Sitting in the backseat of a ridiculously expensive and futuristic-looking limo was a man who encompassed the aura of a wealthy businessman.

Possessing an innate talent for recognizing the true worth of items, even obscure and unexplainable ones from a very young age, the thirty-three-year-old man had built his business empire from the ground-up by turning often overlooked pieces of materials, arts and antiquities into coveted treasures.

Dressed in a well-tailored, obsidian-black suit, Harvey Roas, sole owner of ’The Spina De-La Roas’, the biggest auction house in all of Aquilith Haven and even Flenor Islands, was on a call with a certain individual.

Having a sharp yet discerning look in his black eyes and on his face, the man with a well-grood ebony hair, had a calm look across his face while listening to the voice coming from the other end of the phone.

"So we have a deal?" the individual on the other side of the phone asked.

"Yes we do. Bring your n over to the designated site which I’ll forward to you a mont from now to exchange the items" Harvey responded in a very formal manner.

Cutting the call just a second after those words, the man imdiately called soone else and gave orders to him regarding the details of the previous call and where to et the buyer.

Having done this, Harvey finally relaxed into the comfort of the soft leather chair of his car while crossing his legs as he muttered to himself.

"It’s just business. Regardless of however it plays out, I’m making my profit…"

As his futuristic limo drove through the lively and brightly lit night streets of Aquilith Haven, a set of very expensive looking hover cars swooshed above his vehicle, all of them mostly heading over to the man’s auction house for the chance to buy rare and expensive items today.

Finally reaching a fairly wide floating island, all the hover cars and their passengers soon watched as a massive structure which was built atop the island ca into view.

The Spina De-La Roas, an architectural marvel that would instantly grab anyone’s attention, stood majestically as multiple hover cars and even normal futuristic cars who took the long sky-bridges, soon found their way into the insanely large parking lot.

The exterior structure of the Spina De-La Roas’s beautiful architecture, was adorned with towering, polished marble columns, each of them ticulously carved with intricate motifs and symbols.

A majestic balcony also wrapped around the entirety of the opulent structure, offering panoramic views its surroundings.

Getting down from their vehicles, it was obvious to every onlooker that only the wealthiest of the wealthiest would have a reason to co to this picturesque venue.

Dressed in the most lavish and opulent attires, ladies and gentlen, so of whom ca wearing ornately designed masks, took their strides elegantly as they made their way towards the auction house.

Among this many wealthy individuals, were six elegantly dressed youths who stepped out of three fairly expensive Porsche by Arcanora’s standards, two of them each from one porsche.

In the order of arrival, the youths in question were Aiden and Caroline, Beatrice and Bryan, Alia and Ivelia.

Already having their masks donned on their faces, they all made their way through the grand tallic doors of the auction house.

As soon as they all approached the massive doors, a red light from a sensor scanned them all from head to toe in succession.

After ensuring they were carrying no weapons, even in their spatial rings and bracelet, the light turned green and they were all finally permitted entrance into the auction house.

The mont they stepped in though, they all soon found themselves quite entranced by the even more magnificent sights that awaited them inside the architectural masterpiece of a building.

First was the expansive atrium which had a translucent do overhead. Bathed in bright yet inviting fluorescent lights, the marbled flooring of the room upon which the lights cascaded down onto and danced on, imdiately set the luxurious ambience of the auction house once again.

Moving forward with the multitude of people that were similarly in a bit of awe just like them, they soon found themselves in an opulent hall full of the finest treasures, art pieces and antiquities that were placed on elegantly designed pedestals and behind unbreakable display cases.

Knowledgeable curators stood by each item, ready to give detailed insights about the tier of galleries in the hall to whover was interested.

Leaving that room a few minutes later, the multiple staffs of the auction house ushered the wealthy individuals into the grand hall where the auction would actually take place.

Sectioned into upper and lower chambers which housed multiple, individual, velvety-like chairs, the vast auction hall also had an elevated podium where the auctioneer would preside over the proceedings to the bidders.

As the youths moved to the upper floor of the auction house and took their respective seats, so did everyone else, an eager anticipation for the auction event to start.

’This really is one heck of a group quest…’ Aiden thought to himself as his eyes scanned the multiple rows of red chairs which was being filled up by the second.

’But we have to be at a complete alert!’ he inwardly comnted as he glanced at the wealthily-dressed man who sat beside him, knowing fully well that even he could potentially be among the mbers of the Monolith they were tasked with apprehending if it ca down to that.

The Monolith, despite not having as much power or influence as the mbers of Obelisk, had one major advantage over every other dark organization present in Arcanora.

Their imnsely disturbing and unbelievable number of mbers!

Like an intricately knit spider’s web, they could always be found in every part of the world, although, Flenor Islands was where they usually committed most of their atrocities and vices.

Although the novel couldn’t fully be relied upon anymore, the event of coming to an auction house though, did take place in the novel, albeit at a much further point in the plot.

And even then, it more or less happened as a passing note from Aiden’s perspective in the novel and not as a major event.

In fact, during Aiden’s school trip according to the novel, he was actually assigned to another task with another group which required them to rescue a few important high-profile individuals from their abductors.

This event that was now actually happening instead, was a stark contrast to anything he and Flynn both knew.

However, just two days ago, on the sa day they were assigned their quests, Flynn, after digging into the dark web even more, found a genuinely important piece of information that really elevated just how much they needed to ensure that they succeeded with this group quest.

Apparently, the Eclipsian Prism, the sa ore which was used to forge their weapons, was being auctioned off today!

Without even having to think too deeply about it, both youths imdiately realized that the ore, was quite possibly the major auction item The Monolith was targeting.

This was especially true when rembering that multiple of their spies had infiltrated the academy just five months ago and going by how they hadn’t attacked a single individual, both youths had wondered if the ore had actually been what they were after but had no idea as to where it really was in the academy, hence the massacre against them when they started roaming the places they shouldn’t have.

In all fairness though, the Eclipsian Prism was, literally, an ore that was guarded by a giant Kraugr the size of a two story-buildings when they had tried to retrieve it in the Crystal Caverns so they knew just how much imnse worth it must’ve had.

At first, Flynn had pondered over why they couldn’t just bid for it just like everyone else, instead of going through all the trouble of trying to steal it as their mission briefing had entailed.

But, after also finding out that so really greedy yet imnsely wealthy archaeologists and researchers who were also interested in the prism were here, probably also finding out through the sa ans about the information as he did, he had understood why they must’ve opted for that decision instead.

If they had bought it in the open, there was a high possibility that the ore would never even reach their base before the greedy bastards used very underhanded ans to get it. Even if that ant killing the bidder who got the ore a second after they left the auction house.

’What would they need to use the ore for though?’ Aiden inwardly questioned with a curious expression.

Although he genuinely pondered if the prism had sothing to do with the darn railgun they were still planning to destroy once they actually knew where it was being built, the youth had no knowledge about how the ore would play into that.

’Should definitely ask Novier and possibly Ivar, about it. Considering he joined the magic engineering departnt, he might have an insight as to the possibilities the ore might have…’

As Aiden was pondering over this, the excited voice of the auctioneer who was now standing atop his rostrum soon flowed into his ears as the hall instantly erupted into a pretty tense yet exciting atmosphere.

Glancing over to his other side, Aiden locked eyes with Caroline who had a silver and ornately designed mask on her features.

Noticing his gaze on her, the lady gave a slight nod to him and Aiden reciprocated.

Then, he did the sa to the others who were at a fair few ters away from them and they responded similarly, indicating that they were fully on guard and at alert.

As soon as that was done, Aiden who was now about to focus on the auction, suddenly felt his smartwatch which was on silent mode, quietly vibrate on his wrist.

Quickly tapping on the device, Aiden imdiately read the three important words which were ssaged to him.
