Chapter 292: Chapter 291: Decryption, the Number Code in the Symbol! Chapter 292: Chapter 291: Decryption, the Number Code in the Symbol! The burly black man followed Richard to the upper level of the bookstore with so trepidation, but to his relief, Richard didn’t reveal his “offensive behavior” to the shop owner Hadi and left the bookstore directly.

After leaving the bookstore, Richard quickly exited the Underground Market and returned to the laboratory.

Laboratory, main lab.

Richard laid out the eight books he had purchased in a row on the table, his eyes shining with certainty about his previous conjecture.

Of the eight books, three were copies of “Path to Nobility” that he already owned, with codes from the Black Spirit Empire emblem being 1, 2, and 25 respectively. Three were copies of “My Autobiography – Moratos” that he already owned, with codes of 18, 27, and 36 respectively. One was a copy of “Blood and Fire” that he already owned, with the code being 20. The last one was a magic book called “Soul Wail,” with the code being 5.

Together with the books he had already owned, a tally revealed the following:

There were five copies of “My Autobiography – Moratos,” with codes being 9, 18, 27, 27, and 36, which at first glance look like multiples of 9, displaying a certain regularity, but this didn’t seem to apply to the other books.

For example, “Path to Nobility” currently had four copies with codes of 1, 2, 25, and 34. There seed to be no regular relationship between these four codes.

Similarly, “Blood and Fire” had two copies with codes of 11 and 20, which also appeared to have no regular relationship.

Finally, “Soul Wail” had a code of 5, which we leave aside for now.

In any case, the twelve books, divided into four categories, seed to be chaotically interconnected.

But Richard, looking at these books, smiled slightly and muttered to himself, “It seems it really is this way, quite the coincidence. Without my previous actions, it would have been very hard to guess.”

The twelve books of the four categories were connected, in Richard’s view, by a very tight connection.

Take “My Autobiography – Moratos” for instance, the five codes are 9, 18, 27, 27, and 36.

So one could calculate like this:

9 9=18, 18 81=99;

18 81=99;

27 72=99;

27 72=99;

36 63=99.

Palindros! Lickerel Numbers! This was the content he had discussed with Great Scholar Socrates, hidden in the last page of the books, the connection within the Black Spirit Empire emblem!

What about the codes of the other categories of books? They could be verified in the sa way.

Take “Path to Nobility,” which had codes of 1, 2, 25, and 34. The Lickerel Number verification would go like this:

1 1=2, 2 2=4, 4 4=8, 8 8=16, 16 61=77;

2 2=4, 4 4=8, 8 8=16, 16 61=77;

25 52=77;

34 43=77.

Then “Blood and Fire,” with codes 11 and 20. The Lickerel Number verification would be:

11 11=22;

20 02 (2)=22.

And lastly the new book “Soul Wail” with code 5. The Lickerel Number verification would be:

5 5=10, 10 01 (1)=11;

Because 11 had a different palindro final number than the other three categories of books, it was a different type of book.

Of course, there were quite a few issues to take into consideration.

First, if the connection between the numbers in so-called books really were palindros and Lickerel Numbers, then how to explain that the current Wizard World had no knowledge of palindros or Lickerel Numbers? Previously, knowledge of palindros and Lickerel Numbers was sothing he had shared with Great Scholar Socrates.

Could it be that such knowledge didn’t exist in the current era, but did in the past during the Black Spirit Empire? If so, did the Black Spirit Empire possess a higher level of mathematics and other areas of knowledge that the world subsequently lost due to so decline after the empire’s fall?

Second, according to modern Earth mathematics, strict palindros include single numbers like 1, 2, 3, etc., because 1 is the sa whether read from left to right or right to left, fitting the definition of a palindro. However, our current theory of palindros and Lickerel Numbers excludes single numbers, with the smallest starting at 11, and there are many other small differences in details.

Could it be that the mathematics of the forr Black Spirit Empire differed from Earth’s? So, should the so-called “connection of palindros and Lickerel Numbers” actually be considered a “modified version of palindros and Lickerel Numbers”?

Regardless, the connections do seem to exist in this manner for now.

Based on this thod, considering no codes over 40 have appeared, we can limit the code range to within 40 for so calculations.

With this calculation, the Lickerel Number verification process would reveal eleven Black Spirit Empire version palindros ranging from smallest to largest as 11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88, 99, 121, and 363.

Currently, the palindro number 11 for “Soul Wail,” palindro number 22 for “Blood and Fire,” palindro number 77 for “Path to Nobility,” and palindro number 99 for “My Autobiography – Moratos” have been acquired.

The remaining ones involve the 7 palindros of 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 88, 121, and 363, covering 29 codes.

This ans that, at worst, 29 more books with different codes must be found in order to try to unravel the secrets of White Stone Tower and the Black Spirit King. However, optimistically, at least 7 books representing each palindro number must be found.

The way ahead is long and arduous…

Richard sighed and pondered deeply.

As he thought, the night grew deep.

Deep into the night, sowhere in the slums of White Stone City.

Two n walked quickly with their heads lowered.

The one in front was tall and broad, with a fierce look and a scar on his face that added an air of caution to those who saw him. The man behind was skinny and an-looking, exuding a sleaziness that seed to seep into his very bones.

As they walked, they talked.

The skinny man asked the bigger one, “Lance, are you sure the thing you ntioned will work?”

The big man replied, “Heit, when have I ever lied to you? I say it works, it works. This ti, you pay the mbership fee and successfully join, and you’ll be under my rank. That way, I just happen to have enough subordinates to be promoted to vice departnt head, and you beco an official mber.

Rember, Heit, Winkle Chairman is a real big shot, and he’s here out of kindness to help us. You can’t slack off just because you’ve joined. You must earnestly heed the teachings of Winkle Chairman, work hard, and recruit more people to the association. That way, our Black Gold Association will beco stronger, and you and I can rise to higher positions.

Now let explain again, if one can’t recruit anyone, they remain the lowest-ranking mber forever. If soone recruits three people, they can beco a vice group leader; gather three vice group leaders, and you can beco an official group leader. Above that is the vice departnt head that I’m advancing to, then departnt head. Even further up are the deputy branch president, official branch president, and vice president.

In short, the harder you work, the more you gain. Winkle Chairman has said that once you beco vice president, you’re eligible to sit at the sa level as him and co-manage the entire Black Gold Association. In addition to this, Knox’s castle and Pister’s extensive territory can also be shared with us.”

The big man looked at the skinny one, seemingly inspired by his own words, his gaze intense as he said, “In short, if you work hard, you can rise above the rest! Understand?!”

Understand?!
