Capítulo 1187: Chapter 1185: I’m Fine

Deep in the forest, in the realm of Tin Wood.

Richard stepped out of the cave and walked towards Tin Wood, catching a strong scent of blood from dozens of ters away, which made him frown involuntarily.

Quickening his pace, he approached Tin Wood and spotted a wolf with silver-white fur lying at its feet. The white wolf bore tens of piercing wounds all over its body, as if it had been attacked by a volley of arrows, yet there were no arrowheads or shafts. Moreover, the edges of the wounds were serrated, which was very peculiar.

A few ters away, the tall gray wolf he had seen before was now looking at the white wolf with worry, occasionally glancing at Tin Wood.

Tin Wood remained silent, lowering branches from its canopy to form arms, which it placed on the white wolf’s wounds.

Pale green energy erged from its palms, gradually infusing into the white wolf and healing the wounds, though the process was slow. Sotis, so strange energy seed to disrupt the healing, causing freshly repaired wounds to suddenly break open and bleed profusely, and thus wasting Tin Wood’s efforts.

However, Tin Wood did not get angry, only kept a somber expression, continuing to heal the white wolf.

Richard observed for a while, furrowing his brows and asked Tin Wood aloud: “What’s going on here?”

“It’s nothing serious, just one of my specially nurtured demonized beasts got hurt by other demonized beasts in the forest, and I’m healing it now.” Tin Wood replied, showing no emotion in its voice.

Richard blinked, not easily dismissed, and looked at the injured white wolf a few more tis, especially scrutinizing its wounds, and pursued further: “Ordinary demonized beasts wouldn’t inflict such wounds, would they? This doesn’t look like sothing caused by a spell but rather by so sort of special insect’s mouthparts.”

“What injured it was a type of demonized insect, a kind I particularly despise.” Tin Wood spoke, its tone slightly raised, revealing a hint of hidden anger, “Hmph, these insects wouldn’t dare enter my core area, otherwise I’d eliminate them all.”

“Eliminate them all?” Richard’s eyes flashed, catching on to the key information, he looked seriously at Tin Wood and asked, “Are there many demonized insects? By the way, you haven’t run into any trouble recently, have you? I see fewer guardian creatures around you, is this the reason? I happen to have so free ti now, if you can’t handle it yourself, I can help.”

Tin Wood listened and cast a glance his way, its voice grumbling, “Boy, keep your kindness to yourself, I am the great Tree Sage, the Forest Source, the Immortal Guardian–Yuketrahill Alhaydon Ximu!

I do admit the forest I currently reside in is much larger than the previous one, with quite a few troubleso demonized creatures and special life forms living within. However, in my eyes, they are rely small issues. If they really anger , I can easily eliminate them all, no need for your assistance.”

“Really?”

“Of course, really.”

“But speaking of which,” Tin Wood softened its tone a little and continued, “I am rather busy now. After all, maintaining those tal objects of yours is quite taxing on my spirit, absorbing energy from the void and transmitting it to the tal objects is also arduous, and I am also trying to pursue breakthroughs in the level of life, evolving to a higher level. So, if you’re truly bored, you could help …”

“Hold on a second.” Tin Wood was suddenly interrupted by Richard here.

Richard seed to sense sothing, reaching into his garnts and took out a handkerchief, whereupon three magic runes quickly lit up, shining for around ten seconds before dimming.

“Contact for cooperation, eh? Seems just as I thought.” Richard observed it, squinting his eyes, and muttered to himself, “If that’s the case, I’ll return to the previous location, settle matters, and then we can explore the ruins. If everything goes well, exploring the ruins can be completed within three days, and bring back the items from the ruins for research is not too ti-consuming, better than gathering spells bit by bit.”

After finishing his words, Richard stepped towards the forest’s edge.

Taking a few steps, he rembered sothing, paused his steps, turned his head back to Tin Wood and spoke: “Hey, nearly forgot, you ntioned earlier that you needed my help, right?”

“Hmph, boy, you misheard, I never requested your help for anything.” Tin Wood coldly responded, “I said my ability is quite capable of handling everything in this forest, so go about your business, don’t continue to interfere with my work.”

“Are you sure?”

“Sure.”

“Alright then.” Richard shrugged, turned and left.

After walking about ten ters, he stopped again, turning his head with more seriousness towards Tin Wood, confirming and asking: “Really nothing wrong? You won’t be like Mr. Ah Fu back at the mining site, who wouldn’t admit to issues due to face or other reasons, will you? That’s not a good choice, regardless of being a person, a tree, or an immortal species, it’s better to be wise.”

“Hmph! Boy, why are you so verbose!” Tin Wood was displeased, directly urging him away, “Go on, leave quickly, I really have no issues, don’t overthink it!”

“Really? Well, alright, but if anything urgent arises, be sure to contact .” Richard urged finally, “I’ve given you the crystal ball for contact, and taught you the thod too, hope you haven’t forgotten.”

“Haven’t forgotten, just go.” Tin Wood spoke sparingly for the last ti.

Richard shrugged, no longer verbose, stepping firmly, he flew swiftly towards the forest’s edge.

Tin Wood watched Richard leave, and after tens of seconds, withdrew its gaze, focusing on the treatnt of the white wolf at its feet. After treating it for a while, it raised its head to gaze deeper into the forest in another direction, murmuring to the white wolf: “According to the plan, the attack should comnce soon; unexpectedly, within tens of minutes, your injury will be repaid a hundredfold.”

“Yes, repaid a hundredfold…”

“Awooo—”

The wounded white wolf seed to understand, letting out a cry.

The gray wolf nearby was moved by this and similarly cried out.

“Awooo—”

In the direction Tin Wood was watching, in a clearing in the forest.

Standing prominently here was an enormous honeycomb the size of a house, with tens of thousands of bees flying and hovering above the hive, producing a buzzing sound that resembled a black cloud due to the overly dense formation.

Upon closer inspection, one would notice these bees differed from ordinary bees, with considerably larger stingers. Additionally, a few bees had scorpion-like barbs on their stingers. So bees even had hollow, serrated stingers, resembling special tools for drilling holes.

The horrifying scene was maintained for so tens of seconds, when suddenly a cracking sound was heard, and a crack appeared on the surface of the giant honeycomb, quickly spreading.

With a loud crash, the whole honeycomb split in two, and a strange creature, as large as a rhino, erged from the hive.

The bizarre creature that erged sowhat resembled a beetle, covered in a black shell, with a flat head, two large compound eyes, and two antennae extending from the top end of the head. Yet, the most eye-catching feature was its enormous abdon below, resembling a storage with elasticity.

The mont it appeared, the multitude of bees above buzzed loudly, squeezing together either in fear or celebration, while the vast black ‘cloud’ instantaneously grew darker… unnervingly dark.
