Richard left Saint Louis City and returned to Eden.

In Eden’s main laboratory, Richard sat in front of a circular experint table, holding a quill and writing quickly on papyrus.

"Scribble, scribble..."

"According to this idea, a rechargeable magic rune is viable. It can be used on Magic Knights for large-scale armant, and even on Magic Puppets to greatly enhance their combat effectiveness.

Of course, to achieve this, so issues must be resolved. First is the material issue, and then there are load issues, as well as..."

"Scribble, scribble..."

Richard kept writing, then paused his pen after a while and quickly reviewed the contents he had written, nodding lightly.

"Snap!"

Richard snapped his fingers with his thumb and middle finger, and an orange fla appeared at his fingertip.

"Whoosh!"

The fla appeared and quickly spread, blooming like a flower before vanishing in a flash. It successfully raised the surrounding air temperature, making it sowhat scorching, and the air brushed over the papyrus, drying the ink on it.

Richard rolled up the papyrus scroll and placed it into a wooden box on the right side of the table, then walked to the wall and stored it in a compartnt of a tall wooden bookshelf.

The idea that had suddenly occurred to him in Saint Louis City had been contemplated during the two-day journey back, and had nearly been organized, with the writings on the papyrus scroll as a summary.

However, after summarizing, he did not plan to imdiately conduct research or practice. Instead, he stored it away for future opportunities to delve into it.

His most important task at the mont remained the research and production plan for nuclear weapons. This plan was crucial for him to acquire the "table-flipping ability" and to uncover the world’s truth, having already invested too much ti and effort to let it falter midway.

So, although the idea of rechargeable magic runes was great, it would have to wait for the results of the current plan before deciding whether to pursue it.

Perhaps, by that ti, there might be no need for the research at all, it’s possible.

After all, referencing Earth’s technological developnt, nuclear weapons are the nesis of large-scale dense armored forces. No matter how nurous or well-defended the armored forces are, if they gather together, they provide a chance for nuclear weapons to strike, treating it as a matter of monts.

Thinking of these things, Richard took steps towards the main laboratory door, "creaking" as it opened, and he walked out.

Upon stepping outside, what filled his view was a large pile of Transford Skeletons on the vacant lot in front of the door, creations by the Witch Demon Elder Ah Fu recently. Ignoring them intentionally was impossible, given their number—fifty in total—and bizarre designs.

Maybe the Witch Demon Elder was excessively insecure, genuinely wanting the Transford Skeletons to counter the Ancient Tree Species Tin Wood, for each skeleton was exceptionally tall.

The shortest skeleton stood at three ters tall, crafted from the bones of large beasts like rhinos and black bears, enveloped in thick tal, resembling moving Iron Cans.

The result was these Transford Skeletons were exceptionally cumberso, taking ages to take a single step, appearing completely still unless observed closely—standing collectively on the lab’s open space like a group sculpture.

The more he looked, the uglier they appeared... Richard couldn’t help but shake his head in thought.

In his view, the only not ugly, non-cumberso Transford Skeleton was perhaps the first one modified by the Witch Demon Elder.

This skeleton sat dozens of ters away, its head facing a direction as if pondering sothing. Behind it were six slender arms, added like wings on either side. The six arms seed to have minds of their own, gesturing differently, in stark contrast to the contemplative skeleton.

"Woof, woof!"

A Golden Yellow Dog appeared out of nowhere, excitedly running towards the skeleton with six arms, circling it while barking occasionally.

A few seconds later, the noise seed to disturb Pandora, with a "creak," a door of a room on one side of the main laboratory opened.

Pandora poked her head out, eyebrows furrowed, likely stumped by another problem. She glared at the Golden Yellow Dog, shouting, "Co back!"

The dog, circling the Eight-Ard Skeleton, hearing Pandora’s call, tucked its tail, and obediently ran back to the room, then Pandora slamd the door shut. Throughout this, the Witch Demon Elder did not step out to say anything.

Watching Pandora close the door, Richard pondered: I wonder what happened in Eden during my absence, but judging by what I’ve seen, it seems the Golden Yellow Dog, once belonging to the Witch Demon Elder, has entirely switched owners, becoming Pandora’s pet.

Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, I can’t tell.

Taking steps, Richard walked to the side where the Witch Demon Elder lay motionless in an armchair ten ters away. It would be easy to mistake him for deceased if not for the rise and fall of his chest.

Reaching the Witch Demon Elder’s side, Richard voiced his question: "What’s up, Mr. Ah Fu, why aren’t you continuing to modify your Magic Puppets?"

Hearing Richard’s words, the Witch Demon Elder raised his eyelid, wriggling on the armchair like a caterpillar to adjust his lying position, and spoke weakly, "Why don’t I modify them? Before you ca back, I was worried about that tree causing trouble. I was constantly making and modifying Magic Puppets, working tirelessly for six straight days.

Thankfully, you returned a day early, or I’d have collapsed. With you back, I no longer have to worry so much. Of course, I should rest properly. Tsk, in the end, I must comnd you: you have a conscience, returning earlier instead of delaying, very comndable."

Hearing this, Richard’s lips twitched slightly, thinking: After leaving Saint Louis City, I didn’t even go to Delan, worried about sothing happening in Eden, so I hurried back a day early. But to say I have a conscience is perhaps not quite right because...

Looking at the Witch Demon Elder, Richard said earnestly: "Mr. Ah Fu, I think you should continue modifying the Magic Puppets, because I’m now preparing to go out again."

"Shing!"

The Witch Demon Elder jumped up from the armchair as if shocked by electricity, eyes wide, asking: "What? Say that again? You’re preparing to go out again just after returning?"

"Don’t worry, Mr. Ah Fu, this ti I’m just going to Delan to hand in a task, at most a round trip of two days. I checked the tree in the room; it shouldn’t cause any trouble in two days, so you don’t need to worry. Even if sothing does happen, just modify more Magic Puppets, and you should manage until I return, trust ."

Saying this, Richard didn’t give the Witch Demon Elder a chance to protest, heading straight to the side, leaving Eden.

The Witch Demon Elder sat in the armchair, stunned, plunged into thoughts about life.

Only three seconds after Richard left, did he regain his senses, looking at the air ahead, couldn’t help but curse: "Trust you? Trust you a ghost! You’re really going too far, making watch over this lousy place every day. Whose place is it anyway, yours or mine, I..."

After a good while of cursing, the Witch Demon Elder stopped, reluctantly stood up, and with a dark face walked towards the Magic Puppets.

He approached a hobbling skeleton with horns, motioned for it to lie down, and removed the bones from its lower leg, pondering where to find the suitable bone to replace it and improve its mobility.

At this point, the Eight-Ard Skeleton approached and handed over a huge bone.

The Witch Demon Elder received it and attached it to the horned skeleton, letting it stand up and take a few steps, finding it very suitable.

Turning his head, sowhat surprised at the Eight-Ard Skeleton, the Witch Demon Elder couldn’t help but ask: "Can you modify Magic Puppets just like ? But you are just a Magic Puppet yourself."

The Eight-Ard Skeleton silently looked at the Witch Demon Elder, the ghost fire in its eye sockets burning quietly, as if always saying: "I’m just a skeleton, don’t ask why, I don’t know."

The Witch Demon Elder: "..."
