The scene was quiet for a mont.
Ken, who had been watching the drama unfold from the side, glanced at Bi Bi, who was now in two pieces, and looked at Richard with so confusion, asking, "What’s going on here? You saved her and then suddenly killed her? That was a quick turnaround!"
"She revealed herself as the enemy; what else could I do?" Richard said, spreading his hands. "If she were just a bit silly, I might pity her. If she were simply an enemy, I’d fight her. But she’s both silly and an enemy, and she revealed her identity without acting, just kept staring at as if to see how long I’d hold back. So this was all I could do."
"Uh..." Ken listened and didn’t know what to say for a mont, just looked at Bi Bi’s headless body with the pitying gaze of soone caring for a child of limited capacity.
Just then, a voice suddenly arose, loudly arguing with so anger, "I’m not silly! I’m not silly at all! I just wanted to see how I should react from your response, but you reacted too fast and didn’t give ti to respond!"
"Huh?"
"Huh?"
Ken and Richard turned their heads almost simultaneously, looking towards the back of... a head under a tree not far away.
The back of the head spoke, "Co over here! Co over here!"
"For what?" Richard asked.
"Co over and turn my face around; I want to talk to you," the back of the head said loudly.
The tone was so natural that even Ken, who had lived so long, was a little bemused: Hey, this isn’t just a little silly; this is outright stupid.
Richard opened his mouth, wanting to say sothing, but in the end, said nothing. He waved his hand, the air surged, and the head turned to reveal Bi Bi’s face.
At this ti, Bi Bi’s face was very angry, glaring at Richard, "You jerk! Why didn’t you give a chance to react, why didn’t you let make a move?"
"Why should I give you a chance? Why should I let you make a move?" Richard asked in surprise, "We’re enemies."
"This..." Bi Bi was stunned for a mont, silent for a few seconds, and then reflected, "Well, right, we are enemies. Indeed, I shouldn’t have been given a chance."
Standing nearby, Ken had already concluded in his mind: this was a complete idiot.
Bi Bi’s eyeballs slowly turned in their sockets as if contemplating sothing, and after a while, she muttered, "So does that an I failed without making a move? Which ans, you’re very strong. I wonder why Lord ’Dead Sea’ told back then to stay away from you and not to engage closely; it all makes sense now."
Ken: "..." Fell silent.
Richard: "..." His expression beca sowhat odd.
Bi Bi continued to mutter, "In that case, I probably can’t go back to Lord ’Dead Sea.’ After all, it’s my disobedience that led to the mission’s failure. And if he finds out that I was goofing off before the mission, I might get completely dismantled."
Bi Bi blinked her eyes, then thought of sothing, and suddenly turned her eyes to Richard, proposing with utmost seriousness, "Why don’t I... just not go back, and stay with you, how about that? You’re so powerful, and if the people from the ’Truth Society’ co looking, you can fend them off, so I won’t be scared and can have a great ti."
Listening to this, Ken was dumbfounded; in all his long life, he had never seen such a peculiar existence as Bi Bi.
Richard’s eyebrows twitched a few tis; he also doubted if he had misunderstood, "Do you an you’ve surrendered? You’ve betrayed the ’Truth Society’?"
"Is that what’s called ’surrender’ and ’betrayal’?" Bi Bi asked. "Well then, okay, I’ll ’surrender’ and ’betray.’ Is that okay?"
Is that okay???
"I’m afraid it’s not a matter of whether it’s okay or not," Richard deeply furrowed his brows. "It’s a matter of whether it’s logical. I’m very clear that the ’Truth Society’ is an organization that values loyalty. For soone like you, outright failure on a mission and imdiately ’surrendering’ and ’betraying’ doesn’t seem like a mber of the Truth Society, or even a normal person."
"I was never a normal person," Bi Bi admitted frankly, "In fact, I’m not even a human being; I’m a puppet. If you don’t believe , you can check. Many parts of look human but are actually made from magic materials and magic runes; that’s why even with my head off, I can still talk to you."
Upon hearing this, without waiting for Richard to make a move, Ken imdiately started inspecting Bi Bi’s headless body. After checking for a while, he confird that Bi Bi was telling the truth, nodded at Richard, and showed a relieved expression: As expected, being this stupid isn’t normal for a sentient being but is rather a creation of a craftsman. Craftsman creations being this dumb is reasonable.
Bi Bi continued looking at Richard, "Believe it now? I really am a puppet, so don’t treat like an ordinary person. I am who I am."
"Even so, surrendering and betraying so easily shouldn’t be," Richard said.
"That’s not my fault," Bi Bi replied, "It’s all the fault of the one who made . I’m just a puppet; I was made this way and can’t resist it. They made with little sense of loyalty from the start, so what can I do?"
This logic is really... hard to refute.
Richard pondered for a mont and chose not to easily trust, saying coldly, "If that truly is the case—that you have no loyalty, designed this way from the start—I have no choice but to suspect that your surrender is a conspiracy.
Perhaps the ’Truth Society’ wants to use so thod to plant you beside , turning you into a pawn. Although the probability is small, I must be cautious. From a safety perspective, accepting your surrender and keeping you around is useless and presents potential risks. It’s better to eliminate you."
"No, no, no, don’t!" Bi Bi cried out excitedly upon hearing that, "I don’t know if the way I was made is a conspiracy, but staying with you is beneficial; it truly is!
Regardless of whether the ’Truth Society’ wants to use to gain sothing from you, I can provide you with information about them. I can even tell you the location of Lord ’Dead Sea’... or rather, that Dead Sea scoundrel.
You know, the big Dead Sea scoundrel was seriously injured before and has been in a state of deep recovery with no resistance ability. Once you locate him, you can easily kill him, truly, I’m absolutely not lying!
And besides that, I can also work for you—I can learn whatever I don’t know. My learning ability is strong; if you don’t believe , ask the people at the casino! I have many other capabilities that can help you. In short, keeping is very useful to you."
At the end, Bi Bi rembered sothing, and solemnly added, "Oh, and if I stay, you have to let play—you can’t have working all the ti; at least half a day each day should be for playing. If I can’t play, you might as well kill ; after all, days without play are about the sa as being dead."
Richard: "..." looked at Bi Bi, silent for a long ti.
To be honest, whether human or puppet, he’d never seen soone so shaless, brainless, and unpredictable.
While she could provide new information on the Truth Society, or even reveal the location of the Colorful Rings’ manager ’Dead Sea,’ which is indeed valuable, her strange personality leads to unpredictability and potential risks that cannot be ignored.
Thus...
Richard hesitated for a mont, looking at Bi Bi, who was eagerly waiting for his answer, and sighed, "Let think, let think it over before I give you an answer."
"Oh, okay... By the way, while you’re thinking, could you scratch the back of this body? I can’t control it right now, but the back feels a bit itchy."
