Chapter 1019: Chapter 1017: Futu

“Futu?” Pandora furrowed her brows upon hearing the na and remarked, “What a strange na.”

“It’s quite normal,” Ken replied. “As I said, this is sothing docunted in the Ancient Wizard Civilization, so the na cos from ancient language. I rember, according to the book, this na can be split and explained separately: ‘Fu’ and ‘Tu’.

‘Fu’ ans to float, indicating that this creature has the ability to fly. ‘Tu’, on the other hand, refers to a plant that only existed in ancient tis and is now extinct. It’s said to look very ordinary, like a small white flower commonly found in wild fields, but it possesses terrifying toxicity that no life can resist. Hence, this word is used to imply that the creature ‘Futu’ is very powerful and frightening.

‘Futu’ is quite similar to your current collective magic puppet, both composed of individual entities, massive in size, and almost without limitation. Moreover, it can split off a part of its body at any ti to form new life to cope with different situations, boasting incredible combat capabilities.

It is a top-notch war weapon, usually requiring only one ‘Futu’ to end a war. Ordinary humans can hardly resist it, and even wizards find it difficult to effectively harm it. It is often used to contend with the floating islands or floating cities from the Ancient Wizard Civilization.

Imagine a Floating City capable of housing hundreds of thousands of people, suspended in the air and existing as its own Independent Kingdom, almost completely preventing any possibility of external attack. Suddenly, a ‘Futu’ hundreds of ters, if not thousands, breaks out from the clouds. Its body is covered in golden scales like it’s forged from gold, with horns on its head resembling a battering ram, a slender body like a snake, claws like a fierce beast, and moving quickly through the air as if swimming in water.

In just a few seconds, ‘Futu’ approaches the Floating City, pierces through the spell barrier, crashes into the center, and rapidly destroys most of the buildings and defensive setups in the city, causing massive casualties and almost collapsing all resistance. Then its body quickly divides, turning into thousands of smaller magic puppets, dispersing throughout the city like an army to deal with the last of the enemies. In just a few hours, a Floating City is completely destroyed.”

The Witch Demon Elder finished speaking slowly, his expression slightly excited.

The Eight-Ard Skeleton, standing beside him, seed to be affected by his words. The ghostly blue flas in its eye sockets burned, and a hint of orange light shone from the depths of the flas, staring fixedly at the assembled bloated skull, unmoving.

Pandora didn’t notice the change in the Eight-Ard Skeleton and, after so thought, asked the Witch Demon Elder, “It sounds aweso, even more powerful than a dragon.”

“Of course,” the Witch Demon Elder replied matter-of-factly, “Much more powerful than a dragon, especially like you, thousands, if not tens of thousands of tis more powerful. It’s said that part of the na ‘dragon’ cos from the ancient word ‘Futu’.”

“Is that so?” Pandora mused, then pondered sothing, “If it truly is thousands or tens of thousands of tis more powerful than , then wouldn’t it be a hundred thousand tis stronger than you?”

Upon hearing this, the Witch Demon Elder’s face darkened slightly, and he replied, discontentedly, “Little girl, don’t push your luck. The fight earlier, I held back because I didn’t want to hurt you or waste precious soul power, not because I couldn’t beat you. After all, I want to live for a few more hundred years. Otherwise, if I really tried, I could defeat you with one hand.”

“Humph,” Pandora snorted, evidently unbelieving.

The Witch Demon Elder waved his hand, unwilling to argue, and said, “Alright, let’s not talk about that. Let’s focus on creating your collective magic puppet. Initially, I wasn’t interested, but now I’m genuinely curious to see if your creation could develop into the legendary ‘Futu’. ”

“Alright, what’s the first step you’re going to take?” Pandora asked.

“Well…” The Witch Demon Elder hesitated, gnashing his teeth slightly as he looked at the bloated puppet for several seconds without noticing anything, then turned to the Eight-Ard Puppet and asked, “What do you think?”

The Eight-Ard Skeleton remained motionless, standing still, as if it hadn’t heard anything.

It was only then that the Witch Demon Elder noticed sothing unusual about the Eight-Ard Skeleton, exclaiming in surprise. Pandora looked over at the sound.

“What’s happening to him?” Pandora asked.

“I don’t know,” the Witch Demon Elder shook his head, perplexed, and moved closer to the Eight-Ard Skeleton, only to find it still staring at the prototype of the collective magic puppet. The ghostly blue flas in its eye sockets slowly changed color. The left eye was all right, but a small half of the right eye had turned orange-yellow, presenting a strange and mysterious heterochromatic look.

“What on earth is happening? Did sothing provoke it?” the Witch Demon Elder was full of confusion. He had long realized the uniqueness of the Eight-Ard Skeleton and accepted its unusual existence. But he hadn’t anticipated that the previous display was only a beginning, and now it was undergoing even more significant changes.

The Witch Demon Elder was trying to figure out the cause of this change when the Eight-Ard Skeleton suddenly moved, withdrawing its gaze from the prototype of the collective magic puppet, turning around slowly, and walking away, ignoring the Witch Demon Elder’s calls.

“Hey! Hey!”

The Witch Demon Elder shouted, watching the Eight-Ard Skeleton slowly walk over to a nearby house and sit down against the wall.

“Crack!”

The Eight-Ard Skeleton snapped off a bone from its left lower leg and began tapping gently on the bone of its right leg, producing a rhythmic sound.

“Thud, thud, thud, thud! Thud, thud, thud, thud!”

“This…” The Witch Demon Elder was completely baffled and, sensing Pandora’s gaze upon him, opened his mouth and said, “Don’t bother asking ; I don’t know. How could I possibly explain what he’s doing now, especially if the conversation we had about ‘Futu’ sparked so mories from his previous life? Could it be he was a ‘Futu’ before?”

Pandora spoke softly, “I think he might be feeling a bit hosick.”

“Hosick?”

“Listen to the rhythm of him tapping the bone; it’s repeating continuously, almost like playing a drum or sothing,” Pandora said, frowning. “Maybe he’s recalling sothing, but whether it’s ‘Futu’, who knows?”

“Of course not,” the Witch Demon Elder stated confidently. “‘Futu’ disappeared along with the Ancient Wizard Civilization, not even leaving behind a bone, so it’s pointless to think about it.

Alright, if he’s hosick, let him be. anwhile, we have our work to focus on. I’ve just had a new idea for giving your collective magic puppet a backbone to improve structural strength and facilitate assembly. However, the specific data needs to be calculated by you.”

“Okay.” Pandora nodded, ran back to her room, and began calculating on paper.

A dragon and a Witch Demon busied themselves, while the Eight-Ard Skeleton sat on the side, percussioning on its bones like an accompanint.

“Thud, thud, thud, thud! Thud, thud, thud, thud!”
