Clang—!
Before the sword reached his arm, it was imdiately repelled back by Alia's blade.
Sword fights.
It wasn't Brandon's forte.
Against a real swordsman, he stood no chance.
With such thoughts, Alia pushed Brandon away and took the lead of the fight.
Clang—! Clang—!
A flurry of strikes headed towards her. The man was extrely fast. Alia could only parry so much.
As soon as her blade t Lumian's, another attack would swing down towards her.
Bang!
With her left arm, she shot the gun down the ground. The sheer force rippled, and the two were instantly separated.
"Ah."
Too imrsed in the fight, she hadn't realized the grazes all over her body.
This man.
She couldn't picture herself winning at all.
His swings weren't too heavy. It was manageable. But his speed was astonishing.
Swoosh—!
At that mont, Lumian suddenly disappeared from her peripheral vision and a blade appeared before her.
Instantly swinging diagonally, she managed to repel the blade in the nick of ti.
Clang—!
Lumian leapt back.
All of a sudden, Lumian started swinging his blade in the air.
No.
As Alia narrowed her eyes and scanned, he seed to be cutting off threads.
There were no wasted movents at all. Each swing, a thread would imdiately dematerialize, and another thread would loom towards him.
With swift and agile movents, Lumian twisted his body and perfectly dodged the threads.
It was insane.
Even Alia couldn't see herself achieving the sa feat as him against Brandon's threads.
Seizing the opportunity, magic swords materialized and floated behind her.
Waving her hand down, the swords rained down towards Lumian as he fought off the threads.
Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh—!
But even her surprise attack proved futile as Lumian would instantly parry the blades away, all while dodging the looming threads.
Sorsaulting backwards, Lumian narrowly dodged the raining swords. He suddenly disappeared and the threads followed him.
With such ease, Lumian cut off each thread that headed towards him.
At this point, he was superhuman.
There was no winning this fight.
The only thing they could do was fight Lumian from a distance.
A closeup fight against him is impossible.
His swordsmanship was way above the Constantine's style.
All sorts of elents suddenly headed towards Lumian.
Ice spikes protruded from the ground and aid to encapsulate his leg.
But it was then.
Vooosh—!
Lumian impaled his sword down on the ground and purple flas enraptured the vicinity, instantly lting the ice.
The earth suddenly shook and two large boulders shot from the ground on both Lumian's sides.
The boulders locked themselves towards each other like magnets as Lumian stood right in the middle.
Swoosh—!
The boulders were suddenly minced into smithereens. Rock dust obscured where Lumian stood. Alia could only make out his purple silhouette.
But as soon as the boulders scattered like pebbles, swords rained down on Lumian.
Extending her hand forward, Alia pulled the trigger a significant amount of tis, desperate to at least get a hit.
But that was when Lumian bolted from his position. The swords shot down the ground hitting nothing.
With his sword swinging forward, Alia's mana bullets instantly dispersed as it t Lumian's blade each ti.
But it was then.
"Woa."
Lumian was suddenly hurled back. Scanning, threads seed to have attached themselves, piercing Lumian's calves as so threads wrapped around his entire leg.
With a fierce expression, Lumian cut the threads mid—flight, ignoring the threads that pierced his calves.
But it was then when he crashed towards a nearby tree.
With the opportunity right in front of them, Alia and Brandon kicked the ground.
Empowered by lightning, Brandon blinked forward, appearing before Lumian before Alia neared them.
Black flas wrapped around Brandon's entire figure.
No.
This…
This wasn't Brandon at all.
She didn't realize it as she was fully imrsed in the fight.
But this man.
It was Brandon.
But at the sa ti, it wasn't.
His previous pale—white hair had completely turned ink—black and his eyes were wide open.
His eyes.
They were ink—black as well, the sa color as his hair.
An Elental assimilation, perhaps.
But it was when Alia noticed the expression he was making.
He was smiling.
As if he was enjoying the fight.
A sudden chill ran down Alia's spine as the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end.
What the hell happened to Brandon in the five minutes she wasn't looking?
Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!
As his entire arm was wrapped in black flas, Brandon swung his fist down. But slumped down on the tree, Lumian's blade t his fist, parrying each flurry of attacks.
But the sheer force of Brandon's attack rippled the air and pushed Lumian back.
The root of the tree was pulled apart and the tree instantly tumbled down.
Boom—!
Brandon's fist swung down and Lumian imdiately blocked it with his blade. But the impact instantly hurled Lumian away.
Tzz—
Brandon imdiately gave chase.
Alia kicked the ground once again and joined Brandon.
As Brandon's fist swung down, Alia thrusted her sword on the narrow gap.
Swoosh—!
Lumian twisted his body sideways as he blocked Brandon's burning fist with his blade. Alia was able to damage him slightly as her blade lightly grazed his waist.
Insane.
This man was insane.
He was dealing with both of them, an A ranker and was able to match them.
It was then.
Lumian pressed his fingers.
"Zone."
***
The Primordials base.
Ciel stood by the window, taking in the beautiful sight of the moon.
"Lady Ciel."
A man's voice suddenly reached her ears.
She was well aware of the voice.
The Third Seat.
The man continued.
"Is it really different this ti?"
"It is, and it isn't, from what I know."
The reply she gave was based on the descriptions that Jin had told her.
"You could say it was just pushed ahead of schedule. But at the mont, things should still be the sa."
"Then…"
"But don't worry. Things are about to be interesting."
This mont.
Ciel could tell.
The to in front of her told her.
The to that told her of his fate.
Ciel turned around and their gazes t.
"As of this mont, nothing will be the sa."
"I see."
"And the to."
Ciel turned back around and looked at the to placed on the table in front of her.
It was gradually disintegrating.
That was the sign.
She had completely rewritten his fate.
No.
Her and Jin.
The man quickly left her room after that.
Ciel raised her head and looked at the moon once again.
"Jin, just hold on. Please. Keep it all together. Your sister won't let your efforts be in vain."
Their goal.
To break Brandon Locke.
To break his system.
And to fully unleash his Sovereign's Will.
Raven Blackheart was a failed attempt and Jin had already told her that.
The world's fate fell on this one singular anomaly.
The strongest Sovereign's Will known as Brandon Locke.
Break his system.
Break it.
It had to break.
It was the only thing holding the Sovereign's Will back.
The syndicate.
The invasion.
They didn't matter.
Not under the sheer force of the strongest Sovereign's Will.
