Pompeii Town, Ground Square.

Under Cheka’s command, nurous wizards were about to collectively cast spells to eliminate Richard when, at the critical mont, ti seed to suddenly halt.

"Boom!"

A deep rumble echoed from the depths of the earth, like thunder striking the ground, or a terrifying demon king buried underground awakening.

Everyone’s heartbeat involuntarily paused, instinctively glancing towards the source of the sound.

Then they saw, in Zone 12 where Richard’s residence in Pompeii Town was situated, with a "buzz," the entire ground seed to undergo a powerful underground impact, rapidly bulging and deforming, reminiscent of baking bread dough.

A few solitary stone buildings were forcibly displaced, sliding towards the surroundings, while Richard’s residence at the center appeared too heavy for the surface to support, with a "crash" sound, sinking into the ground.

This was because the vast cavity ford instantaneously by the nuclear explosion was unstable, unable to maintain its structure, collapsing rapidly under the dual effects of gravity and shockwaves, dragging the upper soil down and forming a massive pit.

As the pit gradually ford, the shockwave of the atomic bomb propagated further and further, causing the entire Pompeii Town, the entire Vesuvius Dake volcano, and even more distant regions to tremble, producing an earthquake not weaker than a five-level one. Compared with a surface atomic bomb, an underground nuclear explosion does not produce the iconic mushroom cloud nor cause significant surface damage, making it relatively "conservative," but correspondingly, it can affect the underground to a greater extent.

Amid the tremors of the earthquake, Vesuvius Dake volcano began to roar, with a large amount of black smoke spewing out of the volcano, departing from its stable state and rushing towards an eruptive state.

Seeing this scene, Cheka couldn’t help but widen his eyes further, looking at Richard and urgently asking, "What did you do?"

"Huff—puff—"

Standing on the stone building at the southwest corner of the square, Richard continued to pant, glanced at Cheka, and smiled as he replied, "I just returned the light you wanted to embrace back to you."

"Huh?" Cheka hadn’t understood. Watching the depression in Zone 12 grow larger, with a diater already exceeding a hundred ters, and Long i’er’s figure completely absent, he couldn’t help but ask again, "What did you do to Supervisor Long i’er?"

"You’ll see him soon," Richard answered.

"Huh?" Cheka was taken aback, but then understood Richard’s implied aning: Richard was clearly saying he had already killed Long i’er, and he would soon kill him as well.

How is that possible? With Long i’er’s strength, how could he be killed... But with such significant movent now, Long i’er should have surfaced long ago. Long i’er’s delay in showing up indirectly proved Richard wasn’t lying.

Cheka’s entire body trembled, a fear growing within him that he couldn’t suppress: He didn’t know how Richard killed Long i’er, but whatever thod, it was terrifying. Initially, he thought that Richard was strong enough just by having killed him once before. But now, it seed that Richard exceeded his imagined limits by tenfold, even a hundredfold.

Against such a person, there could be no weakness or retreat; the weaker and more retreatful one was, the quicker one would die.

The only way to survive was to kill the opponent.

Only with the opponent dead, could he live.

Only with the opponent dead, would his actions not fail.

"Attack! Kill him!"

Cheka shouted aloud, once again ordering the wizards surrounding Richard to attack, bringing down his arm viciously as he spoke. Following that, he raised his hand, releasing a fla that blasted towards Richard, leading the initial attack.

The other wizards waited no longer, releasing their powerful spells prepared long ago, following Cheka’s lead and blasting towards Richard.

In an instant, an explosion of resplendent colors erupted within a few hundred ters, with red flas, golden lightning, green acid liquid, and white ice spears converging from all directions towards Richard.

Richard seed certain to die.

At this mont, the gigantic depression in Zone 12 grew even larger amidst its collapse, with its surface diater reaching 130 ters.

A swath of azure light crept silently from the depression onto the ground, then exploded with a roar.

"Shush!"

The azure light spread at an astonishing speed, with the spells released by the nurous wizards traveling only a few ters in the air before the light swept across the entire Pompeii Town, the entire Vesuvius Dake volcano, and further out into broader regions, then gradually disappeared.

Comparable to the speed of the azure light’s spread was the destructive effect it caused.

Wherever the azure light reached, all released spells were completely annihilated: Flas flickered a few tis stubbornly before extinguishing with a "whoosh"; lightning snaked along, disappearing into the air with a "crackle"; bubbles floated on the acid liquid, "gurgling" and evaporating; ice spears flying through the air shattered into pieces with a "crash"; energy missiles expanded rapidly, then vanished with a "pop"...

All the spells, when encountered by the azure light, vanished without a trace like snow eting boiling water, without a chance to resist.

Then, the azure light harshly collided into Richard, into Cheka, and into all the wizards present in every corner of Pompeii Town.

The calculated, extraordinary magic electromagnetic pulse exerted its power at that mont.

The ancient wizard civilization’s legendary fatal natural disaster—the Elent Tide—once again displayed its terrifying face on the continent.

Richard felt a cold breath sweep over his entire body, causing an involuntary shiver as his skin pores contracted uncontrollably. Subsequently, an opposite sensation of inexplicable searing heat surged within his body, with his blood almost boiling, a substantial amount of heat coursing through his veins, rushing towards the fount of his extraordinary power—the Magic Origin.

At the mont the heat poured into the Magic Origin, Richard’s body shook. He sensed the Free Energy Elents within the Magic Origin reaching an astonishing state of activity without any control, nearly spiraling out of control. The entire Magic Origin beca scalding hot, creating the illusion that it might lt.

Fortunately, having deliberately depleted himself beforehand, only a minuscule amount of Free Energy Elents remained in his Magic Origin, with no Mana at all.

Therefore, the disturbance in the Magic Origin subsided quickly and soon returned to normal.

On the other hand, Cheka was entirely different.

His Magic Origin was filled with a large amount of stable Mana, with most untouched except for a small portion used during his prior clash with Richard.

When the azure light struck his body, he felt a sudden flare of fiery intensity within, centering on the Magic Origin, as if a blazing fire had erupted. This "fla" rapidly spread through all the conduits within his body, subjecting him to the agony of "fire torture" throughout his entire being.

He had a premonition that in just a few seconds, his body would explode amidst the "fla," blasting into a mass of shredded flesh.

However, just before the explosion, he sensed a gentle yet powerful force erging deep within his body, starting to contend with the "fla," striving to restore his damaged body to normalcy—that was the force from Heaven.

However, the force from Heaven did not overwhelm; it didn’t even claim much advantage. Instead, it stubbornly engaged in a stalemate with the "fla," leaving each part of his body in a state of continuous damage and repair, letting him feel the cycle of muscle lting and rebirth, repeatedly.

The excruciating pain nearly drove Cheka insane, with the high temperature from the Magic Origin compelling him to want to cut open his body and scoop out the Magic Origin to crush it.

"Ugh!"

A warmth surged in his throat, prompting him to open his mouth and retch, spitting out a large mouthful of bubbly, steaming crimson blood.

"Ugh!"

Another mouthful.

"Ugh!"

Yet another.

Cheka continuously vomited blood, his expression twisted in agony.
