Chapter 1013: Chapter 1011: The Truth of the World
“Our ultimate goal is to establish a gigantic spell blackout to obscure the starlit sky of the world, entirely maintained by the energy deep within the earth,” said Long i’er in a deep voice, “Eventually, Pompeii will beco the representative of new towns in this world. Wizards will use energy nodes to replenish energy, while ordinary people will rely on the energy from these nodes to produce various products and food.
Imagine, at that ti, ordinary wizards, unable to replenish energy on their own and being restricted, will see their status greatly diminish. In contrast, ordinary people will enhance their status due to efficient production with the aid of energy.
At that ti, everything will no longer be decided by spell, but by the ans of extracting energy from deep within the earth, which is the magic rune. Only through the solidifying effect of the magic rune can energy be continuously extracted to sustain the operation of the new world. Those who can innovate magic runes, extract more energy, and better utilize energy will beco the ‘New Wizards’ of this new world.”
Is this preparing to transition from a mystical world to a technological world… Upon hearing Long i’er, Richard couldn’t help but think, while nurous thoughts erged in his mind.
The first being surprise at the actual existence of the True God.
He always thought that the leaders of the Truth Society rely used the na of the True God to control lower-level mbers for so unspeakable purpose. But according to Long i’er, the Truth Society was not founded because of the belief in the True God, but by the True God himself.
This suggests that the True God is an entity.
And if the True God is an entity, the problem arises.
Why is there only one True God and no others? What kind of life form is the True God? What degree of power does the True God possess, and why doesn’t it act directly but instead relies on human power to achieve its goals?
According to Long i’er, the plan of the Truth Society is to transform the entire world under the instruction of the True God, turning the Wizard World into so kind of magic-punk world. Utilizing the spell blackout to shield stellar energy, to achieve the goal of “closed nation”, relying entirely on the planet’s core energy for enclosed, independent survival, and avoiding disasters.
Then why does the True God want to do this? Why such a passive attitude, believing that catastrophic disasters will occur in the future? How was this guessed? Why so certain that the guessed result is correct?
Or perhaps, the True God is not guessing, but actually experienced it personally, and everything done is not to avoid but to prevent reoccurrence?
It is said, according to the sparse record, in a distant age, the imnsely powerful ancient wizard civilization was once destroyed, and the current Wizard World is built piece by piece on the ruins of ancient civilization.
Could the True God have so connection with the destroyed ancient wizard civilization?
Sotis, so words should not be genuinely believed, but understood in reverse.
Boldly speculating, the True God has existed for such a long age, it must be a special kind of life form, could it be the reason for the destruction of the ancient wizard civilization? Maybe the True God is the so-called disaster, and it was He who destroyed the ancient wizard civilization, occupying this world. However, this world is unsuitable for His survival, so He controls the Truth Society for transformation.
Or perhaps the True God did not eliminate all of the ancient wizard civilization, but rely drove away the ancient wizards, creating the so-called blackout to prevent the driven away ancient wizards from counterattacking?
Furthermore, what if everything about the True God is fabricated? Actually, the upper echelon of the Truth Society have undisclosed motives, rely using the na of the True God to achieve them. The so-called spell blackout and world transformation are just blinds, with the truly important matters hidden deeply under them.
Needless to say, rely listening to others makes understanding the truth too difficult, indistinguishable from falsehood, requiring oneself to uncover it for certainty.
Thus, the research and manufacturing plans for nuclear weapons still need completion.
Calming down, Richard looked towards Long i’er.
At this mont, Long i’er was looking towards the nurous buildings outside the hall, at the mountainside, and said aloud, “Well, Wizard Richard, what I’ve told you is basically everything I can disclose to you regarding the truth of this world. In short, this is the unique Pompeii, welco to this origin of the future new world.”
“It’s an honor.”
“If you wish, you can get a residence here, facilitating your long-term stay, allowing you to exchange so thoughts with other wizards here, solve so issues encountered during your research and help resolve so troubles.”
“Alright.” Richard nodded.
…
In a blink, the next day.
Vesuvius Dake volcano, halfway up the mountain, a three-story stone building in the middle of Pompeii Town.
Richard stayed in a room on the third floor of the stone building, temporarily residing, a sudden knock sounded on the door.
“Knock knock knock…”
With a creak, Richard opened the door and saw a tall witch standing outside.
The other’s height exceeded 1.8 ters, with a slender figure, yet not appearing frail, making Richard think of so female volleyball players on Earth.
The other held a stack of docunts, upon opening the door, slightly lowered her head, looked down with a smile, and asked, “You must be Wizard Richard?”
“Who are you?”
“Hello, Wizard Richard, my na is Inogova, a Level One Wizard, responsible for handling so daily affairs of Pompeii Town. Apologies for disturbing you, I am here following Supervisor Long i’er’s instructions to invite you to choose a long-term residence in Pompeii.” the other said.
“Please co in.” Richard heard and invited the other in.
Inogova lowered her head, entered the house, placed the files in her hand on the table in the room, pulled out a map, and unfolded it, saying, “Wizard Richard, take a look, this is all the buildings in Pompeii Town currently, those marked in red are already in use and cannot be chosen. Besides them, all buildings in gray can be selected by you.”
Richard looked at the map and saw thousands of buildings arranged on it.
After a while, he asked Inogova, “Can you let consider for a while, I’m currently unable to determine which building suits ?”
“Of course.” Inogova replied without much surprise, “Wizard Richard, you can take your ti considering, as long as you don’t drag too long. In fact, I also suggest you choose carefully. Because once a choice is made, changing again requires so very complicated procedures.
I would like to remind you friendly regarding buildings, levels and area are not very important, what is important is the location. For instance, so buildings, due to the shape of the mountain, receive a lot of falling volcanic ash, almost burying people, must be avoided. I suggest you walk around these days, view specific locations, then decide on a building to choose.”
“Thank you, Inogova Wizard.”
“You’re welco.” Inogova said, leaving a relatively simple building layout map, picked up the files, and walked out of the door.
Inside the door, Richard looked at the map, his eyebrows moved slightly, as if having so special thoughts.
