He dodged the attack with ease, but to others, it looked as if he never moved and the attack had phased through him without doing any damage.
The giant mantis kept swinging its scythes at Neo.
When nothing worked, it shifted its focus to the eyeball.
'Eiek! Why is it looking at !?'
"Fight it," Neo said. "It's only one sub-rank stronger than you."
'Fight your mother! Corrupting those stronger than myself is hard with Void! How am I supposed to defeat it?'
"Don't worry, you are Immortal in this place."
The Immortality provided by Tartarus was the most basic one.
The monster couldn't kill Velkaria.
But Velkaria's attack, filled with Void, could corrupt souls and would kill the monsters permanently.
"I hope she ranks up quickly. I want to see what kind of bonus I will get when she gets stronger."
Neo combed through the forest, stepping over twisted roots and crushed foliage.
He learned the two Spells Kane gave him while devouring every monster he could find.
His stats increased by 15 (5 Strength, 3 Agility, 7 Constitution) after 10 hours.
The stats were low, but Neo didn't complain.
He needed every ounce of strength.
His goal was to surpass Stage-9 gods and remove his Bloodline curse.
For that, he needed to get everything he could find and grow stronger.

Another five hours later, he defeated a Grade 4 Exalted rank monster and devoured it.
It looked like a giant snake.
The monster's main ability was to wrap around its target and crush them.

"I don't have Holy elent."
"I know, but for now, Life should be good enough. Elizabeth's condition is at a critical stage."

Since the monsters here were Paragon and Exalted, possibly even Fabled, it ant Tartarus was a Stage-3 World.
It was far beyond the capacity of Neo, who was barely touching the peak of Grade 2 Exalted.
