Barbatos’ Resonance changed.

It beca heavier.

He swung again.

Naless Death’s sword rose just in ti, but he was thrown back like a doll.

His body flipped through the air before smashing into a pillar.

Half of his body had been vaporized in a single hit.

Barbatos had his Resonance now.

And it wasn’t a cheap imitation.

Barbatos had duplicated the fusion of countless Concepts that made Resonance what it was.

Naless Death could feel it in the rhythm of Barbatos’ movents and the echo of energy still lingering in the air.

Barbatos was already the highest ranked person among the three of them.

Naless Death and Berserker had been fighting him with their own personal aces.

For Berserker, it was his ’identity’ as Supre of Void.

For Naless Death, it was Resonance.

Now, the Stage 5 Grim Reaper had Naless’ Resonance—the technique that allowed Naless Death, the weakest among the three, to fight alongside them.

It was clear to all three of them.

At this mont, Barbatos was the strongest.

Barbatos stood with three wings of shadow burning behind him.

His eyes scanned the battlefield calmly.

He turned toward Berserker and flew forward.

They clashed again, the air pulsing with every blow.

But now Barbatos wasn’t just holding his ground, he was forcing Berserker back.

The edge was his.

Berserker’s evolution couldn’t keep up.

Naless Death tried to rise again.

His body was a broken ss, but he was still regenerating.

"Hey, Berserker!" he shouted, blood trailing from his lips. "How about a truce?"

Berserker paused mid-swing.

He looked over his shoulder.

He knew exactly what Naless Death was suggesting.

Work together, take Barbatos down first, and settle things between the two of them afterward.

He laughed.

"A truce? Seriously?" he shouted back. "Now that things are finally getting good, you want to team up? No chance!"

He raised his fist, and sothing in the air changed.

Void and Chaos began to swirl around his arm.

The energy fused perfectly, vibrating at a terrifying frequency.

Naless Death recognized that technique.

He’s using his Resonance.

Barbatos moved imdiately, recognizing the danger.

His scythe rose, wings spread wide, and a barrier of shadows ford in front of him.

But it wasn’t enough.

Berserker roared and swung his fist forward.

A red beam exploded from his knuckles, filled with fusion of Chaos, and Void.

It was an attack crafted by a Supre who had mastered the Chaos and created the Void.

Barbatos was directly in its path.

Unfortunately, so was Naless Death.

Naless Death didn’t flinch.

He smiled.

Of course Berserker would do sothing like this.

It was exactly what he had hoped for.

He knew the man wouldn’t accept a truce.

By even suggesting one, Naless Death had provoked him, challenged his pride, and ensured that Berserker would throw everything he had at both of them.

That was the point.

He needed pressure.

He needed sothing to crush him.

Only then could he break past the wall blocking his Path.

Naless Death rose to his feet, lifting his sword with both hands.

His presence ignited, blazing with death.

The beam ca closer, ripping through the terrain, shattering everything in its path.

If I can’t block this, I’ll die.

But if I do block it—

I might finally see what’s beyond my limits.

He stepped forward, anchoring his feet into the cracked ground.

Resonance surged from him in waves, wrapping around his sword.

Nullhour.

All-Shadow.

Eternal Death.

World Ender Flas.

Ethereal World Devouring Roots.

Fragnts of the dead.

All the Concepts he had touched throughout his life flowed into the sword, fusing together, burning, and reshaping themselves.

The blade trembled.

The air around him twisted.

And yet... he knew.

It still wasn’t enough.

He couldn’t win with this.

But he didn’t stop.

He swung.

The mont his blade descended, the sky split.

Void crackled, chaos howled, and the ground ruptured beneath their feet.

His sword prepared to Berserker’s chaos-fueled punch, and for a brief second, ti itself seed to freeze.

But the one who stopped the blow wasn’t Naless Death.

Barbatos, who was being blown away by the beam, suddenly released ginormous pressure.

His scythe’s blade glowed a deep blood red.

He swung.

An explosion took place.

The blast tore through parts of his robe, revealing an endless shadow beneath.

White blood dripped from his broken bony fingers.

His arm trembled, and part of his body flickered unnaturally.

He had blocked the attack. But only barely.

Berserker whistled and lowered his hand.

"That was surprising. I didn’t think you had it in you to block an attack like that, especially one that ca out of nowhere."

He let out a rough laugh and cracked his knuckles.

"But I can do this all day."

He pulled his fist back again, energy building up around him.

Void and Chaos surged and began to rge.

Resonance wove it together.

It was the sa move. Despite using sothing so powerful once, Berserker wasn’t tired in the least.

Barbatos didn’t flinch, but his voice was calm. "I know."

"If you know, then you two should start fighting seriously." Berserker grinned.

Naless Death frowned at the wording.

Fight seriously?

What does he think I’m doing....

Naless Death froze.

He said ’you two.’ Did he and Barbatos.... or soone else

"Wait," he muttered. "Did he an and Barbatos... or soone else?"

A realization ca upon him.

Where is Zagreus?

At the sa ti, his Death began to warm him of an incoming danger.

The danger was far worse than the wings that allowed Barbatos to copy Naless Death’s Resonance.

Barbatos, anwhile, wiped the blood off his hand and faced Berserker again.

"So, you already knew about our plan."

"I did."

"....Your arrogance knows no bounds. What makes you think you can win? Even after all our preparations?"

Instead of answering, Berserker just grinned.

And then, the World shifted.

A new presence appeared in the battlefield.

Zagreus.

He simply walked into their battlefield through the boundary of the world. Barbatos, the owner of the World, allowed him the entry.

His gaze moved over Naless Death, then over Berserker.

There was no emotion in his eyes. Just calm coldness.

Then his attention landed on Barbatos.

"Good job holding the line until we were ready."

Barbatos bowed slightly.

Naless Death’s expression hardened.

That pressure...

Stage 5.

There was no doubt about it.

Did he borrow more strength from the demon?

A normal Stage 5 wasn’t enough to do anything in their current battle.

Even Barbatos hadn’t been enough until he copied Naless Death’s Resonance.

If all he did was increase his strength to Stage 5... then why is he so confident?
