"It really is!" Elizabeth's eyes sparkled. "It's one of the lost fragnts of the Rune of Life."

Emilia looked a bit nervous at the wooden box in her hands… one of the lost fragnts of the Rune of Life. She blinked a couple of tis, trying to calm herself. After a mont, she looked Brynthia straight in the eyes: "Where did you find it?"

Brynthia smiled and placed her hands on her hips: "The Progenitor Dragon, the first dragon created by God—I stole it from him when he decided to abandon and betray the Beastly Glades to create his own empire. I don't know when or where he got it, but most likely during the war in Hell—you know, the war caused by the Blue Fla that was left without a bearer." She frowned and wiggled her fingers a little. "To , that fragnt isn't worth much. But I'm sure it'll be of great help to the half-demon." She nodded with a satisfied expression on her face; she seed to be in a good mood.

Elizabeth was also pleased with the outco. She gave Emilia a smug look: "So what do you say now? Nobody's losing here!" Then she paused for a mont. "Well… Arthur's the one who's really gaining from all this." She fell silent for a few seconds. "But it doesn't matter. It's better this way."

Emilia stayed thoughtful. What Elizabeth said was true, but still: "What do you gain from all this?"

"Trade secrets! But since I don't want you pestering , I'll tell you." Elizabeth pouted and raised one of her hands, and in it appeared so beautiful crystals that glimred faintly: "I want Brynthia to help forge these crystals with runes, so I can ease my eyes a little. The sharp pain they cause is so annoying."

Emilia had more or less figured out Elizabeth's intentions, but she hadn't expected the problem with her eyes to be so significant that it pushed her to act. She briefly glanced at Elizabeth's water-blue eyes… Clairvoyance. She could see glimpses of the future randomly, but in exchange, her eyes would suffer a backlash and begin to lt as if they were ice. Emilia bit her lip: "You saw sothing."

"Exactly." Elizabeth nodded. "I saw it. And it's not good at all. I can't say more, but it's going to be really dangerous. You could say… they're planning an attack." She wore a bitter expression as she sighed to herself.

Elizabeth's visions could be true or false; they might happen, or they might not; they could bring death or save lives. After all, fate was not sothing to toy with. Elizabeth only saw fragnts—not very clear ones. She didn't see exactly what would happen, but rather glimpses or events that could split into multiple paths at once. And from what Elizabeth said…

Brynthia frowned and clicked her tongue in frustration. She turned and looked at the two Primordial Blood families: "Take care of the preparations." The two families silently nodded and left the throne room.

"So annoying." Brynthia clicked her tongue again and crossed her arms: "Demons?" She raised an eyebrow as she looked at Elizabeth.

"Most likely." Elizabeth nodded. "I think they've learned about the existence of the Rune of Life fragnt."

"That should be impossible… but, since I did it myself… still." Brynthia furrowed her brow for a few monts. "I guess the information slipped out when I tried to kill those damn traitors during the escape." She clicked her tongue angrily. "And now what? I can't do anything unless they start killing my kin. Well… the destruction of the territories is a separate matter, but of course I won't let any of mine die. Right now the elders are evacuating the young ones, so only you two can act."

"Ugh…" Elizabeth groaned to herself and shook her head. "I'm useless. Emilia has to handle everything!" She quickly pointed a finger at the teacher, who wore a bitter expression. "I'm weak right now, but depending on how many there are, I might be able to make an effort." Elizabeth gave a playful smile.

Emilia stayed silent for a mont. From Elizabeth's words, not even she knew how many demons there were. Emilia shook her head slightly. This was supposed to be a simple, ordinary journey—but everything had gone wrong. First the fragnt of the Divine Rune, and now it turned out the demons were planning an attack…

Emilia looked at the wooden box in her hand. She snapped her fingers, and it vanished into thin air. She sighed: "I suppose you don't know the exact day?"

Elizabeth shook her head: "No, but it's sooner rather than later." She smiled. "That's why I need to be ready! We have to make the exchange quickly!" She seed to brighten up, saying they needed to hurry and stop asking boring questions.

Emilia glanced at Brynthia. She didn't know what was on Brynthia's mind or exactly what she wanted, but as Elizabeth said, there wasn't much ti to waste. She weighed the pros and cons, and her thoughts wandered to the fragnt of the Divine Rune… As a Seraph—the pinnacle of the purest existence—she knew how important this fragnt was to the Heavens. But she couldn't make such a significant decision on her own… especially not with Elizabeth involved.

"We have to talk to Seraphine. You know that, right?" Seraphine—the Nine-Winged Seraph closest to God, and the eldest of them all. She was, so to speak, the big sister, and therefore the one with the most knowledge about this. Her opinion had to be considered.

"I know, I know." Elizabeth nodded wearily. "Of course Seraphine needs to know about this. I don't want her mad at . That's terrifying—I don't even want to think about it." Her body trembled slightly as she sighed.

"Alright… I'll try to talk to Arthur about this," Emilia said as she began to walk away. Her silver eyes glimred briefly, the two orbs swirling and shifting color slightly. The air around her grew a little softer, a little calr.

As she walked through the hallways, entirely made of wood in different shades: "What do you think?" she murmured in her own mind.

"The fragnt is real," a voice very similar to her own echoed inside her mind. "Most likely, the demons are the Sins. They'll be very interested in that fragnt. As you know, that fragnt is very important to them."

"Of course I know." Emilia smiled coldly as she continued walking in silence.
