’!?’

Kyle’s eyes widened as the realization struck him deep in his heart. For a mont, everything went blank—he couldn’t comprehend what was happening to her. Or rather, he didn’t want to accept it. She had fallen into Qi deviation.

[Host, due to an excessive amount of Qi circulating within her body in an unstable state, it is scattering. Her technique to stabilize it is too slow compared to the sheer amount of Qi within her.]

’Why didn’t you tell earlier!?’ Kyle’s frustration flared, though he knew the system wasn’t to bla. It was still unfamiliar with this world’s power system, just as he was. But even understanding that didn’t stop the panic rising inside him. Without wasting another second, he lunged toward Aleriana, desperate to help.

[I am sorry, Host.]

’No, wait, wait!’ He halted abruptly, his hand freezing just before it could touch her face. Then, with a sharp inhale, he pulled back.

Rushing in blindly would only make things worse. She was focusing on stabilizing her Qi—his panic would only distract her. Exhaling slowly, he forced himself to stay still, realizing that losing his composure wouldn’t solve anything.

Last night had been filled with nothing but one shock after another. His emotions had been thrown into turmoil, and now, seeing her condition worsen because of him, a heavy sense of guilt took over. He clenched his fists, steadying himself as he simply stood there, watching her.

Dark, vine-like marks crept along her skin, slowly spreading as if waves of corruption were swallowing her body. Thick droplets of blood oozed from her pores, not flowing freely but dripping sluggishly. It wasn’t continuous yet, aning her condition was only beginning to deteriorate.

’!’

’System, reset her condition—NOW!’

Suddenly, Kyle rembered one of his domain’s abilities—he had the power to reset the body conditions of those connected to him. His wives, his children, or even those who carried a part of the power he had bestowed.

Holding onto that clarity, he gave the order without hesitation.

[Host, resetting her condition will erase the excess unabsorbed Qi—75% of what you bestowed upon her. Do you still wish to proceed?]

’…What?’ Kyle’s breath hitched. The realization stung. Out of the 600 years’ worth of cultivation he had granted her, the unstable Qi would be erased. It was a devastating loss. He knew exactly how precious that power was.

But looking at her suffering, the hesitation lasted only a second before he made his decision.

’Just do it!’ he commanded firmly.

[Resetting the condi—]

’STOP!’

Before the system could activate the command, a blur shot into Kyle’s vision. A shadow, moving at such speed that even his enhanced senses caught only fragnts—silver hair, the flash of athyst eyes, and a familiar fragrance.

Olea.

"Hold on, Princess. I will help you," she said, kneeling behind Aleriana, who remained seated in the lotus position.

Kyle watched as Olea stretched out her hand and pressed it against Aleriana’s back. Her fingers trembled slightly, but her actions were decisive. Sothing about her presence in this mont made Kyle pause.

He could trust her.

Aleriana’s condition was severe, but not fatal—at least, not yet.

And given Olea’s clear alignnt with the Princess, their relationship was symbiotic. They needed each other to achieve their end goals.

Of course, trust wasn’t given easily, not when it ca to his wife’s life.

But Kyle knew Olea’s character. He understood her ambitions and her personality. And right now, that was enough to let her take control of the situation.

For now.

’What is the aning of this?!’

Olea’s athyst eyes glowed intensely as she focused on the ethereal body—the form beyond the physical, the essence that existed beneath the flesh.

What she saw made her breath hitch.

A staggering amount of internal energy, unlike anything she had ever witnessed, was concentrated in this single room.

It was so overwhelming that it was impossible to ignore.

She had pinpointed its source in an instant, following its chaotic pulse, and rushed here at full speed.

Now, standing before the Princess—who was clearly at the center of this overwhelming surge—she realized the dire truth.

Princess Aleriana was falling into Qi Deviation.

Qi Deviation was exactly as its na suggested—a terrifying condition where Qi strayed from its proper path, scattering uncontrollably throughout the body.

It was a poisoning of the internal system.

Qi was ant to flow from the dantian in carefully regulated amounts, nourishing the body gradually.

But an excessive surge like this? It could burn the ridians, rupture the organs, and even lead to death.

Olea’s sharp gaze traced the violent tremors within Aleriana’s ridians.

The energy was running rampant, threatening to destroy her from the inside.

But this didn’t make sense.

This was pure Qi, and in such an overwhelming quantity that even Olea struggled to fathom it.

The Princess was no ordinary cultivator—her precision and control over Qi were unmatched.

It was simply impossible for her to let unstable Qi accumulate in her body over ti, let alone allow it to spiral so wildly out of control.

This had happened suddenly.

Instantaneously.

It has to be.

Sothing was wrong.

"Ughh…!"

Gritting her teeth, Olea pressed her hand firmly against Aleriana’s back, shutting her eyes as she concentrated.

She had no ti to dwell on uncertainties—right now, stabilizing Aleriana’s Qi was the only priority.

The mont her own energy entered the Princess’s body, she felt it.

A raging storm of power. It was like trying to hold back a flood with nothing but bare hands.

Too much.

Beads of sweat ford on her forehead. The sheer volu of Qi within Aleriana was far beyond what Olea could handle alone.

It pressed against her, straining her own ridians as she struggled to suppress it.

But then—

Aleriana was fighting, too.

The Princess, despite her suffering, was actively working to regain control. And because of that, the weight beca just barely manageable.

"Hhaa..." Olea’s breath hitched, her chest rising and falling erratically as she forced herself to maintain control.

"Hhhgh…!" A strained groan left her lips as the sheer pressure of Aleriana’s Qi battered against her own.

The golden energy surged wildly, weaving through the Princess’s ridians like a beast thrashing in a cage, illuminating her veins beneath her pale skin in a pulsating glow.

If her condition was as such, the Princess herself would be in enormous pain, yet she seed to be clenching her jaws to suppress showing it externally for so reason, or maybe to soone.

Her fingers trembled against Aleriana’s back, feeling the feverish heat seeping into her palm.

"Hh.... Hha...." The Princess’s breath ca in ragged, shallow gasps, her body stiff with tension as she fought against the raging force within her.

Too much. Too fast. But there was no choice—they had to endure.

Olea gritted her teeth, suppressing the golden Qi within the princess’s body until she stabilized the smaller amount, and then Olea released it, repeating the sa cycle where she held it until the princess was done stabilizing a particular amount of it.

Hold—Wait—Push.

A delicate balance of restraint and release, matching the rhythm of Aleriana’s labored breathing technique for stabilizing the Qi in packets, one at a ti.

Aleriana’s body shuddered as the once-violent energy, though still heavy and turbulent, began to bend under her will.

The scorching heat slowly dulled, the golden glow dimming as the Qi sank back into her dantian, no longer rampaging but pulsing with subdued intensity.

It wasn’t perfect, and exhaustion weighed heavily on both of them, but at last, the storm was no longer uncontrolled.

"Huh?" Until Olea fell back with her hands loosening and looked towards the Princess, now calr and focused and then saw, no, felt the intense aura gushing out of her being far, no beyond anything she had ever seen.

It was 7th Layer for sure.
