murderer. To this day, the sight of The doctor killing her parents amidst the screaming and burning house is a core mory of hers.
So she trained her whole life when he got adopted into the Antores household, she had dread of the day that they killed this guy. However, when he finally found him, she discovered that the guy hadn’t aged a day. Waoree, no matter what she did, she couldn’t kill him.
Poison, knife, pain old punching, nothing worked against the doctor. He didn’t lie when he said he was immortal with no way to kill him. It filled her heart with emptiness, it felt like she trained all her life for nothing.
"What so poison?"
"Poison?" Hilda made a face that said ’Are you dumb?’
"HAHaH" The man laughed, "I’m talking about one of these"
The doctor showed Hilda a bottle of Beer, it was a little dirty from all the commotion but the contents inside were still brand new.
"Where did you get this?"
When they were traveling, the doctor had his bag that contained much of his dicine and stuff. However, when they got thrown in jail, the bag was confiscated.
"That guy over there gave it to , it’s pretty good for a tribe"
The doctor pointed at a guy lying down with dangade all over his body. The guy waved back at him smiling.
"I don’t drink on the job"
"Are you on a cover mission? I don’t see any master around here, maid."
"My job here was to kill you, it’s assigned by myself," She said with a dead pain expression, almost making the doctor choke to death.
"Good luck with that then"
"Sure"
The more she talked with him, the more she couldn’t get a read on him. They go around treating more people and Hilda even helped out a bit when the doctor wanted so healing item to stabilize people’s condition. It was an oddly peaceful ti.
"Keeping an eye on him?"
A voice sounded from behind after, the doctor was done with the patient. Approaching them was the tall figure of a reliable man, Egul the axe raider. Behind him was a similar figure but that of a female, she was a bit smaller than Egull but not by much.
"Yes, and...."
"That’s my cute and lovely wife Cindy... OW what did I do wrong!"
"The strongest wife" She lightly tapped on him.
"This is my strongest wife Cindy! Ow!"
"If I’m the strongest then there may be soone other than ! Are you hiding sothing?"
"Wify that’s your word, not mine!"
"Doesn’t matter, today I’m gonna teach you a lesson."
Hilda smiled looking at the couple.
"He was trying to buy when we first t too"
"Is that true?" Cindy turned and looked at Egul harder than before, her hand ready to throw a punch.
"Why did you say that!" He turned to Hilda like he was about to cry "She misinterpreted my words wife I didn’t do anything to her"
"I don’t care, I’m already jealous!"
She hit him a bit but ultimately didn’t cause any harm, both of them are 5th-circle mystic. They would need to go all out if they want to cause serious damage.
"May I have a second with you?"
Amidst the cheery atmosphere, the doctor chis in, instantly Hilda and Egul’s eyes fixed on him.
"What do you want?"
Egul tone changed from quite playful to a serious voice. If Hilda hadn’t been it herself, she would not believe it.
"I think I knew a way to stop the beast"
"Take your jest elsewhere" They had been traveling for a while now, but why did this guy suddenly say such a thing? Hilda quickly read into the situation and found out that this would be a pretty good ti to suggest it. The pressure on the village was bigger than ever before, with moster taking over.
If it had been another ti, people might not have taken his offer, simply because he was the one who proposed it.
"I’m not jesting, I said that I’ve encountered them before right, well turned out I’ve been developing sothing nasty for it. A poison that could kill it with you could be believed...."
Just after the doctor finished his sentence, the air felt heavy as Egul’s hand lifted up the doctor’s body by the neck.
"How do we make it?"
Egul asked
"I want sothing in return"
"You’re not in a position to bargain with ," Egul said with an aggressive tone, he was much more powerful than the doctor who was built like a normal person. And as Hilda has seen before, it wouldn’t be a match if they fought.
"I don’t care, just throw in jail and torture , see what happened"
The doctor said with a smile. So what if Egul could blow his head off in a second, he would still be alive.
"Who was this guy?" Cindy asked with a dissatisfied tone, no matter who they were, power was the universal language and to simply ignore the vast differnt in power was a foolish endeavor. At least that was her view.
"I’,m Athan, Mam"
A sword quickly stuck beside the guy’s head. It sunk deep into the wall.
"Don’t call Mam, I’m a worrier, not an Eyrish noble. Give u the cure before I kill you"
Athan suppressed his laugh and ignored Cindy.
"Egul, do you want it or not? If not going to tell you after this, even if you pour heel fire on ."
Bang!
Blood splattered on the wall and Athan’s head beca a waterlon. Cindy simply couldn’t care less about this guy anymore, first, he disrespected her, and the second ti he ignored her. It’ in thinkable that soone would disrespect her like that, if they do, they must have been wanting death. And she delivered.
Cindy looked at her husband, wanting to change the subject but upon seeing him, she frowned. It was not a reaction she expected, her husband should already release the corpse but he still held onto it. Hilda at the side also didn’t look relaxed.
"What’s going on...."
Her words stuck in her throat as he aw what happened next, the head that he popped earlier ford back into a man again.
