Capítulo 1047: Chapter 1045: It’s Not Too Late Yet
The Witch Demon Elder watched all of this expressionlessly. With so many turnabouts, he no longer knew how to feel.
Watching the Eight-Ard Skeleton’s effortless attacks and the terrifying display of power, images of its previous clumsy fall and absorbing his energy through a handshake kept flashing in his mind.
For so reason, he suddenly recalled sothing Richard had said before. When Richard said it, he didn’t understand; even now, he didn’t quite get it, but he vaguely felt it might be suitable for the current situation.
Richard once said: Energy neither cos from nowhere nor disappears into nothingness. It rely transforms from one form to another, or transfers from one object to others. Throughout this process, the total amount of energy remains unchanged.
Perhaps the Eight-Ard Skeleton had already used all its strength on the first Bone Spear, and so it beca incredibly weak after throwing it. Then, after absorbing his energy, it was able to simultaneously control five Bone Spears and violently assault Tin Wood.
If that were true, then he should be stronger than the Eight-Ard Skeleton. After all, the Eight-Ard Skeleton could only control one Bone Spear to attack once with its strength. After absorbing his energy, however, it could control five Bone Spears to attack multiple tis.
Based on calculations, his strength should be over five tis that of the Eight-Ard Skeleton.
But why can the stronger him not defeat Tin Wood, while the Eight-Ard Skeleton can manage it?
The Witch Demon Elder thought hard as the Eight-Ard Skeleton beside him jabbed relentlessly with five Bone Spears, making Tin Wood’s situation increasingly dire.
Initially, Tin Wood shouted angrily and tried to resist, but gradually, his tone weakened.
“Damn, you pile of bones, I’ve seen you fall. How did you suddenly beco so powerful?”
“Damn it, what kind of evil magic did you use to hurt so badly?”
“Stop, you stop, or else I won’t be polite!”
“You… You can pierce through my entire body?!”
“Don’t… Don’t attack, I was wrong.”
“Ah! I surrender, okay? I surrender, stop hitting !”
Tin Wood’s tone weakened considerably when the Eight-Ard Skeleton drove a massive five-in-one Bone Spear through him, causing him to beg for rcy in fright.
But the Eight-Ard Skeleton paid no heed to his voice, continuing its relentless assault as if not satisfied until Tin Wood was ground to dust.
Amid the chaos, the Witch Demon Elder could no longer think, shook his head, and grumbled, “Forget it, forget it. Perhaps it’s so damned calculation I missed. As long as I, a Witch Demon, can use magic, what’s the use in figuring all this out?”
Finally, unable to hold back, he turned his head toward the Eight-Ard Skeleton and raised an eyebrow, asking, “Hey, you really intend to beat it to death?”
The Eight-Ard Skeleton turned its head slightly to glance at the Witch Demon Elder, the golden flas in its eye sockets rippling like water. It then turned back, waved its hand, and the five Bone Spears rcilessly attacked Tin Wood once more.
“Puff, puff, puff,” the spears stabbed into Tin Wood’s already battered trunk, causing the barely breathing Tin Wood to scream in pain again.
“Ah! Ah!”
The Witch Demon Elder watched, touched his nose, and fell silent. Although he didn’t understand why the “weaker” Eight-Ard Skeleton could defeat the stronger Tin Wood, he clearly realized that his status in Eden might have dropped a notch, so it was best to stay silent.
…
Elsewhere.
In Eden, within a private study.
“Chirp chirp!”
The ear-piercing alarm sounds continuously echoed in.
“Woof woof woof!”
The Golden Yellow Dog shrank in the corner, barking incessantly at the door.
“Ssssss…”
Pandora sat behind the desk, holding a Quill, scribbling furiously on papyrus, while her large round eyes kept calculating.
Whether it was due to the need to dissipate heat while her brain worked at high speed, her bangs were all pushed to the side, revealing a curved forehead adorned with beads of sweat slowly sliding down.
“Snap!”
Suddenly, Pandora paused her calculations with the Quill, quickly jotted down a series of numbers on the papyrus, slapped the desk, and exclaid, “I figured it out, I figured it out!”
The successful calculation of the mathematical model for the “improved collective Magic Puppet.”
She took a light breath, shook her head, flinging the beads of sweat from her forehead, set down the Quill, and began organizing the scattered papers on the desk. Then her brow furrowed as she finally heard the sharp “chirp” from outside.
Pandora stopped her actions, suddenly looked toward the door, and exclaid in surprise, “An alarm? When did it start?”
No one answered.
Pandora pursed her lips, turned angrily towards the corner, and scolded the Golden Yellow Dog curled there, “Don’t tell it’s been ringing for a while. Why didn’t you warn ?”
“Woof! Woof! Woof!”
The Golden Yellow Dog barked in grievance, seeming to have tears in its eyes, as if saying: Wasn’t my barking enough warning? Speak with conscience, woof!
“Forget it, I won’t argue with you.” Pandora replied to the Golden Yellow Dog’s bark, “I should go out and check. Hope we’re not too late.”
With that, Pandora lightly jumped over the large desk, banged the door open, and ran outside.
The scene outside imdiately unfolded before her eyes.
The Witch Demon Elder was lying on the ground in an awkward position, not appearing too seriously injured but sowhat depleted—as if a negative number, knowing it was less than zero, stubbornly tried to be squared, only to beco imaginary—a complex number.
Next to the Witch Demon Elder stood a sowhat familiar Eight-Ard Skeleton. It looked like the one that previously didn’t obey the Witch Demon Elder at all, now controlling five Bone Spears to attack Tin Wood.
Tin Wood appeared to have no resistance left in a large pit, at the rcy of the Eight-Ard Skeleton, continually screaming but undeniably alive.
Seeing all this, Pandora quickly deduced what had transpired.
Most likely, Tin Wood caused trouble, got discovered by the Witch Demon Elder, who tried to stop it. But the elder’s prowess was insufficient, leading him to get beaten instead. Just then, the Eight-Ard Skeleton arrived to save the elder and avenge Tin Wood.
“Phew—”
Pandora sighed, unable to resist saying, “Thank goodness!”
Perhaps she spoke a tad too loud, catching everyone’s attention. The Witch Demon Elder imdiately looked over, initially surprised, then expressing anger and loudly complained, “Hey, little girl, where were you earlier? Why show up just now? Don’t you know I almost died!”
The flas in the Eight-Ard Skeleton’s eye sockets flickered, looking at Pandora, pausing its attack.
Tin Wood seized the opportunity, yelling with all its might, “Hey, I surrender, I surrender! Stop hitting , I surrender! Little girl, did you hear ? I’ve surrendered, stop the attacks!”
Pandora glanced at Tin Wood without answering, but her lips barely apart, murmuring. A closer listen could catch: “Thank goodness, the troubleso tree hasn’t been killed. If it’s not dead, there’s still a chance to act; this ans… I’m not too late.”
