The woman wore a purple shirt with the sleeves rolled neatly up to her forearms. Her long sky-blue hair was tied into a neat bun.

Several loose strands frad her beautiful face. A black pencil skirt wrapped around her figure.

High heels made her appear even taller.

Around 183 centiters. Nearly the sa height as Noah.

The woman was none other than Morgana.

Their head instructor.

Noah imdiately walked toward her. "Hello, Instructor Morgana."

Hearing his voice, Morgana turned her head. Her calm athyst eyes t his. Her expression was relaxed.

The usual strictness she carried wasn’t present right now.

For Noah, Morgana was practically a hero. He still rembered the day she had saved him when several main characters had been chasing him down.

He genuinely respected her. And Morgana could easily see that admiration in his eyes.

"Noah?"

She looked at him calm expression.

"Going to the training ground, I assu?"

Noah nodded. "Yes."

His expression turned serious. "I need to practice as much as possible for the upcoming exam."

Morgana nodded approvingly. "Good. Your progress has been remarkable among all students in our class."

Her gaze remained steady. "I have high expectations from you."

Noah smiled softly. "I am very glad to hear that."

Then he added, "I’ll do my best to rank within the Top Ten."

"Haha." Morgana chuckled lightly.

"I like your confidence."

A small smile appeared on her face.

"And your dedication."

Then she added, "You’re nothing like what others say."

Noah felt strangely happy hearing those words.

"Hm, Instructor."

He tilted his head "What were you doing here?"

"Nothing."

Morgana looked out the window. A tired look briefly crossed her face.

"I was working for long."

She sighed softly.

"So I decided to get so fresh air."

Noah nodded. "Oh. As expected."

A smile appeared on his face. "You really work hard."

His voice was sincere. "You are amazing."

Morgana raised one eyebrow. Amusent flashed in her eyes. She was famous for being ruthless and brutal.

Most students showed fear toward her.

Yet this student continued showering her with complints any ti he get chance.

Even her disciple, Damien sotis cursed her training thods. Never trying to complint her so much.

anwhile Noah only ever said good things.

She had personally beaten him during training many tis.

Yet sohow he still admired her. "Hey."

A faint smile appeared on her lips. "Complints won’t get you anywhere with ."

Noah laughed. "Hahaha. I know."

Then his expression beca genuine.

"But Instructor, I’m honestly happy that you’re our head instructor."

His eyes carried respect.

"I like your strictness. I like your ruthlessness. Those things help students grow stronger faster."

Then he shrugged. "So I’m just being honest."

"Oh boy..." For the first ti, Morgana’s smile beca softer one.

Then she narrowed her eyes. "What do you want?"

Her expression turned suspicious. "You’ve been talking far too nicely and sweet."

She crossed her arms. "I can’t help but think you want sothing."

"No!"

Noah imdiately denied it. "Absolutely not."

Then he paused. "But..."

A sheepish smile appeared on his face. "If you insist on thinking that way..."

He scratched his cheek. "I was hoping you could train more."

Morgana blinked. "Now that was unexpected, Noah. You also had ask this before. "

She stared at him for several monts. Then she thought about it. Finally, she nodded.

"Okay. You can co to the training grounds around five in the evening."

She continued calmly."I teach Damien at that ti.You can join with him."

Noah’s eyes brightened. "Oh?"

A huge smile appeared on his face. "Thank you!"

Then he added enthusiastically, "You’re the best instructor."

"Hmm." Morgana returned to her usual calm expression.

"You really do talk too sweet."

Noah simply nodded. Then another thought appeared in his mind.

"Instructor."

He straightened.

"Could you have a small session with right now?"

His eyes shone with anticipation. "I’d like you to see my progress."

Morgana considered it. After a mont, she nodded.

"I have so free ti."

She pushed herself away from the window.

"I can help you."

Then she turned around.

"Let’s go."

Without waiting, she started walking toward the training grounds.

Noah imdiately followed after her. While doing his absolute best not to look at her swaying hips.

---

The training hall echoed with the sounds of clashing steel.

Clang!

Clang!

Clang!

Noah’s sword collided against Morgana’s wooden training blade again and again. Each impact sent vibrations through his arms.

His breathing had long beco ragged.

Sweat soaked his clothes.

His muscles burned from exhaustion.

Yet he continued attacking.

Morgana stood across from him with her usual calm expression. Despite sparring with him for quite a while, not a single drop of sweat could be seen on her forehead.

The difference between them was simply too great.

Clang!

Noah swung again.

Morgana casually redirected the attack and tapped his shoulder with her blade.

A clean hit.

Noah staggered backward before finally losing balance.

Thud!

He fell onto the floor while gripping his sword tightly.

"Hah... hah..."

His chest rose and fell heavily. Morgana looked down at him with her arms folded.

For a mont she remained silent before speaking.

"Is this enough for today?"

Noah wiped the sweat from his forehead and shook his head.

"Yes... it is. Thank you for your help."

She nodded.

"No need to thank. You really improve. I will go now then."

"Yes Instructor."

Morgana left Noah behind.

When she step out of the training hall.

Her eyes narrowed with interest.

Just now she clearly felt it while fighting him.

Noah was at awakened core, high stage.

Before the incident that happened in forest of Oakhaven city. She had notice it that Noah was at awakened core, low stage.

But suddnely he crossed two sub ranks withing month.

That was very unusual.

She could accept that a perosn crossing one sub rank within month. Like Damien. But two?

This really made her surprised.

"Let’s see how good he does in exam." She muttered with curiosity.

---

anwhile Noah slowly stood up. His legs felt heavy. His arms trembled slightly from fatigue.

Even so, he tightened his grip around the sword.

He now wanted to try his new second form of blade art that he has been training for three months.

This was the second form of the Frozen Lotus Blade Art.

[Second Petal – Still Surface Cut]

His proficiency was still low at this.

Around thirty percent. He closed his eyes. The noisy training hall seed to fade away.

His breathing gradually slowed.

There was exhaustion and there was excitent. The desire perford as good as possible.

Then everything disappeared. One by one, his emotions sank into stillness.

There was silence. Only the sword remained. Only the path of the blade existed.

Noah’s eyes narrowed slightly. The atmosphere around him changed. It beca more cold.

He was calm. He was Still. Like the surface of a frozen lake.

Noah slowly opened his eyes. There was no emotion inside them.

Right now he was emotionless.

There was only focus. Then he moved.

Slash!

The sword cut through the air in a simple horizontal strike. The movent looked ordinary.

Almost disappointingly simple.

Yet the instant the blade completed its motion. A distortion rippled through the air.

A thin white line appeared for the a mont.

Shhhh!

An invisible slash shot forward. The compressed freezing force traveled across the hall and struck a training dummy positioned nearly twenty ters away.

For a second nothing happened.

Crack.

A deep cut suddenly opened across the dummy. Frost rapidly spread from the wound.

Ice crawled over the wooden surface.

Crack!

Crack!

The entire upper half of the dummy beca frozen.

A mont later it split apart cleanly. The top section slid from the lower half and crashed onto the floor.

Boom!

Silence filled the hall.
