’Progeny stone was at the end of the third row in a worn-torn book.’
While thinking about the exact address of that effect, I made my way towards those charts, arriving as I showed the plaque in my hand.
"You may enter."
Though they clearly ordered it, I didn’t move, considering I saw a teenage boy with a face of a girl of around 14-15 descending from the stairs.
Clearly, I guessed his identity at first glance—he was Alden Vandreat, son of the second queen whose na I forgot.
Literally, I rembered many characters’ nas, but being truthful and a reader, I forgot so who were lost in the background.
So, I can’t resolve the na of the second queen, but of course, I knew about her through her backstory.
She was one of those few individuals existing inside the royal family who used the forbidden thod of harvesting, using n as a furnace through a very different thod called sex.
Sothing which would naturally be unexpected, but even she got that technique from the third floor of this library.
It was clear that how much unethical techniques were still there.
Looking towards Alden, whose na I rembered was probably from the fact that he was one of the supporting characters who had a crush on Aleriana.
Of course, this sounds disgusting and ridiculous, considering he was having such secret feelings for his stepsister—not that it was unexpected from a son of a woman who randomly sleeps with so many n every day.
But it was shown how, unlike his earlier image, when the Princess ascended to the throne, he had supported her with inside intel.
And after being used for military gains and support from the aristocracy, he got killed at the hand of that sa Princess.
After all, that woman killed her husband.
Why the hell did this fool even think he had a chance instead of being just used one-sidedly like a tool?
Being a reader with this story already too big, I cannot recall each character’s na, but this one specifically was in my mory because every reader, including , used to think of him as the next lover of Aleriana given how he openly helped her with things.
Not that long, everyone realized that Princess Aleriana doesn’t have any interest in love and all when she brutally murdered this guy with her own hands in front of the Second Queen—revealing how she had intentionally kept using Alden to keep the second Queen in check who had fled to a neighboring kingdom.
He was nothing more than a pawn used and discarded, not that I had any sympathy considering I was very busy for that.
’Let’s just ignore him.’
Thinking that, I directly stepped on the stairs.
I just took two steps within before a voice ca from behind , more like a yell towards Alden.
"Prince, he is the fiancé of Princess Aleriana!"
’Fucker, are you a simp sidekick?’
Halting as I felt my mouth twitch, feeling such blatant idiotic action of not even hiding the fact that they were having ill thoughts towards , to even tell such unnecessary detail to this idiot.
"Stop."
’There he goes.’
Even before I could think of moving up, he placed a hand on my shoulder, considering this dear alignnt.
He was at the upper one enough to co to my height, halting before giving a side glance as if I had stolen sothing from him and got red-handed.
"So, you are that insolent illegitimate son of the Arcutus family."
’What with that redness in your eyes? You got pink eye, dude?’
Seeing his eyes visibly having a redness in the white part of it, I doubted that he might be really pissed off and angry for no reason while clearly trying to provoke .
"Yes, Prince Alden, I am that sa insolent."
’Now fuck off, kid.’
Already being frustrated due to seeing my luck ssing up since my arrival here by entangling with that unlucky arrogant reaper who first killed and now even beca the source of my death, I shrugged my shoulder, trying to remove his hand, which didn’t budge.
Leading my feet to halt, I really felt unable to move from that girlish-like grip.
He was a teenager; that’s why it appeared his hands were thin like so girl.
"How dare a bastard son dare to argue with , huh?"
Once again, with an unknown kind of arrogance, Alden urged his fingers to dig into my shoulder with force, clearly making feel too much pain.
As it appeared, my bones were not even able to withstand his hand’s force, even though they were clearly weak like twigs.
I hate this damn cultivation world—at least give strength to those with muscles.
"Prince, it hurts. Please leave."
I did not want to create hassle here with an arrogant child who was going through puberty, with that brain which was not even understanding that if he were to harm in the library with so many people who intentionally had told him about my identity, knowing his response would definitely lead to so consequences that could be used against him to stop him from ascending the throne.
Even I, who was not well aware of the politics of the royal family, could see what these people were intended to let happen here.
Thus, I felt smirks and chuckles around, clearly waiting for Alden to hit .
Soone who was right now about to marry Princess Aleriana and also was the son of a Duke, even though illegitimate.
One hit or a single punch from Alden would strip him of any future chances of getting support from the Arcutus family, who would have chosen him against Aleriana.
Given my stepmother would have made sure to choose the opposite side than the one I was in.
But, with this idiot’s action, it would be a taint on the image of the Arcutus family, making them choose so other candidate.
"Truth hurts; do you feel hurt hearing your mother was of unknown origin?"
’About as much as your mother felt counting n instead of sheep at night’
Alden again threw a punchline which didn’t sit well with and caused to realize that making him understand things was impossible.
I turned my gaze back towards the guards, one on the right, as both had their backs towards .
"As you can see, the Prince is not letting go up; is it not your duty to stop him?"
Of course, I knew it was not their duty, but still, I inquired to create a scene here considering how all these fools on the first floor residing in the royal circle needed to understand that coming in my way in the future would definitely not be good for them.
"It’s not our duty to protect just anyone unless they are from the royal family," I heard the guard loud and clear, where the chuckles and laughter increased even more.
As the guard clearly ant that if Alden hit , it would bring no problem to him.
But if I were to hit Alden, then they would take action against .
A clear one-sided justice which I expected from these morons, not even understanding they were right now touching Aleriana’s ego.
After all, what would one call this event?
Would they take my na? Or would they say Princess Aleriana’s husband was humiliated in the royal library?
At least if it was just , I could have forgiven them.
But knowing that woman’s personality, none of these people would going to have a good life.
So, to not let them suffer, I gave a simple freedom to them from the upcoming harsh life.
"Fine then, if you cannot do your duty properly, no need for your existence."
