Chapter 172: Chapter 171: Peeping? Unintentional

Many days had passed.

At night, in the cabin where Richard resided.

The cabin was illuminated, and Richard held the Silver-White Ring he had obtained from the auction in Cuijin City, caressing it in his hand. It wasn’t exactly caressing, as it involved occasional touches with the surface of the Space Iron Ring.

The “Absolute Spatial Precision” of the Space Iron Ring was taking effect; Richard kept the precision at a microter level and, in accordance with research over the past few days, was engraving precise Magic Runes on the Silver-White Ring.

“Shasha…”

The number of Magic Runes on the surface of the Silver-White Ring continued to increase, becoming more complex, but each line was orderly arranged, organically combined with each other, finally forming an integral masterpiece.

“Huh,” Richard exhaled deeply, stopping his hand movents, and looking at the finished Silver-White Ring, he lifted his hand to wipe the sweat from his face.

It must be said, even just engraving a simplest Zero-Circle Magic—”Wind Force” on the Silver-White Ring, due to the reduced engraving area, took a long ti to plan and required a trendous amount of effort, more difficult than engraving ten White Jade Plates under normal circumstances.

But it was worth it; solidifying “Wind Force” onto the Silver-White Ring ensured an almost instant casting speed and a near hundred percent success rate in future casting of the Spell. Depending on the situation, Richard could adjust the number of tis the spell was released, opt to layer the “Wind Force” effects, and achieve different levels of enhanced power, which would play a significant role.

The Silver-White Ring also had room for further optimization. Since the area for the “Wind Force” rune had been deliberately minimized, other spells could be engraved in the future.

Richard had confird two spells to combine with “Wind Force” on the Silver-White Ring; they were “Wind Light Spirit” and “Pearce’s Spiritual Sensitivity Technique.” Combined, the Silver-White Ring would beco a complete physical enhancent Magic Ring, making the body stronger, faster, and more responsive, which would give a significant advantage in close combat.

Richard decided to na this Silver-White Ring as “No.1 Ring,” with the serial number “F1-1,” aning Level F No.1 Ring, first version.

It was foreseeable that later, there would be “No.2 Ring,” “No.3 Ring,” and even “Dozens of Rings” with serial numbers evolving from “F1-1” to “E1-2”, “D2-3”, “C3-4”, “B4-5”, “A5-6”, “S6-7” and so forth.

Putting the Silver-White Ring on the middle finger of his right hand, Richard tried to input Free Energy Elents. The spell was successfully activated; his body slightly intensified, and the air surged as if an invisible exoskeleton augnted his body, substantially increasing his strength.

Richard swung his arm, feeling the enhancent, and nodded in satisfaction. After dispersing the spell, however, a wave of fatigue hit him.

After a long period of work, even Richard felt sowhat tired, not ntally, but physically, since he wasn’t a robot.

He stretched his arms and moved his neck, causing a series of “bone-creaking” sounds.

Richard turned his head and glanced aside, only to see Pandora occupying the large bed, sleeping soundly. If he dared to squeeze in next to her now and “sleep side-by-side,” accidentally waking her up might lead her to tear the entire cabin apart.

After all, the resentnt she had harbored from playing video gas a few days ago had not yet subsided.

So… for safety’s sake…

Richard sighed, sat down on the chair, slightly leaned back, stretched out his body, and closed his eyes.

Darkness, endless darkness enveloped him, his body fell into a deep sleep, while his consciousness gradually beca active.

Vibration!

The vibration intensified!

Separation!

Separation successful!

Richard felt his Consciousness detach from the physical constraints of his body and float up. He looked back at the cabin and saw that everything was normal; Pandora continued to sleep, and his body lay motionless on the chair.

After checking, Richard controlled his Spiritual Body to float upwards and easily passed through the wooden planks between the second and third layers of cabins, reaching the top cabin.

The top cabin was empty, uninhabited, filled with dust and moss.

Richard didn’t mind these as he continued to control his body to float upward, passing through another plank to reach the cabin just below the deck.

This cabin was significantly different from the one where Richard stayed:

First, it was much larger, easily three tis the size of Richard’s, not at all cramped.

Second, it was fully furnished with all the necessities for a comfortable life.

At that mont, a girl—soone he knew—Nancy, was sleeping in this cabin.

Richard was not surprised by this; it wasn’t his first ti ditating out-of-body.

He briefly glanced at Nancy lying on the bed, noticing that her sleeping posture was not very ladylike—only slightly better than Pandora’s.

Perhaps because the cabins below deck had no windows, the air was stuffy, and currently, Nancy wore only a thin nightgown, reclining on the bed, her contoured figure outlined. Originally, a light blanket covered her, but it had been kicked off substantially, exposing her white legs, arms, and shoulders. The dress at the collar was inadvertently undone; had the angle been different, he would clearly see the beauty inside.

If Richard had wanted, given the Consciousness’s ability to influence the real world, he could have done sothing wicked, sothing colorful without being discovered, yet… Richard wasn’t interested.

After quickly looking at Nancy, Richard controlled his Consciousness to continue floating upward to the deck.

On the deck, Richard saw several white stripes connected to Consciousnesses, floating mid-air and belonging to the Wizard Apprentices from various cabins below.

These Wizard Apprentices’ Consciousnesses were all eyes closed, slowly drifting a few ters above their cabins, absorbing the Free Energy Elents from the sky.

Clearly, their external perception was non-existent, or very weak.

Through several cautious ditative out-of-body experiences, Richard had reached a conclusion:

Whether Wizard Apprentices or Wizards, their ditation wasn’t like his; it was more similar to Gro’s.

Gro’s past out-of-body ditative performance was extrely poor. Richard had initially thought it was due to Gro’s lack of Talent, but now he determined that it wasn’t Gro’s inadequacy, rather the general populace in this world were typically like this.

Yes, typically like this.

Generally speaking, for an untrained Apprentice like Luther— even under the guidance of Wizard Siv—the success rate of out-of-body ditation was only about one in ten, much like Gro using an Ether Potion—the gap in Talent was sowhat offset by the Ether Potion.

A First-level Apprentice, like Nancy, the success rate of separation was rely half; thus, almost every two attempts resulted in one seeing Nancy fail her out-of-body ditation sleep and another witnessing Nancy’s successful out-of-body Consciousness. At such tis, greeting Nancy would result in no response, just like the initial Gro.

A Second-level Apprentice, like a few on the deck in their cabins, would have an increased success rate, around four out of five.

For a Third-level Apprentice, like Wizard Siv’s direct disciple Demi, the success rate could reach more than nine out of ten.

And for a Wizard, the success rate of separation could be nearly one hundred percent, but not truly one hundred percent. Under special circumstances, Wizards too could fail their out-of-body ditation due to factors like excessive fatigue or significant ntal fluctuations.

This is the state of out-of-body experiences in the Wizard World.
