The conversation in the room had gone on for quite so ti; Eva took a deep breath, fixed her eyes on Tifeng, and summarized what Tifeng had said, “So it seems that this Richard isn’t as weak as we previously thought. He actually possesses a great power, right?”
“Yes,” Tifeng nodded, his expression serious, “Master Eva, I think we need to take this matter very seriously!”
After a pause, Tifeng continued, “Master Eva, after the spy incident, we acknowledged Richard’s identity but didn’t fully trust him. Therefore, you assigned the task of paying more attention to his actions during normal tis. I have indeed taken this very seriously, but he has always hidden them well. Moreover, he usually stays indoors, so I never saw anything suspicious. “Well…” Teddy blinked, looking at Eva and asked, “Should I tell the truth?”
“What, you want to lie?” Tifeng scoffed from the side.
“It’s not about lying, but so things might not be pleasant to hear, and I don’t want to make Master Eva angry.” At this mont, Teddy’s expression grew unusually serious. He wasn’t foolish; being a Level One Low Order wizard, he was one of the weakest among the wizards in the Gathering Place. Maybe he lacked great wisdom, but he could see so things more clearly than high-ranking individuals like Eva.

After all, he’s nominally just a Wizard Apprentice, not even a full Wizard, yet he can instantly kill ten or dozens of powerful wizards. If that’s not a disguise, what is it? If it’s not a disguise, does that an I, as a Wizard, am even inferior to a Wizard Apprentice? This world would be too crazy then.
But on the other hand, Richard’s identity, whether it matters to us or to the Gathering Place, is of little significance. In such a situation, should we really make an enemy out of Richard, who possesses such a powerful force? Or should we continue welcoming him as a mber of our Gathering Place?

The reason I want the Gathering Place to accept Richard isn’t because he and I are close, but because I am literally scared of death. I think, by accepting Richard, our Gathering Place would beco stronger and better equipped to handle upcoming challenges, and my own safety would improve. That’s it.”
Teddy spread his hands, stopped speaking, and indicated that he had indeed finished.
Tifeng furrowed his brow deeply as he looked at Teddy, while Eva fell into deep thought.
After a long while, Tifeng looked towards Eva, tentatively asking, “Master Eva, what do you think… how should we handle this?”
Eva pursed her lips and was silent for a long mont before slowly speaking, “The words of Wizard Teddy have caught off guard, but they indeed make sense.
In this complex situation, we indeed should not create an enemy ourselves. But whether we can accept him or not still depends on what he really intends. Just guessing isn’t enough. Let’s do this—both of you go and invite Richard here. I’d like to talk to him.”

He wasn’t very surprised by their visit; he had sowhat anticipated their purpose. He had been ntally prepared when he returned to the Dark Forest Gathering Place, but he hadn’t expected them to co so soon, thinking it would take a few more days.
