Boom!

The ashen gray sky shattered again with jagged streaks of multicolored lightnings, red and yellow veins tearing through the ash dark expanse. Each flash lit the battlefield below, montarily revealing the horror that had beco our reality. The ground quaked underfoot, trembling with each colossal step of the Null Orc. Mud mixed with blood rippled outward like waves from its massive form, the air itself vibrating with it’s re presence alone.

The creature was a monunt of despair, its towering figure blotting out the dim, dying light of the broken ashen cloud. Every motion it made twisted the fabric of existence, its cyclopean eye glowing with a sickly green fire that seed to pierce straight into the soul and existence alike.

I felt my Mist Sword beginning to form in my grasp, its cool energy coalescing into a weapon I knew all too well. It was instinctive... a reflex born from countless battles. Yet, before the blade could fully materialize, a firm hand gripped my shoulder.

"Don’t," Geralda said, her voice calm yet weighted with a subtle authority that froze mid-motion.

I turned my head, confused. "Why?"

Her golden-flecked eyes remained fixed on the monstrosity ahead. She didn’t answer right away. Seconds stretched into what felt like minutes before she spoke, her tone devoid of urgency but carrying a gravity that I couldn’t ignore.

"It’s an Avatar," she said simply.

The words hung in the air, sinking into like stones.

"An Avatar?" I asked, the confusion clear in my voice.

She gave a small nod, her gaze calmly unyielding. "Watch."

Reluctantly, I released my summoning on the Mist Sword, the ethereal mist energy dissipating from my hand. My focus shifted back to the battlefield as the Null Orc took another step forward.

Vroom!

The ground beneath its foot distorted, and in an instant, swirling voids... micro black holes appeared at its base. They were hungry, voracious things, devouring everything in their radius. Void monsters caught in their pull were sucked into the nullity, their monstrous void forms unraveling into nothingness. Yet, the Forsaken Knights fought on, untouched by the destruction. Their movents were fast, their ash-dark auras flaring faintly in defiance of the consuming void.

"What’s protecting them?" I asked, my voice steady despite the unease creeping beneath my calm exterior.

"The Ash of Negation," Geralda replied, her voice soft, almost detached. It was like she was recounting a tale long stripped of its aning. "That aura you see isn’t just energy... it’s a paradox. It exists beyond even existence could be foretold, negating everything it cos into contact with. Life, death, even the void. As long as it surrounds them, they are untouchable."

I nodded slowly, taking in her words. If I rembered clearly, Geralda also has the sa aura surrounding her, but calr, more contained, like a lethal sword ready to strike at any mont....

The Knights moved with purpose, their coordinated strikes chipping away at the monstrous void horde, but the Null Orc remained an indomitable force, an immovable pillar of destruction amidst the chaos.

"And the Null Orc?" I asked.

Geralda’s gaze flicked to for the briefest of monts before returning to the battlefield. Her expression remained unreadable.

"It’s a fragnt of the Null Plane," she said. "Born from a place that defies natural law. It shouldn’t exist... and yet it does. This is rely its Avatar... a sliver of its true form. Even so, it’s enough to unmake entire fruits of narrative."

The weight of her words pressed down on . "And how do we kill it?"

She didn’t respond imdiately. Instead, she closed her eyes, exhaling slowly. The silence stretched, broken only by the distant roars and clashes of the battlefield below.

Without a word, she extended her hand towards the ground. The air around her seed to shift, growing still in a way that was almost suffocating. The blood-soaked earth beneath her began to ripple, and ash-dark energy spiraled downward, condensing into a singularity that defied explanation. From the depths of that unnatural stillness, a weapon began to erge.

It was a blade, long and sleek, its surface shimring with the sa ash-dark chaos that surrounded Geralda. The weapon seed to flicker in and out of existence, as though it couldn’t decide whether it belonged to this reality or another.

[SJIUR HAS BEEN SUMMONED]

The na echoed in my mind, as I rembered this was the sa weapon she used to fight Altronotch The Knight Of The Void,

She gripped the weapon with practiced ease, as if she had wielded it a thousand tis before, lifting it as though it weighed nothing. The ash-dark energy radiating from it was paradoxical... calm and soothing on the surface, yet beneath that calm lay a storm of untad chaos.

"This," she said quietly, "is Sjiur. A blade forged from the Ash Of Negation. A weapon that can negate anything...."

I opened my mouth to speak, but the words died in my throat as she raised the blade.

The motion was simple, almost unremarkable. No flourish, no wasted movent... just a deliberate, precise slash through the air.

The effect was imdiate.

The ash-dark energy rippled outward, cutting through the battlefield with a silent inevitability. It wasn’t loud or dramatic. There was no roar of power or explosion of light... only the quiet, unrelenting certainty of destruction.

Slash!

The energy struck the Null Orc, slicing through its cyclopean eye and into the core hidden within its chest. The beast froze, its guttural growls silenced as cracks of sickly green light began to spiderweb across its massive form.

[NULL ORC AVATAR HAS BEEN DEFEATED]

The towering figure shuddered, its body disintegrating into particles of null energy that scattered into the wind.

Geralda lowered Sjiur, the blade’s energy dimming as she stared at the battlefield.

I stared at her, questions swirling in my mind like a storm. But I couldn’t bring myself to ask them.

Instead, I simply watched her, the weight of her presence settling over like a shroud.

Who really is she?

The question echoed in my mind, unanswered, like a bell untold.....
