Naless Death looked around the place.

The more he saw, the more confused he beca.

Each room was locked from inside. He tried to go inside, but a force of repulsion threw him back.

"What…?"

Naless Death tried to enter the locked rooms again.

"I can't enter these rooms."

That simply ant one thing. The law dictating this 'place' was so powerful that even he, with an astral projection body, couldn't go everywhere he wished.

"What a strange place."

This confird a few things.

END was important to him— to Neo.

The value he gave to END ant that this Cosmos treated it with the highest value.

It was creating and strengthening END before anything else, as such it had surpassed what Naless Death could access with his current body.

"I should look around. Maybe I will find so clues."

He flew through the corridors for several days. Each corridor seed to stretch into infinity, and at equal intervals — roughly 15 minutes distance at his current speed — a horizontal and a vertical corridor would intersect.

It was only after a month of search that he finally encountered an open room.

This ti, he was able to enter it easily.

"Why is this room different?"

He saw a being wearing a shadowy cloak. Peeking inside the cloak, all he saw was darkness.

"This guy has no physical body."

"Hmm, given the place and his looks, he must be a Grim Reaper."

The Grim Reaper stayed motionless for the weeks that Naless Death observed him.

The discovery led him to think that Grim Reapers here were natural phenona like the flow of air, or rising of the sun instead of beings with will.

"When will this guy move?"

Naless Death continued his observation. It took roughly 43 days before the Grim Reaper suddenly moved.

Its body twitched and it stood up.

Then, it opened a door.

A man wearing white clothes was on the ground on all fours.

"W-what is happening here? I was sure I died and then- urk!!!" The man's face twisted in pain. He shouted.

It took him several minutes to calm down. By the ti it happened, he was panting heavily.

"I… who am I?" the man muttered. "I don't rember anything."

"Welco, O Young One." The Grim Reaper finally spoke.

The man raised his head to look at him. Despite seeing such an otherworldly being, the man was not feeling afraid due to unknown reasons.

"Who are you?"

"Your guide," the Grim Reaper said. "Now, please follow us."

The man entered the room at the Grim Reaper's instruction.

He sat on the bed.

Afterwards, the Grim Reaper explained that the man was chosen to be a Grim Reaper — a Judge of the Dead.

However, before he could be given a powerful ability to match that status, he had to undergo a test.

"A test?"

"Worry not, O Young One. It is but a simple test. We shall judge your Judgnt. A fair Judgnt will make you our brother. However, a wrong one and you shall be sent to the pits of hell."

"W-what?! I will be sent to Hell?"

"Indeed," the Grim Reaper said calmly. "The decision you make will determine the Judgnt of a soul. This might be a simple test for you, but for that soul, it would be the difference of going to hell or heaven.

"So if you make a wrong Judgnt, you shall pay the price for it," explained the Grim Reaper.

"Then, I don't want to be a Grim Reaper!" the man shouted.

"I apologize, but you do not have a choice. You stepped inside the room and now, you must take the test."

"Screw you!"

The man tried to escape, but it was futile.

After he was exhausted from throwing a fit and trying to attack the Grim Reaper, he lost consciousness.

"Sleep well, O Young One."

The last thing he heard was the voice of the Grim Reaper.

The room's insides changed, showing a vast world to Naless Death and the Grim Reaper.

They could see the man's spirit floating before them, and it seed the man could see the Grim Reaper.

"Watch properly, O Young One. For this is the life you have to judge," the Grim Reaper said.

The surroundings played the life of a young bandit. His parents were killed by the bandits when he was a newborn.

The bandit leader took a pity on the newborn and raised him as his child.

Decades passed. The newborn grew, and beca the next leader of bandits after his 'father' passed the position to him.

The new bandit leader grew the size of his group. They beca a large raider group that pillaged villages, and even threatened the smaller cities.

In the end, they died at the hands of the young knight who was sent by the king.

The mory took decades to end.

Finally, the man woke up. He remained lying on the bed, and he no longer thrashed around or cursed.

"Have you decided on your Judgnt, O Young One?" the Grim Reaper asked.

The man remained lying on the bed. He stared at the ceiling. The life of the bandit leader had shaken him to the core.

"Was the man evil? Or was he good and pure?" the Grim Reaper questioned.

"Evil," the man answered without hesitation.

"Why is that, O Young One? The leader of the bandit was raised in a wrong environnt, and that was why he beca a cruel person like that.

"He was kept in the dark, not knowing his parents were killed by the man he called father.

"Had he known about those things, he would've been different. Perhaps, he would've killed the bandit leader, and ended the bandit groups himself.

"Does this not an he was a product of his environnt, and thus not evil?" the Grim Reaper said.

The man did not answer imdiately.

He kept staring at the ceiling.

Then finally, he spoke after having gathered his thoughts, "If a child studies then he can get a good job.

"If he slacks, then his future would be difficult.

"If soone has money, then they would buy things they like. If soone is poor, then they would have a hard life and might even resort to stealing things."
