Chapter 561: Chapter 559: Realization, the Third Party!

Dim underground space.

Puster and the witch from White Mist City looked at each other in a strange ambiance, maintaining a lengthy silence, as if the one to speak first would lose.

Eventually, Puster couldn’t hold back and broke the stalemate, “You co from White Mist City, while I co from Black Evil Castle—yes, indeed from Black Evil Castle. If I’m not mistaken, we should both have the sa goal, and that’s Guluo’s Holy Land Key, right?”

“You’re not being foolish this ti,” the witch retorted coldly, looking at Puster, “Indeed, I ca to obtain Guluo’s Holy Land Key.”

“Did you get it?” Puster imdiately demanded, his eyes impassioned.

“Ha!” The witch looked at Puster’s expression, laughed out loud, and after a few seconds, her expression turned solemn, “Of course, I didn’t get it!”

Puster was taken aback, raised his eyebrows, and said to the witch, “You didn’t get it? You think I would believe that?”

“Wouldn’t you believe it?” the witch shot back, gazing directly at Puster.

Their eyes t in midair, as if they were communicating and competing at the sa ti. After a mont, as if they both sensed the true thoughts in each other’s hearts, the corners of their mouths curved up, laughing simultaneously.

“Ha, hahaha!”

“Ha, hahaha!”

Their laughter grew louder, and just as it peaked, Puster waved his hand and a purple-red fla condensed in his palm, blasting unapologetically towards the witch.

The witch showed no sign of surprise, first blocking the attack with an energy shield, then with a flick of her hand, several half-ter-long green Wind Blades flew out, slashing towards Puster’s neck.

Puster used Wind Magic to defend and then cast Lightning at the witch, who in turn concentrated the air into a purplish-black whip, lashing viciously at him.

The two fought fiercely, shouting as they battled.

“Hand over the Holy Land Key, you wretched woman, or I swear I’ll kill you!”

“Hmph, I told you I don’t have it! Besides, even if I did, I wouldn’t give it to you!”

“It looks like you want to die!”

“I think you’re the one who wants to die! I had everything planned perfectly, and you ssed it up. I’m going to tear you to pieces! Woosh!”

“What do you an ‘everything was planned perfectly’? My plans were much better. If it weren’t for you getting in the way, there would have been no need for all this trouble. Die, you lowly tavern wench! Boom!”

“You die! Bang!”

“No, you die! Boom!”

In the underground space, magic spells flew chaotically, resplendent with light, and the rumbling sounds were incessant. Dirt from the walls crumbled down as if an earthquake had occurred.

Puster and the witch paid no attention to anything else, not believing a single word the other said, both solely focused on killing each other. The power of their Spells surged, and the battle reached a fever pitch, both straining to muster the last bit of Mana from their Magic Origins to launch an attack at their foe.

Just like that, it continued until…

“Boom!”

Another thunderous explosion rocked the underground space several tis. After unleashing an imnsely powerful Spell, both Puster and the witch were left in a weakened state.

In two corners, dozens of ters apart in the underground space, the two, as if by so tacit agreent, stopped Casting and remained on guard, desperately trying to recover their Mana, Physical Strength, and Spiritual Power, ready to resu the battle once they had sufficiently recuperated.

“Huff huff huff—”

“Huff huff huff—”

They glared at each other while gasping for air when the witch suddenly picked up on sothing, tilting her head slightly before looking towards Puster and saying, “You… huff… where is the student you sent in earlier?”

“Hmm?” Puster was taken aback, not understanding why the witch would suddenly ask about this, suspecting a plot, and replied coldly, “Huff… huff… wasn’t he killed by you? Why do you need to ask ?!”

“That’s not right!” the witch cried out, her voice piercing, “I did attack him and saw him fall with my own eyes, right there on the ground. But now, he’s gone!”

“Huh? How is that possible?” Puster gave a quick glance towards the spot the witch had indicated, then imdiately averted his gaze, wary of a surprise attack. He was nonchalant about Richard’s missing corpse and said, “You crazy woman, perhaps you’re just misrembering, or maybe the aftermath of a Spell blasted him sowhere else. What’s there to make a big fuss about!”

“Impossible!” The witch, after hearing Puster’s words, beca highly vigilant and shouted, “It’s absolutely not as you said! I’m not like you, you fool; I rember every detail of the battle clearly!

The Spells never affected his body. Or rather, from the very start of the battle, his body was already not there!”

“This!” Upon hearing the witch’s assertive words and seeing she was in no mood for jokes, Puster frowned, feeling a surge of suspicion. He thought hard and suddenly recalled many overlooked details from his previous encounters with Richard.

For one, there was the vest Richard wore—Puster had tested it several tis before, and the vest would definitely explode if activated with a Crystal Ball.

But why then, when Richard wore it, did it fail to detonate? It was activated three tis in a row with no response.

Besides, Richard’s performance during his training seed too smooth, yes, too easy. Everything about the training was going as he had planned, and Richard himself had shown no resistance, which was highly unusual. After all, Puster didn’t believe Richard couldn’t see the problems in his plan. He had prepared many powerful suppression asures, yet he hadn’t needed to use any of them, which was not normal.

Could it be!

Suddenly, Puster had an extrely ominous hunch, his expression changed, and he vehently turned his head, scanning the surroundings with wide eyes while muttering to himself, “Could it be that kid is not an ordinary fellow? Could it be he has so unspeakable other motives? Could it be he has been pretending all along? Damn it, where could he be, where… ah!”

All at once, Puster’s voice stopped abruptly. He clearly felt sothing hard pressed against his back and, seeing the expression on the distant witch, he almost instantly knew sothing—the person he was looking for was right behind him.

This!

Puster’s breathing beca rapid, uncertain of Richard’s strength, but considering that Richard had managed to silently approach him in his weakened state, he was obviously not weak. Hence, if he wanted to counter, he had to be cautious; that was the only way he might escape the predicant.

Having made up his mind, Puster slowly raised his hands and addressed the unseen person behind him, “Kid, listen to , I never really had any ill will towards you. I don’t know what you want to do, but if you’re willing to cooperate with and kill that woman over there, in exchange, I can help you with sothing of equal value. How does that sound, fair, isn’t it? Now we can just… die!”
