Extra's POV: My Obsessive Villainous Fiancee Is The Game's Final Boss Chapter 89: Gamechanger
Thorn blew out a breath. "It's ti, isn't it?"
Ren nodded. "It is ti."
"Ti for what?" Elias piped up, breaking their exchange of nods.
Ren sighed, adjusting himself as he sat at the edge of his bed. "I already had plans to contact Anders Vermilion during the king's tournant. I'll have to contact him now for Lilith. So, my plan to raise an army is shot to hell."
"Raise an army?" Elias' eyes widened. "For what?"
"To fight barbarians. It's a whole thing. Don't worry about it." Thorn waved away his words. He turned to Ren. "So, instead of raising the army, we'll be presenting a deal to release Lilith."
"Yes." Ren answered. "But this deal will be harder. Raising an army would've been mutually beneficial for us both. By fighting the barbarians, he would have an army loyal to him and spread his na and battle prowess far and wide."
"But now, I'm negotiating to have Lilith's charges dropped and that would be beneficial for just . So, this ti, I'll be paying a higher price."
"What about the king's tournant?" Thorn crossed his arms. "Are we abandoning that?"
"The king's tournant?" Ren raised both brows. "Fuck that shit. We already have the reward from beating Vesper. That's already enough to please my father. As for the Rank 5 artifact, it's not as important as Lilith."
"We might have to use the winnings to pay for Lilith's release." Elias said. "Prince Anders is the one in charge of collecting it for us. So, he knows we have the money."
"Then so be it." Ren nodded decisively. "I want both of you to head to the palace. Prince Anders is already holding our winnings, so that should be enough for you to get access to his people. Use it to set up a eting between us. There, I'll propose a deal to free Lilith."
Thorn stared at him in concern. "Are you sure? You're weak. One of us should stay with you. What if the assassin cos back?"
"Trust , Thorn." Ren said through gritted teeth. "The assassin won't be coming back."
He wasn't the original target anyways. That was Lilith. He'd just been collateral damage.
His mind moved to Fuchsia. Kingpin had gone through with the assassination, even with his Swordsn gone. Ren clenched his fists at his sides. No matter what happens, I'll make him pay!
"Alright." Thorn said, nodding with a sigh. "We'll go right now and set up a eting for the morning. It might be the middle of the night but I doubt the palace wouldn't have officials for this kind of thing awake right now."
Ren sighed tiredly. He raised a hand, waving it weakly at them. "Go."
With a final nod, Thorn and Elias left the room.
Ren exhaled, holding his head with his hands. This wasn't how things were supposed to go.
He was supposed to win the tournant, strike a deal with the Penny Prince, and go back ho with both money and an army. It would've been glorious.
But Fuchsia ruined everything.
The bedpost creaked under his arms and he quickly released it, glancing down. He'd almost forgotten that his strength was now different. Whatever Lilith had done to his soul had changed him. What could it an?
That was when he noticed the translucent blue boxes waiting for his approval. The mont he noticed them at the back of his mind, they flickered into existence in front of him, bringing the ssages of his Divine Gift.
[Level Up: Death Lvl Max.]
[Achievent Acquired: Unfettered by Death.]
What the fuck?
He stared at the box with wide eyes. He could level up death?!
His eyes moved to the second line. He was now unfettered by death. That had to an that he was now immortal.
He blew out a breath, staring at the box for a few more seconds before waving it away. The second notification appeared.
[Level Up: Physicality Lvl Max.]
[Achievent Acquired: Physicality Unfettered.]
At this point, he wasn't even surprised. This must be the reason why he was able to shatter the chair just by holding it too tight. Whatever Lilith had done to bring him back, it had worked with Unfettered Enhancent and this was one of the results.
He'd have to quickly get a new handle on his new strength. He wouldn't want to crush soone by accident.
He waved away the ssage to see another one congratulating him for leveling up his physicality control by a few levels. He chuckled to himself. No wonder I didn't crush Lilith by hugging her.
Unfettered Enhancent had been working in the background, helping him control himself. So, he wouldn't have to worry about that. With the rate of his growth, he should be perfectly in control by morning.
He waved away the notification to be t by sothing that made his eyes bulge in shock.
[Error Detected.]
[Bloodbinding Connection Error.]
[Salvaging.]
[New Connection Found.]
[Soulbinding Created.]
He stared at the translucent blue box, shock and realization brewing into a soup of emotions inside him.
What the fuck?
This would explain why he'd found it hard to manipulate his blood. He no longer needed blood to use his powers. Neither his blood nor that of his enemies. He could only use soul energy now. Just like Lilith.
Wait. This would an that his blood still contained traces of soul energy and even better, he could always use Lilith as a battery to help charge himself.
Her Soul Dominion gave her an infinite amount of soul energy. As long as she was by his side, he would never run out of juice.
A dark grin ca on his face. He didn't know whether to thank or curse Fuchsia for this particular developnt.
Congratulations, Kingpin. You've just created the object of your own destruction.
Just by dying once, he'd increased his speed, strength and found a more efficient power source. All he needed to do was return to Lilith and she'd supply him with enough energy to dismantle Fuchsia on his own.
With all these enhancents, coupled with the fact that he could still control his Blood— no. Soulbinding equipnt, he should have no problem going toe to toe with a Rank 4 Knight. In fact, he was sure he'd be able to last against a Rank 5 Knight.
With a grin on his face, he activated the coin with Lilith and disappeared. Ti to grow stronger.
Bonus chapter for hitting 200 power stones. Cheers!
