Chapter 573: Chapter 571: Ongoing Plans

Deep Blue Castle Station, a Stone Tower stood erect.

On the fifth floor of the Stone Tower, in the quiet corridor, the Vice Dean of Deep Blue Castle, Adolf Siger, appeared, striding slowly towards his office.

Approaching the door, he reached out to push open the chestnut-colored wooden door, but at the mont his hand touched the door, Vice Dean Siger suddenly sensed sothing, his movent slightly hesitated, and he quickly turned his head to sweep the entire corridor. Finding no one but himself there, he then pushed the door open.

“Squeak, bang!”

As the door opened, Adolf Siger stepped in and promptly closed it, casting a glance at the Black Robed Man sitting behind his desk, frowning slightly, “If we were to et, you should have signaled !”

“But this way, isn’t it more convenient?” the Black Robed Man lifted his head, taking a glance at Siger.

“Hmph,” Siger, sowhat dissatisfied, “For you, perhaps it’s convenient, but what if your whereabouts were to be discovered? How would you explain it?”

“Don’t worry, with my ability, it’s impossible for anyone to find .”

“Are you sure?” Siger said, “Can you guarantee one hundred percent that no one will detect you? What if there’s an accident? How would you deal with it, kill the person who discovers you? Hmph, if I rember correctly, you promised last ti that without my permission, you would not arbitrarily kill my people again, right? Do you know how much effort it took for to find another suitable candidate after you killed my assistant Linda last ti?!”

“I…” The Black Robed Man was sowhat at a loss for words, “Alright, alright, I admit my mistake, isn’t that enough, my Vice Dean?”

“Whether you make mistakes or not, I don’t care,” Siger stated seriously, “What concerns is whether or not you abide by the rules. If you’re going to break every agreent, then I really doubt your sincerity and whether collaborating with you is a good choice.”

“Yes, yes, yes, I promise it won’t happen again next ti, alright?” the Black Robed Man said helplessly, “Now let’s discuss the main matter at hand, like how things are going on your end?”

“Everything is going smoothly,” Siger responded succinctly, “Unlike you, I am responsible for everything I do, so all is proceeding according to plan.”

“The people from White Stone Tower?” the Black Robed Man inquired further.

“They’ve already left, they should be in contact with the rest of the Wizard Organizations by now, results will soon be seen.”

“That is indeed good,” the Black Robed Man nodded, “By the way, what about the old man above you, when is he planning to make his move? The resources we provided for you are already in place.”

“That’s none of your business, I have my plans, and when it’s ti to act, I will naturally do so.”

“Whatever you say,” the Black Robed Man shrugged, “But I would remind you, it’s best to do it quickly. If it drags on for too long, problems are likely to arise.”

“I know better than you,” Siger said.

“In that case…” the Black Robed Man was about to say more when footsteps suddenly sounded outside the door, followed by a knock.

“Knock, knock, knock!”

“Vice Dean Siger, are you there?”

Inside the office, Siger looked at the Black Robed Man with a piercing gaze.

The Black Robed Man spread his hands, a look of understanding on his face, and with a “poof,” turned into a wisp of black smoke and dissipated.

Only then did Siger call out to the outside, asking, “What’s the matter?”

“Well, Vice Dean Siger, Dean Mason is calling for you, says there’s sothing to discuss with you.”

“Is it urgent?” Siger asked.

“It seems pretty urgent,” the voice outside replied.

Siger was silent, thought for a mont, then walked to the office wall and pressed on it, revealing a small hidden drawer.

The drawer held a delicately crafted box, which he opened, and inside was a crimson Ring.

Taking out the Ring and putting it on his finger, he restored the drawer to its original state and stepped out the door, glancing at the ssenger, “As it happens, I also have matters to discuss with Dean Mason. Let’s go.”

“Yes.”

Sowhere on the East Coast, an underground hall.

Deep in the hall, in a plush seat, Muse was lying with half-closed eyes, drowsily.

Dressed in a Blue Robe, Franklin stood in front of Muse, reporting recent developnts with a brisk tone.

“Target one completed, targets three, four, six, eight, and nine also completed. Targets two, five, and seven, the rest are still in progress, but close to completion. So far, everything is going smoothly…”

Hearing this, Muse suddenly opened his eyes, giving Franklin a serious look, and asked, “Really everything is going smoothly? No problems whatsoever?”

“This—” A flush crept onto Franklin’s face, looking at Muse’s expression which seed not too bad, carefully saying, “It’s smooth indeed, but as for problems, there are so.”

“Let’s hear them then.”

“Yes,” Franklin said, “The problem arose in Dulu Mountain. There’s a hidden Wizard Organization called the Quicken Institute. The strength of this Wizard Organization isn’t great, not comparable to the main targets, not even secondary targets, mostly composed of Wizard Apprentices and Low-level Wizards. However, their leader is a Second-level Wizard Peak and possesses quite a few Pieces of Ancient Magic not to be underestimated.

Based on our predictions, it’s very likely that they won’t act according to our plan, and after the plan, there will be many variables affecting the final outco. Killing their leader is the simplest thod, yet their survival capabilities are strong, making it difficult to kill. So…”

“Troubleso,” Muse muttered, but her body slowly rose from the seat, standing up, and looked at Franklin, asking directly, “Location.”

“It’s in Duluke Mountain, north of Florence, along the Fister River shore…”

“Be more specific, I don’t want to make a trip for nothing,” Muse said.

“Uh—” Franklin froze for a mont, hastily turned his head toward a mber of the team, and made a gesture.

The team mber imdiately took out a Crystal Ball and handed it over.

“Snap!”

Muse took the Crystal Ball, glanced at it cursorily, and then crushed it with a “crash.”

“Wait for it!”

Muse left these words, transford into a gust of wind, and in an instant, dashed out of the conference hall.

Those in the hall looked at each other, then continued their heads-down work, not daring to slack, while Franklin sat down at a table to the side, working and waiting.

After so indeterminate amount of ti had passed.

“Bang!”

The door to the hall was opened, and Muse walked in, flinging her arm, a human head rolled “gurgle” to Franklin’s feet.

“What you said was not wrong, that old man does have quite a few life-saving tricks, but… hmph, that’s all they were, a slightly larger ant. Keep this head as a collectible; as for the rest… continue with the plans.”

“Yes,” Franklin looked at Muse with awe, bowing deeply in response.
