Chapter 523: Chapter 521: Sword Explosion Technique!
“Ha ha!” Mu’en laughed, looking at the tall figure and laughing uncontrollably.
The tall figure frowned and looked at Mu’en with a buzzing voice, “Kid, what are you laughing at?”
“I’m laughing at your stupidity,” Mu’en said. “You think that I might appear in this area, so you’ve been guarding here, and finally, you succeeded in running into . Don’t you think that’s too coincidental?”
“What do you an?”
“What I an is that everything I did was intentional. I deliberately let you discover , deliberately led you here. Ha ha, don’t you think this is a good place for killing and burying a body? This is the graveyard I chose for you.”
“Hey!” The tall figure looked at Mu’en and scoffed, “Do you think you can kill ?”
“How will we know if we don’t try?” Mu’en said sowhat playfully.
“It seems you’ve been scared stupid, actually thinking you can kill ! Hmph, then let show you my true strength!” The tall figure, clearly angered, swung his arm, gathering a fistful of purple energy, ready to deliver a fatal blow to Mu’en.
But at that mont, with a “pfft” sound, a slender sword appeared behind the tall figure, piercing straight through his body, and protruding from his lower abdon—completely through.
The tall figure’s body shook violently; he turned and saw that, at so unknown ti, a third party had appeared behind him, blending into the night as one. He hadn’t felt any breath from this person at all, and thus, had had no defense.
This!
Damn!
The tall figure cursed out loud, in pain from the injury, as the purple energy group in his hand dissipated. Fearing another strike from the third party, he gritted his teeth, dodged to the side, and glared at Mu’en and the newcor.
“Damn kids, damn sneaks! I’m going to make both of you pay! Did you think that just a sword could seriously injure ?” The tall figure snarled, “You’ve thought too much, my strength is much greater than yours, just a sword can’t hurt my core!”
“Is that so?” Richard looked at the tall figure and spoke calmly, “I believe this sword has already caused you serious injury, after all, this is no ordinary sword.”
“Not an ordinary sword?” The tall figure first paused, his face changing as he felt the sword still embedded in his body vibrating continuously. Initially, he had ignored it due to the pain, but upon being reminded, he noticed.
What situation is this?
Out of caution, the tall figure hurried to pull out the sword from his body, but before his hands could touch the blade, a “boom” erupted.
The tall figure scread miserably, his abdon exploding, his upper body instantly separating from his lower body.
“Bang!”
Under the force of the impact, the upper body of the tall figure was thrown high up before crashing down hard on the ground. However, he was not dead yet.
The eyes of the tall figure were wide open, burning with a strong desire to survive. He tried to crawl on the ground, aiming to reach his lower half and reattach it to his maid upper half.
But Richard didn’t give him the chance. He walked over to the tall figure’s upper half, took out a dagger made of 237 alloy, and after channeling free-flowing Energy Elents into it, he plunged it straight into the tall figure’s heart, pinning him to the ground.
In an instant, another explosion sounded, and the upper body of the tall figure was completely pulverized.
Richard walked emotionlessly towards Mu’en.
anwhile, Mu’en, having seen Richard’s thod of killing the tall figure, was not particularly surprised, or perhaps he had grown accustod to it. No matter what astonishing thing Richard produced, it seed mundane to him.
However, the appearance of the tall figure had put so pressure on him, leaving him feeling sowhat heavy-hearted, and he hesitated over whether or not to continue investigating the other party’s organization according to the plan.
At that mont, Richard spoke to Mu’en: “From what we see now, these people are a bit more formidable than I estimated—Previously in the south, I had so contact with so of their mbers. Here in Florence City, it’s likely another more difficult bunch.”
“What should I do then, Lord Richard?”
“Lie low for a while. Since they’re onto you, there’s no need to take risks—As for the investigation into these people, stop it from now on. We’ll resu when there’s an opportunity. Otherwise, if they start investigating us and turn the tables, it would be bad.
For other tasks, delegate them to soone trustworthy. Break off contact with everyone for so ti, that will ensure your safety.”
“Like this…” Mu’en’s eyes flickered, and finally, he nodded, “Alright, I’ll listen to you, Lord Richard. Then, we’ll… et in a month.”
“See you in a month.” Richard waved his hand.
Mu’en made a decision and left swiftly and decisively. Richard turned his head and looked toward the courtyard where the remnants of the tall figure’s body lay… Well, body fragnts.
…
The night continued.
Inside Eden.
Sitting in a corner of a barely repaired room, Pandora was looking at a scroll. On the scroll were densely packed text and numbers, constituting a problem.
At this mont, Pandora was deeply furrowing her brow, biting her lip, tugging at her hair, showing a resistant expression. Her eyes were fixed on a part of the scroll, continuously muttering, “So hard, so much harder than the Multiplication Table!”
On the side, Richard stood in front of a table, hands pressed on the surface, body bent, as if he hadn’t heard Pandora’s words. He was seriously looking at several pieces of paper with a very special texture on the table. The papers bore fragnted text and drawings, as if recording so information—these were searched out from the deceased tall figure’s Space Iron Ring.
After staring at the content for a while, Richard muttered to himself, “Is this so investigation into the secrets of the Black Spirit King? Or am I overthinking it? Hmm… If it’s true, then it could be a different approach to handle things, but for now, I must be cautious, double-check…”
…
Elsewhere.
In an underground hall on the East Coast.
The beautiful Steward of the Mysterious Organization—Muse—once again sat on her plush seat, tapped her fingers on the table, and softly said, “Water.”
The mont her voice fell, a tall, skinny Franklin, dressed in a Blue Robe, quickly appeared, offering up honey petal water at just the right temperature, respectfully saying, “Muse Housekeeper, your water.”
“Hmm.” Muse nodded, took a sip of the water, was satisfied, and noted, “Good, your skills are getting better.”
“All thanks to Muse Housekeeper’s guidance.”
“Heh.” Muse smiled and inquired, “By the way, that target… the one labeled number 378 that I ntioned before, how’s that going?”
“Reporting to Muse Housekeeper, it has been taken care of, no issues whatsoever.” Franklin quickly answered, with a very sincere expression, as if there was nothing to hide.
