Turning their heads around, Morrigan and Magnus watched as Novier, alongside Sigrun, casually walked over.

Novier on the other hand, kept stroking his long beard, his gaze travelling across the expanse of the Sentinel’s interiors.

"Not bad, not bad…" he muttered, audible enough for all three individuals within range to hear him.

Magnus however, along with a few other scientists walking around, found the sight of the short old man in his overalls, extrely out of place.

As for Sigrun, well her looks and body figure was turning heads, not that she cared.

This wasn’t her first ti here and since Magnus already knew her as their Boss’s sister, he was just as respectful to her as he was to the other four which he had also t two months back.

Sigrun who was walking behind Novier though, let out a small sigh and explained to Morrigan through a ntal conversation;

"You know how I went to Gearhaven because soone was knocking on the doors my beautiful, spectacular, fantastic shop for info?"

"Yes?" Morrigan responded curiously, ignoring Sigrun’s penchant for overpraising her quaint store.

"Well, turns out, it was Xavier and Novier! I swear if I could smack them both on the back of their heads, I would!" Sigrun replied with purposely enlarged eyes, her gaze slightly pissed.

Considering it would literally take Xavier nothing to blink over to them directly at the Frontlines, Sigrun’s annoyance was understandable.

Morrigan on the other hand, had a vague idea that both must’ve had sothing to do in the Tyberos’s capital before making their way over to Sigrun’s store.

Or maybe Xavier just wanted soone to babysit Novier for the anti…

’That actually seems more plausible…’ Morrigan almost cracked a smile, rembering that Novier was probably bored out of his mind, especially since the academy was now on lockdown.

Added to the fact that the man was mostly alone all the ti, especially because they were always busy, it was always a nice change of pace for him when he was around people.

"And you are?" Magnus, unaware of the two Valkyrie’s conversation, gestured to the short Novier.

"Hmmm... curious... so not the magma from the core o’ the earth like before, but the stored, concentrated rays o’ the sun? A fine improvent, I must say…" Novier, unperturbed by Magnus’s demand, walked past him and stared at the massive holographic panel in the room.

"Truly interestin’ work ye’ve been doin’ here, kiddo" Novier finally acknowledged him as he continued speaking, his peculiar accent a bit confusing for the man;

"That said, there’s still a lot o’ nuts and bolts to fix, and kinks to iron out… like here…" Novier pointed to a particular structure of the railgun’s inner architecture.

Listening to the short old man rambling on, Magnus’s eyes twitched a bit in mild irk, especially with the way Novier kept treating him like he wasn’t the one heading this whole operation.

But at the sa ti, the irk died as quickly as it ca, causing him to pay rapt attention as Novier continued;

"The integrated solar-constructs here, can be restructured and redirected here, to the sides o’ the integration chamber…"

"Oh… That does seem much more efficient…" Magnus tired eyes with dark circles and bags underneath, sparked with realization as he followed up;

"It’d boost the speed at which the convergence cube powers up to fire a beam!"

"Attaboy kiddo!" Novier patted him proudly on the thigh.

"Maybe lacing the convergence cube with advanced solar-lens on the outer part here might also boost efficiency?" Magnus tilted his head, directing the question towards Novier;

"What do you think?"

Novier mused for a few seconds before he then opened his mouth;

"It’ll be tricky, but, it ain’t impossible. Ye’ll need the finest o’ engineers to pull it off, though"

Nodding at that, Magnus’s smile soon faded as he rembered a major roadblock to all these advancents they’d be making.

"Unfortunately, with increased efficiency, cos a higher concentration of beams. One Eclipsian Prism won’t be enough to handle that much energy, much less output" he sighed, only to watch in utter shock as Novier retrieved sothing from his spatial ring.

It was another Eclipsian Prism!

One that was left over from that which Novier had used to craft Aiden and Flynn’s weapons.

Grinning, the ore lightly glowing as it sat atop his palms, Novier stated again;

"Like I said kiddo, yer in luck"

"Magnus, et Novier. Novier, et Magnus" Morrigan on the other hand, after having given both parties enough ti to get along, introduced both to themselves and added;

"Now that you’ve gotten your hands on what you need Magnus, ensure you deliver within the shorter estimated ti"

"I’ll make sure of it" Magnus politely bowed in response.

Having gotten that out of the way, Morrigan and Sigrun, directed a questioning gaze to Novier that inquired; ’Well?’

"I’ll be lingerin’ here fer a spell. Ye two best be off on yer own" he smiled in response.

"Send greetings to Senya, Ashildr and the young ’uns. Don’t worry. Xavier and I already had this discussion"

To that, the Valkyries were a bit surprised, unable to utter a word as they understood the deeper aning behind his words.

However, after a short while, Morrigan simply gave a curt nod while Sigrun lightly smiled, waving goodbye as she said;

"The next ti we’re here, it’ll be because we were victorious!"

Envy and jealousy.

Those were the initial emotions that a young Beelzebub had towards other races.

But then it turned into a deep rooted hatred…

One that wasn’t directed towards the other races this ti…

But more towards the creator of their universe, Gaia.

Infernia, his ho planet, was constantly at war with their fellow kins.

The reason, the demons, as if consud by the dire need for bloodshed, killed, mutilated and robbed themselves of happy lives.

And maybe, to a certain extent, that need for bloodshed, wasn’t completely unfounded…

Why?

Because unfortunately, Gaia who had created them, granted them frankly short lifespans of no less than thirty years.

The Ancestral Mother, knowing fully well the type of diabolical race she had created, handicapped them with that type of condition, deeply rooted into their genetics.

With a frankly unfair accelerated growth rate, no more than thirty years and the demons would shrivel up like a wilted old flower.

This ultimately, forced the demon race to also mature at frankly terrifying speeds even from the youngest ages, most of them, looking for a way to live past their pris.

However, like the saying goes, where there’s a will, there’s a way, the demons, did find a way to live past their pris.

Absorptions of souls.

Just like every other race had their own primal traits and abilities assigned to them, the demons, were unfortunately, granted the ability to absorb the souls of the people they had killed, granting them longer lives and stronger bodies.

This was what, unsurprisingly, led to constant war and strife in their ho planet.

Considering everyone wanted to live long lives and beco strong enough to withstand any trial that ca their way, it soon beca a survival of the fittest.

Beelzebub on the other hand, asides from wanting to live a long life like everyone else and an insatiable thirst for strenght, had a much more sinister goal.

To destroy the other races, all of which ca from his deep-seated hatred for their Ancestral Mother.

Due to this deep-seated hatred for Gaia, Beelzebub soon began to explore ways to ruin every blessed thing Gaia created.

Like a predator on the top of a food chain, the demon, after killing thousands of his kin for years on end, beca their King, and soon, found a way to harness that power of soul absorption properly, much more than his other kin.

Creating a soul corridor, one where instead of lding all the souls he had killed into his own souls like his other demon kind did to increase their life spans, Beelzebub opted to create sothing akin to a vast field, one where the individual souls existed but were linked by a sort of complex, interconnected spider web.

This way, whenever he died, all he needed was to cut off one of those strings linked to an individual soul and he would achieve a temporary death, only to co back to life after a short while.

However, coming back to life, also needed him to either burn as many souls as necessary, or gradually wait for the complex web of strings to eventually relink themselves in the absence of a discarded soul.

The latter unfortunately, took far longer than necessary, sotis taking a few hundred or thousand years before he revived.

But still, there was an added benefit to this as Beelzebub’s soul corridor would optimize itself to beco stronger, hoping to prevent the death of its owner.

That was how the Demon King, got stronger with every revival.

But really, this was just the beginning of much more diabolical things to co from the Demon King.

Him achieving immortality as he liked to call it, was just the tip of the iceberg.

Finally getting strong, enough to forcefully open a portal to another planet, Beelzebub began his conquest to destroy everything Gaia ever created.

To return every blessed thing she ever built, back to nothingness.

And just like that, from planet to planet, he pillaged and conquered, all whilst getting even stronger and stronger along the way, even learning how to wield Nether along the way.

For the races who were willing to forgo their pride and succumb to him, he welcod them into his army, going so far as to absorb the souls of a peculiar few without killing them and making them his generals.

So planets took him hours to conquer, so days, and so, years on end.

Talos especially, the ho planet of the Valkyries, had been a serious pain in the ass for him because, despite the small population of about a thousand Valkyries, they had been the hardest as at the ti to conquer due to their imnse strength.

But eventually, he obviously did co out victorious, the only planet left in sight for him to conquer being Arcanora.

This planet, one he had found out through his long conquest, was one he realized that Gaia seed to treasure the most.

That was enough reason for him to save them for the last, almost like a satisfying dessert to his dinner.

Unfortunately for the Demon King though, he encountered a severe problem.

So of the inhabitants of Arcanora were borderline overpowered, enough that it began to worry him that he wouldn’t complete his lifelong goal of destroying all of Gaia’s creations.

However, there was a silver lining for him.

The humans, weren’t immortal.

Sure so of them could live for hundreds of years, but most, usually never went past 200 years at the very least, save for those select overpowered few.

This ant that he just needed to play a waiting ga.

A battle of attrition basically…

But a few centuries years later, Beelzebub flung his plan completely out the window.

The cause?

Amael, the Hero.

The power this singular human had, was nothing short of cheating.

Even the previous two humans whom had ended up killing him a few tis over, weren’t anything close to the level of strength he possessed.

Unwilling to allow him grow even stronger, Beelzebub, instead of taking his ti to naturally resurrect, burned and consud many souls in his soul corridor to resurrect faster, enough that he could constantly keep assaulting Arcanora every few hundred years.

And his plan, to a certain extent, which was to ensure Amael died as soon as possible, ended up being a success.

However, in return, unknown to him, it gave the Hero enough chances to study the Demon King, eventually figuring out the trick to his immortality.

Added to that, as if to add salt to wounds Beelzebub hadn’t realized he had already incurred as at back then, Amael ended up taking the position of Gaia, preventing the invasion of Demon King for millenniums on end.

Now though, after finally sorting out the best way to destroy his soul corridor, Amael who had purposely waned in his guard over Arcanora, tricked Beelzebub into believing he was already way too weak to maintain his protection.

To this, the Demon King, although unaware of the Hero’s plan, made good use of it to gauge the strength of the current humans.

Having being assaulting them for the past three months, Beelzebub soon ca to realization.

The humans were still as strong as ever without doubt.

But, there was none on the sa level as Amael so far.

However, just to keep things within his speculations, Beelzebub ca to a decision.

One where he was not going to allow the humans to grow any stronger.

"Gradually stop the assault on Arcanora for now, but, keep powering the Fabric Warp" he said to his generals, all of whom were kneeling before him in his throne room.

"Yes, My Liege!" the generals, all of different races, even with their distinct voices, let out a similar response.

"Prepare our forces for a full-on invasion" he commanded further, his voice authoritative.

"In the next 60 days from now, we’re going to conquer that damn planet" the Demon King, his tone solemn yet malicious, concluded definitively.
