In the underground hall, the silhouette of Cheka atop the crystal ball continued to fade, almost disappearing completely.

But just before it completely vanished, Cheka seed to think of sothing and shouted loudly, "Lord Gray Mist, wait a mont!"

"Hm?" Gray Mist raised his head, his brow slightly furrowed.

Gorlov, who was manipulating the crystal ball, paused his actions and tilted his head towards Gray Mist, seeking instructions. He then saw Gray Mist nod to him.

"Yes." Gorlov replied, understanding in his heart. His hand, like a at patty, pressed on the crystal ball and mana was injected, rapidly restoring Cheka’s almost disappeared silhouette to normal.

Gray Mist looked at the "reappeared" Cheka and asked aloud, "So, Cheka, have you chosen how to be resurrected? Will it be at headquarters or waiting to be resurrected in Pompeii? Either way, for the ’Dead Sea,’ don’t even think about it for now."

"No, my lord, neither." Cheka shook his head, "I choose a fourth resurrection thod apart from resurrection at headquarters, Pompeii, or with the help of the ’Dead Sea’ lord."

"Fourth?" Gray Mist was slightly puzzled, "What?"

"To be resurrected directly in Heaven, and then descend into the real world." Cheka said seriously.

"This..." Gray Mist was stunned for a mont, then deeply furrowed his brow and after a while said, "This is indeed a good thod, able to et all your needs. However, it’s quite difficult to implent, otherwise many mbers of the organization would have used this thod long ago, and I wouldn’t have failed to ntion it just now.

To resurrect in Heaven and then descend, firstly, requires a specific tifra. Only at a specific ti can Heaven open the gate of descent to allow you to co down. If the timing isn’t right, all efforts are in vain. As for when the specific ti to descend is, that is Heaven’s highest secret, even I am not aware, surely angels are equally oblivious. Only the Silver Priest and the True God themselves know.

Secondly, there’s the resurrection approval. Resurrecting in Heaven is unlike resurrecting in the real world. Being resurrected there makes you a citizen of Heaven, your body will be the elected embodint—extrely powerful; however, the corresponding approval is difficult to pass, considering this is a significant resource expenditure. Moreover, you don’t have much Divine Favored, even if there was so previously, it’s been depleted during soul repair. Unless you are truly favored by the True God, it’s impossible to achieve.

Furthermore...

Gray Mist talked for a long ti, taking a deep breath and looking at Cheka, saying, "In short, this choice is unlikely to succeed, do you really want to try?"

"I want to try." Cheka said firmly, "Whether it’s the descent timing, resurrection approval, or anything else, leave it to fate and the True God to decide. The only thing I need now is your support, Lord Gray Mist. Only with your grant of resurrection rights can I apply in Heaven—after all, my status is still too low."

"Alright." Gray Mist said, raising his hand towards the image of Cheka within the crystal ball.

"Swish!"

A colorful light burst forth from the Seven-Colored Ring Gray Mist was wearing and flew towards the image.

The next mont, the image brightened.

...

Pompeii Town.

Richard saw the small dot in the sky getting closer to the ground, under the effect of gravitational acceleration, its descent speed increased, and its volu gradually grew. It could vaguely be seen that it was a droplet-shaped object.

The front of the object rubbed fiercely against the air, with fine dust being peeled away, then oxidized and ignited, dragging out a long fla tail behind it, very much like a teor.

At this mont, the speed of the object had evidently exceeded several tis the speed of sound, in other words, it was falling faster than the transmission of sound, hence no rumbling could be heard, it moved in total silence.

Approaching, continuously approaching.

The speed of the peculiar object reached its peak, Richard hadn’t yet taken many steps when the object was already just a few thousand ters away from the ground. So wizards on the street noticed this situation, so pointed and discussed with companions, others’ expressions changed, quickly running into office points.

"Buzz!"

At a few thousand ters from the ground, the droplet-shaped object suddenly shook, flashing red, orange, and yellow colors across its surface. A large amount of stone-like debris and fragnts peeled off due to the impact, igniting, causing the overall speed of the object to suddenly decrease, as if it had fallen into viscous liquid, or as if it had opened an invisible parachute.

"Boom!"

After the speed reduction, the droplet-shaped object remained fast, but below the speed of sound. This also led to thunderous sound quickly spreading, echoing throughout Pompeii Town.

Instantly, Pompeii Town was on high alert, many wizards erged, vigilantly watching the suddenly appearing droplet-shaped object.

Long i’er on the second floor of the office also heard, the wizard who entered the office had yet to report to him, but he had already transford into a beam of golden light landing on the square, looking up at the droplet-shaped object. Raising his hand, he stopped the many wizards’ aggressive actions, indicating the droplet-shaped object posed no harm, but his face didn’t look good, it was quite grave.

After a short while, the waterdrop-shaped object reached a point in the sky just a few hundred ters above the ground, allowing everyone to clearly see its shape.

Looking at it, the entire object was about three ters long and over a ter wide. Due to its rapid descent, the front part of the "water drop" had been partially burned up in the air, making it look like a "cocoon" or, perhaps, an "egg".

"Buzz!"

The object shook again, and this ti, flashes of green, blue, and purple light swept across its surface, drastically reducing its speed once more, by more than half.

But even so, the object, akin to an out-of-control locomotive, crashed heavily into the square of Pompeii Town at nearly a hundred ters per second.

"Boom!"

Even at the mont of impact, the object showed a noticeable rebound action, yet it still created a crater a ter deep. The powerful impact spread out, flinging dense rubble everywhere, and the wizards surrounding it quickly cast shields to block the debris.

Richard also summoned a shield to defend himself, while glancing around with the corner of his eye, looking for an opportunity to leave. At that mont, more and more wizards were drawn by the commotion and surrounded the square so tightly that it left no room to move. If he wanted to leave by pretending to act normally, it would be quite difficult.

But if he tried to push through the crowd and force his way out, it would easily arouse suspicion.

What to do?

Richard thought swiftly; he had no interest in joining the crowd to investigate or study the fallen object. He just wanted to avoid getting involved in any unexpected complications at the last mont.

However, the object gave him no such chance, as almost in the next instant, there was a movent.

"Crack!"

The top of the object cracked open like an eggshell, releasing a thick plu of black smoke and the acrid stench of burning protein.

"Cough cough cough!"

Amidst a bout of coughing, a man whose entire body was nearly charred crawled out from the "eggshell" and fell to the ground with a thud.

The onlookers showed various expressions. After a few seconds, the man, who seed to be on the verge of death, slowly stood up. He gripped his charred skin with both hands and tore it off forcefully, shedding it like a piece of clothing from head to toe and tossing it aside, revealing the blurred flesh beneath.

The blurred flesh wriggled and rapidly grew, and within a few breaths, new skin and hair ford, restoring him to normal.

The man looked up at the crowd, revealing a very ordinary-looking face. Surveying the crowd, his gaze quickly locked onto soone—Long i’er.

The man slightly lowered his head as if in a salute and said, "Hello, Supervisor Long i’er. I apologize for interrupting you in this way, but the situation is quite urgent. Moreover, my luck seems as if it has been watched over by the True God, allowing to descend directly from Heaven onto Pompeii. Oh, I almost forgot, let introduce myself. I am the Inspector you saw die in front of you—Cheka."

Long i’er’s eyebrows arched, and his eyes widened slightly. After a second, he returned to normal and nodded calmly, "Inspector Cheka, I’m glad you have resurrected and returned, and have descended upon Pompeii. I’m sorry for your previous sacrifice, but I’ve already explained the details to headquarters. I’m a bit curious, are you so eager to co to Pompeii to overturn my report and investigate another cause of your death?"

"Ha, I don’t dare. The reason I’m in such a hurry to co to Pompeii is just to confirm sothing." Cheka said.

"What?" Long i’er asked.

"Please wait a mont, Supervisor Long i’er." Cheka smiled apologetically, "Please allow to first ascertain the whereabouts of the target I’m looking for."

As he finished speaking, Cheka raised an arm, and his palm opened. A beam of white light shot straight into the sky.

The white light soared to a height of a hundred ters and then split into eight parts with a "pop", sending what looked like eight white arrows flying in the directions of east, south, west, north, northeast, northwest, southeast, and southwest.

The white arrows flew with incredible speed, vanishing over the horizon in an instant.

But in the very next mont, the whistling sound of "swoosh" filled the air, and the eight arrows returned simultaneously.

"Hmm?"

Cheka’s eyes widened with surprise, clearly not expecting this outco. He then saw the eight white arrows fly straight at an inconspicuous figure on the edge of the square, colliding with the person’s energy shield and dispersing.

Cheka blinked, looking at the figure, and then at a slightly frowning Richard, showing obvious surprise before he broke into a smile.

"Wizard Richard? Oh, it’s nice to see you again!"
