Chapter 35: Missing
"This is amazing!" Sarah exclaid after a single bite of Mina's cooking.
"Hehe~" the elf scratched her cheek in embarassnt, "it's not that good y'know..."
"Are you kidding ? This is the best food I've ever eaten!" the blue haired girl continued.
"Thank you..."
"I'm jealous, I wish I could cook like that"
"You can always ask to teach you"
"Really?!"
"Of course"
I was watching the two girls talk to each other from the side while eating my own plate, I had to admit that Mina was indeed a good cook.
Four days left before the vacation, and I was more excited then ever before, I an I could go discover all the different places and cool stuff I read about inside of the novel and experience them myself, this is great, no fighting, no death, no anger ter!
Oh boy, was I wrong.

The first three days went normally as you would expect them to.
We had ordered a new door for our dorm and it ca by surprinsigly quickly so we had already set it up by Tuesday, leaving the poor Sarah alone again, we promised her that we would co visit often.
But on Wednesday, Mina received an anonymous call she told she needed to take, and I just shrugged it off as it wasn't related to the novel events.
But when she ca back, she looked extrely sad.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"N-nothing..." she answered suspiciously, but didn't want to tell anything no matter how many tis I bugged her to.
"Maybe sothing happened to her family?" I reassured myself with such thoughts to justify her change of behavior.
During the enterity of Thursday she spoke less and her eyes looked soulless, but I ignored it.
During the night, I could hear her sob when she thought I was asleep, but I ignored it.
When it was Friday and her attitude didn't change, I ignored it.
I noticed that she was looking at more and more and that her lips were trembling as if she wanted to tell sothing important, but I still ignored it.
"What should we do tomorrow?" I asked after the day passed and we were about to go to sleep, "I an we can do what we want for two weeks so let's have fun!"
"I'm sorry..." she mumbled.
"What?" but it wasn't loud enough for to hear.
"Oh... nothing... well, goodnight Kaine."
"Goodnight."

I woke up early in the morning and got ready to go sowhere exciting for the first ti since I was transported to this world, but when I turned around to wake Mina up, I noticed that she was gone.
"Huh?" I was confused, where did she go?
I got up and walked towards the bathroom to see if she was there, but it was empty.
"Where is she?" I wondered.
I walked back into the room and looked around, yet I couldn't find any trace of her.
But it was then that I saw it: there was a note on her bed with a weird symbol at the bottom.
[Anger ter: 26/100]
I grabbed the note with a blank expression on my face and read it.
[Hello, Kaine
I am Julius Silvermoon, the head of the Silvermoon Household, and I have been notified that my daughter has been hanging out with a... human like you.
Upon further inspection we decided to take her away in order to keep our pure bloodline going.
I hope you do not mind our family quarrels.
Signed - Julius]
When I finished reading the paper, I couldn't help but just stare at it blankly with absolutely no reaction.
"Hahahaaha..." I laughed, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
[Anger ter: 86/100]
I didn't feel angry in the slightest, these people weren't even worth showing them my anger, all I could do was smile.
"Hahahaha, don't worry Julius, I'll be there to make you regret that decision"
In the original novel, such an event never occurred as Daemon not only was from the demon race, which they also considered pure for so reason, but he was also imnsely strong, strong enough for them to accept him even though he was known as a human.
But ...? They probably didn't consider as worthy I guess.
The first thing I did after reading that letter was rush to my notebook to write any bit of information I needed.
[Skill: Extra's Knowledge, activated]
The author had already described the location of the Silvermoon household once in his novel to show who they were, but I never expected I would need to go there myself to beat their ass...
It was supposed to be my vacation yet here I was going on another mission, and a one way more deadly then the minotaur.
"Okay, this should be it" I mumbled after a while, I know I should be fast in such situations, but honestly, an hour or two won't make too much of a difference.
The fact she wasn't here in the morning ant she went with them in the middle of the night.
The Silvermoon family was filthy rich and had in their possession jets powered by magic.
If I wanted to go to their household it would probably take more than four days in a car or a train because of how big the continent was, while it would take them around five hours.
Plus I had no money, I would need to find a way to earn so with no outside help, and quick.
And of course, what better thod is there to earn money than the black market and scamming.
Of course, it's immoral, but does it really matter in such a situation?
I grabbed my backpack and put everything in it that I needed: my phone, so snacks and around 300$.
Was this all I needed to reach the Silvermoon household in two weeks? Probably not, but it doesn't an I shouldn't try.
"Well then, let's go" I said as I exited the dorm.
"Wait, where are you going?"
I turned around to see Sarah standing behind , she must have seen leave.
"To save Mina" I answered frankly, there was no need to hide the truth as it would co out eventually.
"W-what? What do you an?" she asked, confused.
"She was kidnapped by her family" I explained, "and I'm going to get her back."
"Kidnapped?! How?!"
"They left a letter to explain the situation on her bed, you can go read it" I waved my hand, "but for now, I need to go."
"Wait!" she stopped , "let co with you, I want to help."
"No, it's too dangerous" I refused.
"Please-"
"You're too precious to for you to risk it, please stay here" I said while patting her head.
"..." she was severely blushing, "f-fine, but you better co back with her or i'm gonna kill you!"
"I didn't plan it any other away" I smirked and walked away.
"Good luck!" she shouted as I disappeared from her sight.
"Thanks!"
And thus, I started my journey to rescue Mina.
I hadn't expected it to be so difficult though.
