As soon as the class was over, I packed my things and slowly made my way back to my dorm room.

Along the way, I quickly went over all the information the professor had covered in the lecture, comparing it to what I knew from playing the ga.

"It’s the sa..."

Fortunately, everything seed to line up.

Click...

Entering my room, I slumped onto the soft mattress I had cleaned thoroughly a few days ago and enjoyed the brief mont of peace.

Today was probably the worst day since I arrived at the Starfall Academy.

Not only was I exhausted, but I also accidentally garnered unnecessary attention from so war general.

It was like rolling a dice twice and having the worst possible outco each ti.

So might consider this as a good opportunity to make connections and beco popular, but I was having none of that.

The more I get in the spotlight the bigger the chance I’d be targeted by various villains or other powerful individuals. Hell, I might even garner envy from other students, which would create unnecessary trouble.

I didn’t need any of that.

All I wanted was to progress through the ga’s storyline and reach the good ending.

Being well-known or acclaid held little significance to in comparison.

Why risk your neck when you could just achieve your goals quietly?

"So easy to say..."

Rolling in the sheets, I sighed.

At the end of the day, it all cos down to strength.

The more power I had, the better chance I’d have at survival even when the chaos inevitably broke out around .

However, there were no imdiate shortcuts when it ca to gaining a plethora of power in this world.

Throughout the ga, players would just train, drink a potion from ti to ti and then... train again.

While it was a little boring, that was the most effective way to beco strong quickly.

At least in multiplayer.

In multiplayer servers resources were scarce and didn’t respawn, which ant that by the ti you joined the world there would be almost nothing to loot.

Fortunately, in this world, I was alone, which ant that there were countless resources spread out there, waiting to be claid.

While the main cast, following the ga’s original storyline, would stumble upon so of them, most would remain up for grabs.

That ant it was mine to take.

With these items, I could essentially catapult my strength to reach new heights. At least, artificially, but it would still do the trick.

One of these ’items’ was actually about to be sold in an auction this weekend.

The issue was that its price was... 4,000,000 gold.

Yeah, I didn’t have nearly enough funds to purchase it. Not even close!

But luckily, I did have a plan.

Ring... Ring... Ring...

"Hello, I’d like to apply for a loan."

I was going to commit fraud.

Okay, that’s not exactly true.

I was just going to use my future knowledge to buy stocks in a company that was about to experience a massive surge in its value.

It was a company that managed dungeons, called Fortune Inc.

The day after tomorrow Fortune Inc. will announce that they have acquired two S Grade Dungeons, which will cause their stock price to skyrocket.

If I were to put all my money into these stocks with the biggest leverage possible, I’d be able to afford the item I needed by the ti of the auction.

It was going to be a close call, but I was confident I could pull it off.

"Let’s get started then..."

***

A few days have passed since I’ve applied for a loan and invested all the funds into Fortune Inc. stocks.

[ Breaking news! Fortune Inc. acquires two S Grade Dungeons!... ]

[ Two new high grade dungeons discovered, what does this an for Fortune Inc?... ]

[ The world is shook by this new discovery!... ]

My phone was buzzing non-stop as news of Fortune Inc.’s acquisition began spreading like wildfire.

The stock price was rising rapidly and I could see my initial investnt doubling every few hours.

[ Bank Balance ]

Na: Ash Morningstar

Balance: 4,654,120 Gold

Staring at my phone’s screen, I tried to rub my eyes to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.

"It actually worked!"

I beca a multimillionaire in just a few days.

With this kind of capital, I could buy the item I wanted, pay back my loan and still have plenty of funds for my own personal use.

It was cool and all...

However, there was no ti to waste.

Since today was Friday, the auction was tomorrow and I needed to be prepared. I couldn’t show up looking like a broke student.

Without hesitation, I stood up, grabbed my Odachi from where it rested against the wall, snatched my keys and strode out of the dorm.

The city streets were alive with energy. Neon lights flickered across towering buildings and the air buzzed with the chatter of students, rchants and wandering adventurers. Normally, I preferred to keep a low profile, but tonight, I decided to indulge a little.

Instead of visiting the usual stores catered to students, I made my way toward one of the high-end boutiques known for crafting tailor-made attire.

Soon, I found myself standing in front of a relatively high-end store, its polished windows displaying mannequins dressed in sleek, tailored suits. The sign above the door read ’Eclipse Attire’ and from what I rembered from the ga, this place was known for its enchanted clothing.

It was perfect.

The bell above the door chid as I stepped inside.

The interior was dimly lit, with a sophisticated ambiance that scread luxury. A salesperson, dressed impeccably in a suit of their own, approached with a polite smile.

"Welco to Eclipse Attire. How may I assist you today?"

They asked with a tone that was smooth and professional.

"I need a suit."

I said, trying to sound as confident as possible.

"Sothing high-quality, with enchantnts. Preferably magic resistance and... self-cleaning, if you have it."

The salesperson’s eyes lit up and they nodded enthusiastically.

"Of course. Right this way."

They led to a section of the store where the suits were displayed like works of art. The salesperson pulled out a sleek, all-black suit and held it up for to inspect.

"This is our Shadoweave collection."

They explained.

"It’s made from a blend of enchanted fibers that provide moderate magic resistance. It also has a self-cleaning enchantnt, so you’ll never have to worry about stains or odors. Would you like to try it on?"

I nodded and they directed to a fitting room.

The suit fit like a glove, hugging my fra perfectly without restricting my movent. The fabric felt cool against my skin and I could sense the faint hum of magic emanating from it. I turned to look in the mirror and was surprised by how good I looked.

I looked like so high-class aristocrat, ready to attend a grand gala.

"I’ll take it."

I said, stepping out of the fitting room.

The salesperson bead.

"Excellent choice. Will you be needing anything else? Shoes, perhaps? A tie?"

I glanced down at my worn-out sneakers and realized they wouldn’t exactly complent the suit.

"Yeah, let’s do shoes too. And a tie."

Twenty minutes later, I walked out of Eclipse Attire with a full ensemble: the black Shadowweave suit, a pair of polished dress shoes and a sleek silver tie that added a touch of elegance.

The total cost was a hefty sum, but compared to the millions I now had, it was a drop in the bucket.

The city lights shimred as I made my way down the bustling street. The cool night air carried the scent of street food and the faint murmur of conversations from passersby.

Gurgle...

My stomach grumbled, reminding that I hadn’t eaten since morning.

With my newly acquired wealth, it only seed fair to treat myself to a proper al.

Spotting the first restaurant in sight, I stepped inside.

It was a quaint, elegant establishnt, not overly extravagant, but a step above the usual student-friendly eateries.

A well-dressed waiter greeted with a polite nod.

"Good evening, sir. Table for one?"

I nodded and he led to a table near the window.

I settled into my seat, picked up the nu and quickly placed an order for a hearty steak dish with a glass of water.

As I waited, my fingers idly drumd against the table. The suit was a good investnt, making sure I wouldn’t stand out as so random nobody. But the real question was would I be able to secure the item without interference?

There have already been so twists in the storyline of the ga, so perhaps the events I had prepared for would not go as smoothly as I expected.

Click...

My thoughts were interrupted as the restaurant door swung open and a hooded figure stepped inside. His entrance was quiet, unassuming. Yet sothing about his presence felt... off.

Then, as he approached the center of the room, his entire deanor shifted.

With an abrupt motion, he seized a wooden table and shoved it with alarming strength. The table screeched across the tiled floor, crashing against the entrance, blocking the doorway. Gasps of shock echoed throughout the room as heads turned toward the sudden commotion.

A thick silence fell over the restaurant as tension spiked.

"Long live the Demon Lords!"

The man bellowed, his voice thick with fervor.

Before anyone could react, he lunged at a waiter carrying a tray of steaming dishes. The tray clattered to the ground, sending plates and silverware scattering as food splattered across the floor.

He grabbed the young waiter by the collar, yanking him close, his wild eyes gleaming with twisted delight.

"Beg for rcy, human... Beg!"

My lips curled in disgust.

A Dark Magician.

How bad was my luck for a demon worshipper who had signed a contract with a demon to stumble into the restaurant I was dining in?

This had to be a joke by fate.

"BEG!!!"

The dark magician screeched, his voice shrill and distorted.

The waiter gasped, struggling to breathe as the worshipper tightened his grip. His mouth hung open, saliva dribbling down his chin onto the man’s hand.

"Disgusting!"

The worshipper snarled.

With a vicious movent, he flung the waiter into the air.

Before anyone could react, he twisted his body midair and drove his boot into the young man’s stomach. The impact sent the waiter crashing into a table, which shattered under the force, wooden splinters scattering across the floor.

The other patrons huddled near the corner of the room, fear etched into their faces. None of them seed to possess any mana, let alone the ability to fight back.

The worshipper’s dark gaze swept across the room before locking onto .

"You!"

He spat, his eyes narrowing as I remained seated with a calm and unreadable expression.

"Beg for rcy!"

He took a step forward, his mana flaring. But even then, I didn’t move an inch.

From the power he just displayed, I estimated him to be around level 25 or slightly higher than in raw attributes.

However, battles weren’t always decided by numbers.

If stats were everything, I would have been dead a long ti ago.

『 Shadow Step 』

In an instant, my figure blurred.

The candlelight flickered as I vanished from my seat, reappearing just behind the worshipper, my presence now looming over him.

"What-?"

A cold whisper reached his ear.

"Beg for yours instead."
