Naless Death appeared on the Voraka Site. He could see Zagreus, Asmodea, and Leonora in the distance along with the demon.
He didn't approach him imdiately and instead turned to the gatekeeper of the Sacred Gate.
"Are you and the Shadow Supre of this Cosmos the sa people?"
"I apologize. I cannot answer that."
The shadowy being was not surprised Naless Death had deduced the truth. Since he was a Heavenbreaker he must've heard the demon and him talking.
"I see."
Naless Death returned to Zagreus and others.
"Welco back, bitch. I thought you died there." Zagreus grinned, and bumped his fist into Naless Death's shoulder.
Normally, Naless Death would've cursed back.
But he stayed still.
And.
He asked,
"Did you find the soul Berserker took?"
"…."
Zagreus' smile disappeared. He shook his head and clicked his tongue.
"We didn't. Barbatos is still searching throughout the planet for the [Life Fla], but we still don't know where the ant bastard took it."
Life Fla was what Zagreus called the broken piece of Persephone's soul.
"Anyway, what happened inside the Sacred Gate?"
"Nothing much."
Zagreus frowned when Naless Death dodged the question.
He wanted to argue, but sighed in the end.
"Well, we will talk later. First, we should prepare that Berserker. The hundred years he gave you will be finished in a few weeks. He is going to co.
"When he does co, we will capture him and force the location of the Life Fla from him," Zagreus said with clenched jaw.
"Are you sure Berserker will co? We outmatch him by a huge margin. Forget Berserker's current state, which I think will be Stage 4 Grade 4 Level 10 at best, even if he was Stage 4 Grade 1 Level 10, he wouldn't have been able to defeat .
"Even if he can defeat , there are two Grim Reapers with us."
Naless Death's words surprised Zagreus. He chuckled, since it was true.
After using his Darkness, Naless had reached Stage 4 Grade 1 Level 10. In other words, he was at the peak of Stage 4.
But he was not a normal peak Stage 4 God.
He had all 108 elents.
He had countless techniques, which made him incredibly versatile.
Lastly, [Core Creation].
It was the technique where Naless Death created multiple Cores, and activated them at once to increase his strength.
He could create nine Cores at his current level.
In other words, he could increase his power nine tis exponentially.
Moreover, being a Heavenbreaker, his energy was pure and his energy reserves were at the level of a Stage 5 being.
Naless Death was already this strong.
However….
'What happened inside the Sacred Gate?'
Zagreus couldn't help but take a second look at Naless Death.
'He was inside the Sacred Gate for a few decades only.'
'However, his whole presence and temperant has changed.'
'I can't even see how strong he is anymore.'
Naless Death always had a restless aura about him.
But his aura had beco calm, and deep like an ocean.
"To answer your question, the Berserker will co. He will never back down from a fight, even if he is the weaker one," Zagreus said.
"Then we should put so teleporters around the forest," Naless Death said.
"Why?" Zagreus questioned.
"There is a chance the ant would co with Berserker, and it might try to escape later when it starts losing against us.
"Even if the ant doesn't co, Berserker himself can try a hit-and-run practice. Since he knows the entire area, he might have a way to travel around quickly.
"The teleporters will help us catch him if he or the ant tries to escape," Naless Death explained.
"That's a good idea." Zagreus nodded. "Asmodea, you and your disciple will take the north and the east, Naless and I will take the south and west. We will et at this location again after five days when we have put the teleporters in key locations."
Zagreus quickly created a plan, and began to fine-tune it.
Since they already had teleporters around the jungle to help reduce their travel ti, this wouldn't take long.
Afterwards, Naless Death and Zagreus were left alone.
While walking with Zagreus, countless questions arose in Naless Death's mind.
'He really is my brother.' Naless Death was sure of it.
He could tell how much Zagreus cared about Life Fla, which was part of Persephone's soul.
And since Naless Death was Persephone's son, it made the relationship between Zagreus and Naless Death clear.
'I shouldn't tell him we are brothers.'
Naless Death had gained a sufficient understanding of Zagreus.
If Zagreus knew Naless Death was Neo, and that they needed to not breathe life into this planet to protect the Universe, then Zagreus would agree in a heartbeat.
He would do it because they were family.
And then he would fail his Shadow Trial.
'If he fails the Shadow Trial, he would be forever stuck in the Shadow Dinsion.'
'No, there is a chance the Shadow Supre would kill him for failing the trial.'
The Shadow Supre must have an idea of why the Sites were important.
Void Supre knew about it.
Water Supre ca to this place and acted nonchalant, so she must've known too.
If Naless Death had to guess, all Supres had knowledge about Sites.
So….
Why?
'Why did Shadow Supre give my brother the mission to save this Site?'
'What is his goal?'
Naless Death couldn't understand Shadow Supre's goal.
'I need to choose one.'
Either Naless Death chose the Universe and stopped Zagreus from completing his Trial.
Or, he would help his brother, and doom the universe.
The Universe, or his brother.
He had to choose one.
"What are you thinking about?" Zagreus asked as the demon was setting up a teleporter.
"I'm wondering…." Naless Death pursed his lips before he added, "What is your goal for this Shadow Trial? What will you ask the Supre if you can complete the Trial?"
"My wish, huh."
Naless Death asked this question for a simple reason.
It might give him so clues about how to proceed.
"It's to remove my bloodline curse, or to uplift a part of it at least."
"What?"
"To be exact, I want to make sure all of my next siblings can awaken their bloodline at least."
Naless Death blinked.
He suddenly had an ominous premonition.
Zagreus, unaware of Naless Death's thoughts, continued,
"My bloodline's first skill is Death. The only way to train the skill is to kill ourselves, but if we kill ourselves, then that's the end.
"We can attempt resurrection of course, but it's near impossible to do. There are too many rules and the Underworld wouldn't allow a resurrection easily.
"So, I will ask Shadow Supre to create a 'ritual', and make sure that all of the descendants of Monarch of Death sohow will gain the knowledge of this ritual.
"By using this ritual, they can strike the deal with Grim Reapers of the Underworld and resurrect," Zagreus explained.
Naless Death was frozen.
He had no mories.
But.
He knew he must've trained his skill of Monarch of Death bloodline – Skill Death – to rank up.
He must've killed himself multiple tis and resurrected.
How did he do it?
How did the Underworld of his planet let him resurrect himself multiple tis?
'Zagreus succeeded the trial.'
The conclusion was easy.
'He struck a deal with Shadow Supre.'
But…
'The Universe will end as soon as that happens.'
Naless Death suddenly had a question. Would the end of Universe erase the past too?
If no, then that would explain how Zagreus had succeeded and the universe was still going on. The Universe will end for Naless Death, but for Zagreus who would go to the past, the Universe will continue living.
If the past was erased when the Universe ended, then…
'That ans I sohow found a way to save both.'
Naless Death clenched his fist.
His assumptions could be wrong.
But.
He had finally found it.
Hope.
To save his family, and their future.
