Capítulo 944: Chapter 942: Giving Up on Treatnt

In the reception room, Richard had left for a while when Bobbobovic finally reacted and loudly defended himself in the direction Richard left, “Hey, I’m not sick, okay? At most… injured. Yes, injured!”

As he said this, with a “thump”, Bobbobovic’s body swayed, almost falling to the ground.

Bobbobovic slightly bent his waist, struggling to look upwards, and saw his grass-green hair towering over five ters high, pushing against the ceiling and still trying to grow out of the roof.

“Jessica!”

Bobbobovic shouted loudly.

“Tap tap tap…”

The sound of footsteps arose as a sixteen or seventeen-year-old girl ran in, with large and bright eyes and so freckles on her face. Because she ran too fast, her double ponytails were jumping around behind her head. She was Bobbobovic’s apprentice.

“What’s wrong, teacher?” The female apprentice nad Jessica ran in, glanced at Bobbobovic, and asked concernedly.

At the mont, due to the continued growth of his hair, Bobbobovic sat helplessly on the ground, his face showing a resigned expression, pointing at the top of his head, sighed and said to Jessica, “Help cut my hair, please.”

“But…” Jessica puzzled, “But teacher, can’t you just use magic to cut it off yourself?”

“I’ve already used magic to cut it off hundreds of tis before, I’m tired—ntally tired, and I don’t want to cut it anymore.” Bobbobovic exhaled.

“Okay.” Jessica answered, swiftly turned around and left, and when she returned, she had a pair of tal scissors in her hand, ready to attend to the top of Bobbobovic’s head.

“Snip snip snip!”

With a few quick moves, the grass-green hair atop Bobbobovic’s head, like a tree that’s been sawed off, tilted fiercely and fell to the ground. However, due to its light weight, barely any dust was stirred.

Jessica placed down the scissors, carrying the hair out while muttering to herself, “Though this hair is light, it burns fairly well. With so more, maybe it would be enough for dinner.”

“You think so, teacher?” She turned back and asked Bobbobovic.

“Maybe.” Bobbobovic answered noncommittally, squeezing out a bitter smile, uglier than crying.

Next morning.

Early in the morning, Richard finished instructing and got onto the carriage, leaving Blue Lake Estate.

Outside the estate, the butler Jia Lie waved goodbye and put down his arm after watching Richard and the carriage fade over the horizon.

Turning back towards the estate servants, he straightened his back and announced, “You’ve seen it, the master is off on another trip. This is not the first, nor the last ti, you should all be accustod to it by now — at least I’m used to it — the master is busier than all of us.”

Jia Lie finished speaking, waiting for laughter from the estate servants but received wide-eyed silence instead.

Why is my joke not funny or did they not get it? That shouldn’t be… Jia Lie felt a bit uneasy, tugged at his clothes, and cleared his throat, pretended to be serious, “Alright, no more nonsense. During the master’s absence, we shall work as if he’s here.

Be diligent and don’t slack, otherwise if I catch you, first ti warning, second ti a pay cut. Moreover, guard against thieves and fires, thieves aren’t the main concern, Jialan City doesn’t have thoughtless thieves coming to steal here, fires are the real issue. Now the weather is gradually heating up, the chance of fires increases, and if not handled tily, it’ll be a huge loss. I certainly don’t want the master to co back and not recognize the estate. Understand?”

“Understood!” The servants answered in unison.

“Alright, disperse and start working.” Jia Lie waved his hand.

The servants imdiately scattered and as they walked away, they began whispering, though no one knows what they were saying.

Jia Lie saw this, calmly moved closer, curious to hear what they were saying. But upon noticing him, they promptly stopped talking and looked towards him.

“Butler Jia Lie, do you have any instructions?”

“No, no.” Jia Lie waved his hand to conceal slight embarrassnt and quickly walked away.

Returning to his room, after pondering for a long ti, he asked uncertainly, “Seems like they’re a bit afraid of , huh. Is that right? Why?”

Eden.

Pandora ca out of her study, walked over to the open area in front of the main laboratory, and tossed a sheet filled with data to the Witch Demon Elder.

The Witch Demon Elder had a hand on one side of his face, frowning like he had a toothache. In front of him, a bulky skull that was two and a half ters tall had been reduced to just over a ter—the upper body stood intact on the ground while the lower body was scattered into a pile of bones.

The Witch Demon Elder caught the paper Pandora tossed, glanced over it, and skeptically asked, “Hey, little girl, are you sure you calculated all these values correctly? If even one is wrong, my modification will fail.”

Pandora rolled a huge eye: “If you don’t trust it, then calculate it yourself.”

With that, she walked back towards her study without looking back.

The Witch Demon Elder watched Pandora’s retreating figure and muttered under his breath, “If I could calculate, why would I ask you? But it’s only a few numbers, don’t be so smug, be a bit polite, will you?

After all, if we count by age, I am your elder. Besides, I’m doing this for both our safety, or else I wouldn’t bother modifying the magic puppet.”

“Whoosh!”

Pandora, with her sharp ears, seed to hear sothing, and as she walked, she suddenly turned around, stared at the Witch Demon Elder.

The Witch Demon Elder’s gaze faltered, he lowered his head, coughed lightly, and quickly looked at the half-bodied skull.

Only then did Pandora go into the study.

Ash Academy.

In an attic, Bobbobovic sat dejectedly on the floor, his eyes completely still, as a mass of hair on top of his head grew upwards like weeds breaking through the soil.

After a while, the hair had grown over a ter high and Bobbobovic weakly raised a pair of tal scissors about tens of centiters long and snipped at the hair “snip snip”—though using spells like Wind Blade would be easier, he had cast the sa spell hundreds of tis, and doing so made him feel nauseous, so he resorted to this thod as a substitute.

“Snip snip” a few tis, the hair was cut off and fell to the ground.

Bobbobovic picked it up, tossed it to the far corner, where a big pile was already accumulated.

Looking at it, Bobbobovic touched the tips of his hair that still continued to grow, and spoke in despair, “Sigh, when will this end?”

On the avenue.

Richard was seated in the carriage, having left Jialan City, heading northeast.

The next stop is a small town nad “Mueller”, then next is “Maple Tree City”, then again the next stop is “Damkel City”.

The journey follows this path to its final destination, which is also the place to execute the task, and that is…
