Miss Victoria stomped hard on the deck, causing the bow to seemingly dip downward as she shot forward at high speed, like a teor headed straight for Cesar.
Then, with one hand extended and clenched into a fist, Victoria’s skin crystallized at a visible rate, soon covered in gleaming diamonds.
Finally, Victoria aid her fist at Cesar with a rainbow-like montum and struck out.
Cesar raised an eyebrow upon seeing this, but his expression changed little as he spread his arms, conjuring a blue energy shield before his chest to et Victoria’s punch.
When Victoria’s diamond fist hit the shield, it shattered with a "crash" and continued unabated, striking directly at Cesar’s solar plexus.
Cesar frowned and leaped up from the tortoise’s back, soaring into the air to dodge the blow.
"The first round," Victoria called out, undeterred, and swung her fist at Ze Xi again with even greater ferocity.
Cesar pointed at the air, and a new energy shield appeared, this ti purple in color.
Still, with a "crash," the shield was shattered by Victoria’s punch, and in the blink of an eye, her fist was upon him.
Cesar twisted his body and drew a swath of afterimages, ghost-like, flashing behind Victoria.
"Second round!"
Victoria shouted, throwing a third punch without any niceties, this one even more fierce.
This was the final round. Seeing Victoria’s attack, Cesar’s expression beca serious for the first ti. He didn’t summon another shield; instead, he began chanting a spell and produced a golden arrow in his hand and fired it straight at Victoria’s head.
Upon its release, the surrounding space seed to shudder for a mont, and a vicious, destructive aura erged from the golden arrow, creating a small energy storm centred around it!
This was a real attack, one that could defeat Victoria!
For such an attack, one would be enough!
But Victoria didn’t even look, seemingly without any fear, and kept swinging her fist at Cesar. The diamonds on her fist glinted brilliantly, radiating a relentless, do-or-die resolve.
By normal accounts, her fist would never hit Cesar before the golden arrow blew apart her head, but Victoria didn’t dodge or flinch, her expression stone-cold as she steadily advanced on Cesar.
Cesar’s eyes widened as he yelled at Victoria, "Are you insane, have you no regard for your own life!"
With a flick of his hand, the golden arrow suddenly veered, striking Victoria’s shoulder.
"Crack!"
Victoria seed struck by lightning, her body creaking under the strain, but then, she landed a punch on Cesar’s body.
"Boom!"
Cesar was hit in the solar plexus, and the terrifying force flung him nearly a hundred ters through the sky before he ca to a stop and looked back at Victoria.
By this ti, Victoria had returned to the deck of the Queen Victoria, her complexion pale, clearly grievously injured. Even if the golden arrow hadn’t hit a vital spot, it was enough to cause her severe pain.
Cesar, watching her condition, couldn’t help but say, "You’re really mad. If I hadn’t held back just now, you’d be dead, do you realize that?"
"I know," said Victoria, and then seriously added, "But I’m not dead now. And I’ve survived the three rounds, so... you’ve lost."
"That’s because I didn’t want to kill you," Cesar replied with a sour face. "Otherwise, there’s no way I could lose."
"You’ve lost all the sa."
"You’re wagering with your own life."
"You lost."
"Can you stop saying that..."
"You lost," Victoria repeated seriously.
"I..." Cesar was suddenly at a loss for words, glanced at Victoria, and reluctantly conceded, "Alright, alright, I lost. I’ll keep my promise and won’t interfere in this matter anymore."
"Thank you," Victoria said, taking a deep breath, then turned her head to look at Alafa, Shamman, and Takta.
The three of them were looking at Cesar.
"Lord Cesar," Alafa spoke up, "since you are not planning to interfere anymore, does that an... we can make our move now?"
"Hm?" Cesar raised his eyebrow upon hearing Alafa’s words, his eyes half-lidded as he responded, "What do you think my non-interference ans? That I would injure Miss Victoria and then stand by idly, watching you attack Queen Victoria? What would that make , your hired thug? Or perhaps, a dog you’ve kept?"
Alafa’s expression stiffened, and he quickly said, "No, no, of course not! How dare we!"
"Really!" Cesar’s tone grew harsh, he said sternly, "Let make this clear: My non-interference ans that this matter is already over. I will no longer pursue the item on the ship, and neither should anyone else, or else... hmm, they would be making an enemy of both Miss Victoria and myself."
"This—" Alafa was stunned, managing only a wry smile after a long while, "Lord Cesar, you must be joking, right? How can things be handled like this?"
"A joke? I rarely ever joke, especially with people I am not familiar with. If you don’t believe , you can try," Cesar said.
While Cesar was talking, they all saw a massive vortex of dark clouds slowly turning in the sky overhead. Lightning serpents as thick as barrels writhed crazily within the clouds, seeming as though at a word they could roar down and sweep everything away.
"This..." Alafa was at a loss for words, looking at Cesar, looking at the terrifying celestial phenonon above Cesar’s head, blinking rapidly, when suddenly, he realized many things.
Setting other things aside, if Cesar truly did as he said, Alafa indeed wouldn’t dare to take action, even with the support of the two other powers.
The combined forces of their three powers could handle one Third-level Peak Wizard like Victoria since the Blue Nightingale Alliance which stood behind her wasn’t greatly influential in the southern part of the Main Continent.
But including Cesar was an entirely different matter.
The Wizard Power backing Cesar was far more formidable than any Blue Nightingale Alliance and held significant influence in the southern part of the Main Continent. They truly didn’t dare to provoke it. That’s why Alafa addressed Cesar with such respect.
Even without considering the power behind Cesar, Cesar himself was not easy to deal with.
Cesar’s strength was imnse, with long-standing rumors that he could contend with a Level 4 Wizard. Even though he himself admitted he had not yet broken through to a Level 4 Wizard, they wouldn’t dare to act rashly. Actually, from the fight between Cesar and Victoria just now, they could see how strong Cesar was—if he hadn’t held back, both Victorias would have been killed.
At this thought, Alafa suddenly rembered a rumor he had heard a long ti ago.
It was said that Cesar had so admiration for Victoria.
Before, he didn’t believe it, but now it seed very likely.
Otherwise, why would Cesar hold back in the fight? And why would he go to such lengths to protect Victoria after the battle?
If that was really the case...
Then what was the point in fighting anymore?
The more Alafa thought about it, the more depressed he beca, and finally, he gave Cesar a long look, turned to his subordinates, and gave the order: "Withdraw!"
Over a dozen Red Ships in the fleet quickly changed course under the helmsn’s control, and soon enough, they had left the area.
Representatives of the two other powers left behind were sowhat dazed, obviously not as quick on the uptake as Alafa. However, after looking at Cesar and Victoria, and then at the ominous sky above, they wisely did not make any rash moves, followed in Alafa’s footsteps, and obediently steered their ships away too.
The once crowded sea beca spacious all of a sudden.
