Capítulo 1074: Chapter 1072: I Want to Leave “Gently

Looking at the three implosion-type atomic bombs in front of him, Richard stretched his sowhat stiff limbs, and imdiately a series of “crackling” bone sounds echoed throughout his body.

An indescribable fatigue followed, as if he were filled with lead, making it difficult even to lift an arm, and his ten fingers felt imnsely swollen and painful—though they appeared normal in shape, they seed to have swelled into carrots.

There was no way around it.

Even though he had used nurous spells to enhance his physical attributes and stimulate his bodily potential, after nearly ten days of intense work, followed by three more sleepless days and nights after the accident, his body still struggled to bear this level of exhaustion.

Nevertheless, while his body was tired, his spirit was more relaxed than ever.

At this mont, Richard couldn’t help but ponder the things he needed to do next.

Since the nuclear weapons were already manufactured, there was no need for hesitation; leaving Pompeii as soon as possible was the best choice.

After all, he had previously confird that operating under a hidden identity in Pompeii was akin to dancing on the edge of a knife in enemy-occupied territory. Although he could reap considerable short-term rewards, there was a constant risk of exposure, and one mistake would lead to utter ruin.

Only by leaving Pompeii could he ensure safety.

Besides safety considerations, for the next step in his nuclear weapons plan, he also needed to leave Pompeii and find an extrely remote uninhabited area.

The purpose of manufacturing nuclear weapons was already clear in his mind: first, to conduct particle research on a microscopic level to understand so of the basic constructs of this world, thereby completing his theories. Second, to use them as a strategic nuclear weapon capable of “overturning the table,” giving him a trump card to negotiate with certain people or factions and preventing his objectives and plans from being disrupted by various incidents.

For research, he needed a remote uninhabited area to conduct multiple nuclear experints and nuclear explosions for data collection and analysis.

As for actually flattening an area with nuclear weapons to intimidate the Truth Society or other organizations, while it was a sowhat exciting thought, he did not currently intend to do so—unless he was left with no other choice.

Quite frankly, apart from research purposes, he had no desire to misuse nuclear weapons.

Just like when he was in the Blue Lion Kingdom, he controlled the spread of certain technologies, or when he was on the East Coast, he refrained from casually using pneumonia fungus spores as a biological weapon.

All of this was to prevent unpredictable changes from occurring.

He is a researcher, and everything he does is to uncover the truths of the world—whether it was previously exploring extraordinary creatures in the Blue Lion Kingdom or now manufacturing nuclear weapons, this goal has never changed.

The purpose of building nuclear weapons was to observe the operating rules of the most fundantal particles of this world, thereby indirectly understanding a part of the world’s truth.

That was a truly promising endeavor.

As for dropping nuclear weapons or creating mushroom clouds, it felt a bit rash; in a sense, it’s no different from using a butcher knife to kill a person, except that it’s more efficient, elegant, and terrifying.

In fact, he had always wanted to be a “mild” person, advancing according to his plan in a “mild” manner—unless others deliberately obstructed him or affected his plans, it would be a different matter.

And to be a “mild” person, one must avoid causing trouble unnecessarily and should strive to conduct nuclear explosion research as discreetly as possible.

Locations that et these criteria are not many, but not few either.

He could think of three places now: an uninhabited island in the vast ocean, the center of the sprawling desert in the Sika Kingdom, and the secluded mountain ranges of the North Wilderness.

Which to choose?

The uninhabited islands in the ocean, while secretive, might take so ti to find a perfectly suitable island, and going to sea is quite an effort.

The center of the vast desert in the Sika Kingdom can effectively eliminate the interference of unrelated people and is relatively easy to find, but it is, after all, within the Sika Kingdom. The Sika Kingdom, though now only the second kingdom after the Soma Alliance and once the largest, still boasts a substantial foundation. There might be no issue before or during the nuclear explosion experints, but it’s hard to ensure that after the explosion soone powerful from the Sika Kingdom won’t detect it.

With that in mind, the North Wilderness seems like the best option.

The population sparsity in the North Wilderness might not match that of uninhabited islands in the sea, but it certainly surpasses the Sika Kingdom. Essentially, it’s a barren land—a forgotten corner of the world.

The most important point is that the North Wilderness is mountainous, which can prevent the impact of nuclear explosions from spreading too far, aiding concealnt and allowing more ti to collect onsite data.

Should the North Wilderness be chosen as the site for the upcoming nuclear weapon explosion experints?

Richard made his decision, nodding lightly as a plan rapidly ford in his mind: Next, he needed to study the map, determine the route to the North Wilderness, and then handle the Truth Society’s affairs. If all went well, he would leave Pompeii early the next morning, depart from the Truth Society, and officially head to the North Wilderness.

Leaving early the next day gave him a day or more, nearly two days of ti before his residence was dismantled the day after tomorrow.

If the residence was dismantled according to the original plan set in the conference room, even if he was unlucky and the tunnel beneath his residence was quickly discovered, and then the underground space beneath the tunnel got exposed, by the ti the Truth Society fully understood everything and prepared to capture him in sha, he would have been gone from Pompeii for two or even three days.

That should count as absolute safety.

Absolute safety… Richard muttered to himself, unable to resist the mories of his experiences at the White Stone Tower on the East Coast. In truth, he still harbors a slight grudge about it.

Back at the White Stone Tower on the East Coast, he had learned ahead of ti, through an out-of-body thod, about the Supre Order Divine Society’s plans against the White Stone Tower.

Due to the various preparations required for temporary departure and the confird information, he risked leaving the White Stone Tower only the day before the Supre Order Divine Society’s action.

As a result, he never expected the Supre Order Divine Society to advance its plans suddenly, coinciding exactly with his departure.

This led to a situation where Pandora was injured, and he was deeply ensnared in danger.

Ultimately, he risked a surprise attack on the Order God Society’s division within White Stone Tower, using the pneumonia fungus spore biochemical weapon for the first and only ti. Along with the extrely powerful tallic Rubik’s Cube left by the Black Spirit King, he delivered a crushing blow to the Supre Order Divine Society, resolving the matter.

Of course, very soon, the Supre Order Divine Society retaliated against the White Stone Tower, using unknown thods to summon a teor shower, delivering another “near wipeout,” effectively crushing the forces of the White Stone Tower.

In conclusion, it’s safe to say that in the White Stone Tower, whether due to his confidence or negligence, the outco didn’t quite align with his plans.

Therefore, to prevent a similar situation from happening again, he worked tirelessly this ti, saving up so much ti.

Barring any accidents, there would be a ti gap of three days or more this ti, surely nothing could go wrong again, right?

Richard shook his head with a self-deprecating smile, feeling it was unlikely, and stepped out.
